Alpha Helix: Elementals Concept ContestHello everyone. Welcome to my Elementals Concept Contest. Look around, have fun, and most importantly, don't ask me something without reading the whole thing. Enjoy. (:
The purpose of this contest is to create another pack in Alpha Helix, seeing as we seem to be lacking in active ones. The theme, if you couldn't tell by now, is elementals. The winner of this contest will win one Alpha for this pack of elementals. Please scroll down below for more information.
Starts: Now (Wednesday July 15, 2009) Ends: Sunday July 19, 2009 at 12pm GST | 4pm PST | 5pm MST | 6pm CST | 7pm EST
Rules: • One entry per person. • Read everything before asking questions. • You may post questions here if you wish to do so. I'll reply to any and all questions posted here, in the main thread, or event thread ASAP if it applies to this particular contest. • Remember, if you own an Alpha, you're required to pop into the main thread at least once a month, so if you don't plan to hang around, I suggest you don't apply. • You may edit your post as often as you wish until closing time. However, I can't say for certain whether I'll notice an edit or not, so please mention it if you edit your post (and specify what you edited).
Judge(s): • Myself. • Anyone else I may choose to help me.
Judging On: • Concept and creativity. Many of us know how a basic pack works, but tell me, how does the pack you wish to create stand out? (Besides the fact that the members are elementals. xD) • Roleplay Abilities. This includes: • • Grammar. I won't be too harsh on this. I just need to know you have the ability to communicate fluently in the English language. xD • • How well your story can fit into the world of Alpha Helix. • • Your use of vocabulary. • • Length. If you give me one sentence and leave it at that, it's an automatic loss. • Neatness. Remember, if you win this, you'll have a whole pack. I'll want to know if you have the skills to keep things organized. This is why the form is... small. I'll leave it up to you to organize the required information as you see fit. You're less likely to have a chance at winning if I have a hard time finding the information required (see below for more information regarding this).
Required Information: Please make sure you stick this information somewhere on your form. The way it's organized is up to you. • Name of the pack. • Name, gender, and element of the Alpha of said pack. (The one you're keeping.) • Element and owner of your Alpha's mate. (Not required if your Alpha dosen't have a mate. If you'd like to give out your Alpha's mate via Roleplay Contest, just state so, and if you win, we'll go into deeper discussion about the contest.) • What type of members the pack has. (Ex: Does this pack allow Omegas?) • The elements of certain ranks. (Ex: Gamma(s): Fire, water, earth, air. Please note that I take what you list as suggestions. This the final decision is mine, not yours. I'll be sure to take all of your suggestions seriously, though.) • History. You own the Alpha and members are going to be given out throughout the event, meaning that by the end of the event, the pack will already be established. So obviously, there's going to be a history. Tell me how the members met and decided to make a pack and whatnot. • Pack Information. What's everyday pack life like? Which territory do they live in and what's it like? Do they honor a certain god or goddess? Do they hold sacrifices every night or have a certain festival? What? You tell me. • Plans. What are you hoping for with this pack? (Some sort of plot, I hope.) • Additional notes. If you have any, plop them in your post.
Additional Information: • [ Main Thread ] | [ Guild ] | If you're new, I'll leave it up to you to find out more about Alpha Helix instead of having me point out every important thing to you. This will prove to me that you're determined enough to go for a pack. (: • Winged helixes are only allowed in the East so... if you'd like any winged helixes, I suggest you go there. (Keep in mind, though, that I suck with wings.) • I would prefer it if you didn't choose "metal" as an element, seeing as I'm bad with those kinds of edits. However, you're still allowed to pick it if you want. • Any element can be made into a helix, but only one of each element is allowed. (Ex: You can't have to fire helixes running around.) • Please, keep the world of Alpha Helix in mind. You can not say these helixes were god/desses and fell or something of the sort. If you're unsure on what is acceptable, just ask. • If you need ideas on elements, have a simple list: fire, earth, water, air, lightning, ice, light, dark, sound, etc. • This is not a custom for an Alpha. You pick an element and the appearance of the helix is up to me. I will allow minimal changes if some parts displease you but, again, this is not a custom. • By winning this contest, you are allowed to keep the elemental Alpha you have chosen. His or her mate (rules state that the mate must be of opposite gender; please don't complain to me about it, I don't pick the rules) can be given away to a friend or a Roleplay contest will be held for it. Your Alpha can have no mate at all if you'd like. • If you decided not to give your Alpha a mate, then you may choose another rank (such as Beta) with any element (besides the element of your Alpha) and give it away/host a Roleplay Contest for it. (If you choose this option, please specify it in your post.) • Although they are elementals, they have no powers they can control at will. For example, a fire elemental may have fire wrapping around its leg but the helix can not destroy the fire, let it grow, choose what it affects and what it doesn't, etc. No control over the element, period. • The rest of the pack members will be given away in the event through Raffles, Games, etc. • By winning the contest, you are allowed some freedom on what kind of helixes I decide to offer up in the event. For example, if you'd prefer it if there were only one Beta, then I'll only release one Beta in the event. You may also help judge any Roleplay contests held for the other members. Everything else is up to me. • I'm only allowed to give out a maximum of thirteen pets for this section of the event (twelve, if you take out your Alpha) so make sure to keep that in mind! • I've also recently decided that the winner does not necessarily have to take an Alpha, although it is highly suggested. If the winner doesn't take the Alpha(s), a Roleplay contest will be held for it/them until someone acceptable wins. • While I'm glad there's interest in new territories, I highly doubt they're available, as the owner is too busy to take the time to work on them. It's suggested that you remain with the first five territories: Neutral, North, South, East, and West. • All ranks except these are available: God/desses, Tumba Rochs, Sprites/Familiars, and Seers. • [NEW] Unfortunately, it seems that for now, the only active god/desses are Vernon (Time) and Verity (Truth) in the Neutral Territory, seeing as the other staff are having computer problems, RL problems, or just don't pop by anymore. :c It won't affect your entry if an unactive god/dess is involved. Just don't expect the god/dess you choose (excluding Vernon and Verity) to pop by anytime soon. >>;

Elementals Pack Concept Contest Entry
Username: Satu Markula
The Glyndwr Pack
Alpha Information Female Alpha - Satu's Name: Nerida Name Meaning: 'Water Lily' Element: Water Temperment: Often pretending to be in her own world, Nerida is actually fairly sharp; she simply knows that people will let down their guards further if she acts dreamy and confused, not thinking she is a threat. When the situation requires it of her however, she shakes off the cloudy haze in a hurry, and tends to be abrupt and brusque, even overly harsh on occasion. It is almost as if she has two personalities that she shows to the world depending on the situation; this can cause a bit of discomfort in the pack, since a) they have a leader who isn't always completely lucid and b) they never know which side they're going to get.
Male Alpha - Given away via RP Contest Element Lightning
Role in the Pack: Nerida's mate, the male Alpha is often called upon to do more than his fair share of the work, since his partner is so often lost in her self-inflicted fog.
Beta Information
Female Beta Element: Fire
Male Beta Element: Ice
Role in the Pack: In the Elemental Pack, the Alphas often allow their Betas to lead hunts, in order to keep their skills sharp. They also encourage them to speak out if they feel things are not going well. This has, unfortunately, created an imbalance of power, and a blurring of the lines between Beta and Alpha. If the Alphas are not careful, they could easily face a fight for the leadership of the pack.
Gamma Information
Female Gammas Number: Two Elements: Air, sound
Male Gammas Number: Two Elements: Dark, earth
Role in the Pack: The Gammas of the pack are treated well, but unlike with the Betas, questioning of the Alphas and the way things run is not tolerated. It is one of the quickest ways to bring out the snappish side of Nerida, and will often result in food shares being reduced for a few days if it does happen - which isn't often. Gammas are expected to do their duty well and if not silently then quietly, and though the Alphas are friendly with them, it doesn't go far if they are pushed.
Adolescent Information
Male Adolescent Element: Wood
Role in the Pack: While all young in the elemental pack are treated as precious, adolescents are considered especially so. They are at an age where they can truly begin to learn the ways of the pack, and they are also unlikely to die. Nerida herself often takes an interest in them, taking the time to learn their names and personalities, and give them a few small hunting tips.
Omega Information
Female Omega Element: Light
Role in the Pack: The Omega has a strange, tenuous position in the pack. While she doesn't hold the rank the Beta's do, the Alpha's regard her almost as a mother figure, and so will often listen to her advice - so long as she doesn't overstep her boundaries. If she does, they will turn on her with a snarl and a snap. She is fed well, and given the care of the pups.
Territory: West. God: Menes, God of Death
Info: The Glyndwr pack roams the West, very seldom coming into contact with humans. They eventually chose to settle in the west because the landscape can be so barren, and it is hard for anything to sneak up on them, or to hide; everything is forced out into the open. The Pack's favorite prey is the Antelope, but they will settle for other forms of food when they must. As they worship the God of Death, they regularly offer fresh kills to him, and whenever they pray or ask him for anything, they do the same. Their 'base' is centered around a small water hole that has so far never run dry, centered in a land dip that they can easily protect, making it safe for their pups.
Pack History
The Pack has it's first roots in Nerida and her mate's meeting. Both freaks in their own right who had been cast from their Packs on reaching adolescence, they found each other and forged a strong relationship; despite their fights and his frustration with her, they are deeply in love. They began to travel the world, looking for a place that they could call their home. As they did, they met others like them, others who had been turned out because of their appearances, or because of things they couldn't control. (Note: This would be if they have, using your example, fire running up their leg. I'm taking that as real fire, that would burn anything it touched except for the Helix who bore it. Things like that.) Nerida and her other half began to realize that these others needed a home as well... so they took them in, accepted them as family. They became Alphas because it was them who brought everyone together, and brought them to the plains. Since then, life has been good for everyone, though the relations with the Betas have become more and more strained as time goes by. The Pack feels it, and it makes everyone uneasy.
Plans for the Pack
My main goal for the Pack at first is to have the relationships between the Betas and the Alphas become strained to the breaking point. Every Helix in the Pack would have to choose a side, and there would be a fight of some kind - I don't intend for the pack to split, however. Instead, the 'loser' - which will likely be the Beta who ends up challenging the Alpha's, but I'll have to talk to the player about it - staying in the pack, disgraced. It will also force the Alphas to change how things are run.
I'd like it to be a long term Pack, and I do have other possible mini-plots in my head. Such things as a strange disease among the pack if people are amenable to having their Helix's sicken, prey dying off for an inexplicable reason, forcing the Pack to consider moving or face the possibility of some starving, and a few other things that I'd like to keep to myself. Ideally, all this would run concurrently with my main idea, so it would help with the straining of the relationships, or help with the reordering of the Pack after the fight.

Elementals Pack Concept Contest Entry
Username: Bluedemonwolf
Pack Name: The Fundamentals of Nature Pack Territory: North Alpha Name: Ishild (means ice battle) Gender: female Element: Ice Brief Personality: Ishild is quite kind despite being an ice element wolf. She doesn't often come off as a kind helix right off the bat due to her constant stern look. She seems cold and frosty due to this (that and her appearance) but she only uses that look because she expects others to listen to her and to not act like complete idiots. However she is willing to listen and help anyone who asks for it and will always help someone in trouble. She doesn't speak much and is a very good listener. Mate Info: Her mate will be a fire element (gotta love the classic fire and ice combo). I'd like to give him out in a rp contest.
Other Members and Elements: 2 Betas (Earth and Wood; light and dark) they're siblings and come from the far north. They don't care much for others coming into their land but now that they're part of a pack they're getting used to it. They once had a home but were driven away by another pack. They bicker with each other constantly. Role- They're in charge of the pack when the alphas aren't around and will occasionally lead a hunt.
Gamma (water, lightning) also from the north joined the pack mainly out of a life debt. Ishild save his/her life. Role- He/she doesn't have much of a role in the pack currently other than scouting the land they're in currently.
2 Omegas (light and dark; earth and wood) both come from the west and have no relation with each other. Role- They're the lowest rank in the pack but they are treated nicely and will be in charge of any pups and take turns teaching the adolescents.
Adolescent (air) was found by Ishild and her mate when he was a pup and was raised as their child. Role- They are one of the most treasured members along with pups (when they show up). They begin learning about how things run in the pack and how to hunt.
Pup (sound, void, heaven/space/aether) Is the newest addition found by Ishild while the other group was away searching for members. She/he joined after being abandoned by her/his family and previous pack due to how she/he looks. Role- No role other to have fun and learn the very basics of pack life, i.e. obey alphas, stay near the adults.
History: Ishild was born in the north but on a journey to the south she met her mate, the fire alpha. They ended up in a love-hate relationship but she broke it off when she returned home. However the fire male followed her not wanting to give her up. They ended up becoming mates after a small fight over him following her. They decided to form a pack after they found a pup who, like them, was an elemental. This pup was an air elemental and they raised it like their own child. It was then they decided that the pup needed a real home and decided to make a home by forming a pack. From there they traveled further north. They were following rumors of siblings that were also elementals. They found the siblings way way up north. The siblings were the earth and wood pair and they were quite leery of the three travelers. Ishild and her mate tried to talk the siblings into coming with them and joining them, promising the positions of Beta to them. However the siblings refused and sent the alphas and the pup away. Ishild left feeling disappointed. Chasing another rumor they found their gamma. The gamma, like the beta siblings, refused them. However after having his/her's life saved they decided to join. (The gamma's life was saved by Ishild when he/she fell into a frozen lake when trying to hunt a rabbit. Ishild dove in after and fished the gamma out). Now what they didn't know was that the siblings were having some trouble with another pack. The other pack was trying to drive away the siblings from their home. Word got out about this and Ishild's mate went ahead to help the siblings while Ishild took care of the gamma. Once the gamma was better from his/her winter swim they followed after the fire alpha. They arrived in time to help the siblings and the fire alpha. The other pack was in the middle of attacking them when Ishild and the other two members showed up. They did their best to drive them off but in the end were driven away. The siblings were homeless and somewhat grateful for the help so they decided to join Ishild's pack. The only members left to find is an Omega. The Fundamentals of Nature was having a hard time finding any new rumors so they decided on splitting up. One group would stay here in the North while the other group would go search the other territories. Ishild decided to stay with the now adolescent and gamma. Her mate left with the Beta siblings. They searched the East, South, and Neutral territories without success. They entered the West more towards the southwest. It was here that they heard a rumor of a omega that was quite strange, it was said to resemble the element of light. They went to the place in the rumur where the omega would be and met another elemental. They persuaded the omega to join them and when the omega agreed he/she also told the of another omega who was further north and was an elemental. They traveled further north and found some rumors of a dark elemental omega. They found her/him and the light omega persuaded her/him to join. It took quite awhile before she/he agreed. Once she/he joined they headed back to the north and met up with the rest of the pack. When the other group joined up with Ishild and the other two members they discovered that there was a new pup. The adolescent had found the pup while helping the gamma scout the area. The pup had been abandoned by her/his previous family and pack. When Ishild saw the pup she decided to take care of the poor thing and gave her/him a home. The pup now considers them her/his family. Since then they have been searching for a place to call home.
Pack Life: They tend to move around quite a lot since they have no defined pack territory. They are quite fond of an area near another pack (don't know which pack yet) and are considering living near there. It is an open area that is a bit rocky and has a few bushes and a tree or two. There is a small stream nearby where they can get water and even catch a few unlucky rabbits. On very very very rare occasions will one of the alphas and a select few go on a major hunt in search of a moose or caribou (these hunts will most likely occur either near a full moon or around the founding festival). They usually stick to small game for hunting but they hold a larger hunt each month (the moon festival hunt) and a couple of smaller hunts where they track deer or elk. Every month when there is a full moon they hold a small festival in honor of it. It lasts all night long and everyone but pups are invited, even helixes from other packs. They party for most of the time and eat the festival elk that they had hunted earlier that day. The only other festival they hold is the Founding Pack Festival. This is held on the day the pack was fully formed (date to be decided when event ends). This is a pack only festival in which they play and have fun for the day. At night they go for a hunt and then feast on what they catch. There is no set god/goddess they worship but they honor all of them. They tend to favor the goddess of the moon (when she shows up in the shop)
Plans: I would like this pack to grow even more but not too much. They are in the North after all and everything is scarce up there. I would prefer new members to be somehow tied to the elements (like having fire markings, snow markings, etc). Pack members can be customed in. Another thing I'd like to see happen is them coming to have a territory war with another pack and make enemies with said pack. I would also like for them to get an ally pack for the territory war. I'm also planning on holding a small festival each month around the full moon. It would help with relationships outside of the pack and help make friends/allies and even enemies. I would also like for the alphas and perhaps other members of the pack to meet the goddess of the moon (if and when she shows up). This would lead them to worshiping her as their goddess although they would still honor the others but not as much as her.

Username: Velveteen Angel
Pack Name:Angry Women UniteThe Raining Moon Pack
//Alpha Details//
Name: Kahi Meaning: Hawaiian /form of Kakahi/ means unique, outstanding and solitary Gender: Female Element: Air Mate: No mate. Personality: Kahi is very dominate and dislikes other people questioning her control, which is why she rarely interacts with other dominate helixes, preferring to be around more submissives . Despite her dislike of dominance, she hates seeing submissive females and tends to try and encourage dominance in females, just not too much. Kahi is very contradictory in her believes, leaving her confused and often isolated from others. While her views towards dominant males are harsh, she has nothing against males in generally, especially those who know their place in a pack, which is, in her mind, in positions of less or, if they absolutely must, equal power with females.
//Member Details//
The pack accepts all ranks but there are no high-ranking male helixes. Male pups, adolescents, omegas and some male gammas are accepted, however, male Beta's and Alpha's are shunned from the pack and are not allowed contact with the females of the pack.
Beta: Element Fire ( female) // Strong female. One of the originals who left Kahi's pack with her when she first became Alpha. Doesn't necessarily always agree with Kahi's leadership but still will follow her. Is respected as much as the Alpha but is always only second-in-command. Takes over when Alpha is busy hunting with the Gammas and/or adolescents.
Gammas: Elements Water, Earth (2 females, 1 male) // One of the females came from the original pack. Other female and male are newcomers (relationship between the pair is undecided and would be up to owners. i.e. Mates, siblings, ect. ).
Omega/s: Elements: earth, water, fire (1 male) // He was brought into the pack by one of the female Gammas, Kahi tolerates him because he will not challenge her. Often tends to the adolescents or pups.
Adolescents: Elements light, dark, fire (2 female, 1 male) // They adolescents are the results of past pup-snatching and now spend the majority of their time learning from the Beta/Alpha so that they may become dominant, although not all of their personalities are very dominant.
Pups: Elements fire, air, dark (3 females) // All three pups were taken from their families along the way and now are under the guidance of the Omega and Kahi.
//Pack Details//
Territory: The South. One of the broken temples deep within the jungle is their main base. The temple is decaying, little more then a ruin, but it supplies ample protection from the elements and give them wide range surrounding the temple for their hunting territories. The temple is located in one of the elevated areas of the southern area, near to a waterfall. Statues litter the temple, making it obvious that it had been previously used as a shrine for a human water goddess, though these are mostly just used as play toys for the pups.
Beliefs: The pack has little to no spiritual connections to any specific god or goddess. They have little to no ceremonies beyond small ceremonies for important events, such as the blessing of a newborn pup or acceptance ceremonies of new members which both involve giving thanks to all gods for guiding them to the pack. Kahi leads these ceremonies and it is required that the pack join in, if only to bless the newcomers.
History: Kahi was born into a small pack to an Alpha father and an omega mother. The pack had two male beta's as well, as the female beta had passed away young, her eldest son rising in rank to take her place. The highest ranking female was a gamma, the mate of one of the Beta's. As Kahi grew, she became more resentful towards her father who she saw as a bully, as his dominance over their pack often seemed harsh, especially to Kahi's mother who lived only to be submissive. Seeing her father's actions as cruel, Kahi often tried to convince her mother that they could leave together and that her mother would learn to be more dominant if she was away from her tyrant mate. Her mother always refused and Kahi became angry. Even as an adolescent, Kahi challenged her father in every decisions of the pack, rallying the other female adolescents together so they could protest something which was, in all honesty, something that was usually best for the pack. Unfortunately, Kahi never saw it that way. When she finally grew to an adult, her Alpha status was already obvious. Instead of taking over her father's pack, which had already become scattered and broken because of the unrest within, Kahi took two of the female adolescence and the four female pups, leaving only her father, mother and a few older helixes left in the pack she grew up in. Kahi and the few female helixes she claimed as her pack drifted from pack to pack, taking with them other female helixes which Kahi dubbed worthy of her pack. These were often young adolescents or pups who did not know better then to leave their packs and families. Packs in the area, or even family groups, grew wise to Kahi and warned their pups away from her. This didn't stop them still going with her but it was all the parents could do. There were few male youths who Kahi took with her as well, but these were never dominant males as Kahi believed that dominant males would suppress 'her females' into submissives only. Not all of Kahi's females agreed with her about dominant males but there were none so open about defying her. Sneaking around behind her back was easy, as Kahi was often in charge of hunting and away for long periods of time.
Future Plans: Personally, I would really love to see a dominant male Alpha challenge Kahi and her leadership, or to see a clash with a more male-oriented or a mixed gender pack. Smaller plot points like some of her females falling for dominant males or having male pups which are more dominant, which may cause problems because Kahi would insist that they leave the pack (the male pups) or become more submissive in nature. I would like to see the pack grow in size but not too many as Kahi will only accept strong helixes. Kahi was also well known for 'pup snatching' from families who hadn't taught their females what she believes is the 'right way' to behave. Kahi will continue to try and remove female pups from 'unfit' families, which may lead to some pretty angry mama and papa helixes.

Element: Water Gender: Female Mate: Air
AdolescentsElement: Metal Gender: Male Mate: N/A
Element: Thunder Gender: Male Mate: N/A
Element: Lightning Gender: Female Mate: N/APups Element: Gender: Mate:
Reasons for their ranking... The reason Life and Death are alpha's are because they are the most important elements of the world. With out them both in existence, then the world would not function. They're mates, Light and Dark are also important. They represent their mates, as an couple should. "With out darkness, light may not exist." - Anonymous. As their alpha's supporters, they rank as betas. Together, these important beings create the four major elements: Fire, Water, Earth, and Air. To ensure that life remains in balance with these elements, they are paired in a certain way. Fire, who's parents are both Death and Dark needs someone to keep him from falling in the evil so, Earth, the daughter of Life and Light keeps Fire in safety of himself. The same for Water and Air. Water's parents are Death and Light, while her mate, Air's are Life and Dark. Since Water and Air are some what balanced out already, they rank as omegas, leaving Fire and Earth as the gammas.
The adols are created by their parent's mixing elements. When fire and earth mix, the heat and material of it creates Metal. When air and water mix, it creates a storm where Thunder and Lightning are placed.
Their history.... The pack started when Life and Death found each other. As pups, they developed a twin-like bond. Genetically, they are unrelated but their closeness wouldn't appear so with out knowing them personally. They were adults when they met Light and Dark. Light's family had adopted Dark as their child, so again, Light and Dark are not related either. Light and Dark left their home once they reached adulthood. They didn't want to be separated so sticking together, they traveled. One evening, just after leaving the east, they ran into an injured male. Life. He'd hurt his leg some how, and his 'brother,' they assumed, became defensive of him. Snarling and growling at the females. Dark, being the more temperamental of the two girls growled and snapped in return. It was Life and Light that persuaded them to calm themselves.
After settling down, they all began talking and sharing stories. Dark and Death seemed to become more comfortable with each others presence, well enough. By morning they had decided to stick together. They remained in the same territory, Neutral, while Life's leg healed. They all had enough of traveling for now.
After so long, it was apparent there were crushes developing. The females would discuss it while the males were away, as would the males talk about their feelings for the females. Life has crushes for both Light and Dark. Light for her look on the world, and Dark's opposing personality from his own drawn Life to her as well. The same for Death. The males, one night, decided to confront the females about this. They had originally decided that if the females wanted them for mates, then they would choose who they wanted to be with the most.
The females were surprised that the males approached them on the matter. It was just so handy that earlier that day, they (being the females.) discussed who each wanted which one the most. Their problem: They couldn't pick. They had agreed that neither of them would pair with either of the males because they didn't want to break their friendship. But... not that it was out in the open that the males had feelings for them both, there was another option. Everyone just share! Death and Dark were the more jealous ones out of the four helixes but after talking about it, they didn't see a problem as long each one received enough of attention to fulfill their needs. It was decided with one exception between Death and Life: No male on male action. The females were disappointed, but agreed. (-snicker-)
Soon enough, there were little ones on the way. Light and Dark were both pregnant with non-fraternal twins. Each pup was parented by a different father but it wasn't apparent as the children looked almost nothing like any of the parents. Life, Death, Dark, and Light were are concerned but soon laid it to rest as they loved the pups the same as they would if they were identical to any of the adults.
As the kids grew, it was apparent that they were pairing off. Fire found interest in Earth because she kept him down to earth (LOL) and Earth found love in Fire because he set a torch to her heart (DOUBLE LOL). (-out of silly puns-) Water and Air connected quickly enough. Once the pairs reached their adult hood, it wasn't to long before they began adding to their family. Fire and Earth had one child, a boy, Metal. Water and Air had twins, Thunder (male) and Lightning (female).
The pack made home in the neutral territory, and remain there.
Their Plots.... I plot that the children will become gamma's along with Fire and Earth.
I choose not to plot the adols mates but if I were to plot them, the I wouldn't give Lightning one. She is the independent girl and full of flair in my mind. Thunder and Metal seem more suitable for companionship.
Obviously, the adol's may not pair off because of their blood ties, so the pack will eventually have to pull in new blood if the pack is to continue to grow. Or Death, Life, Light, and Dark can just keep doin' it. |D
Additional Info... I haven't picked names, personalities, or type of events to give out the helixes, obviously. The reason is because I haven't chosen who I would want to claim if I win the contest and I would rather just discuss what you think would be best in how to give the pets out. o3o;
Thank you~! <3 >u< Hope you enjoy. |D
Orange means I've edited it in.

Elementals Pack Concept Contest Entry
Username: CrimsonCutie666
Alpha's Evinal/Ice/Male Light/Female *given away via Rp contest*
Beta's Dark/Male Lightning/Female
Gamma's Water/Male Heat/Female
Omega's Air/Female Spirit/Female
Adolescents Earth/Female
Pups Fire/Male Sound/Male
History: Abandoned, hurt, and in need of a home, that's how Evinal started his life in the cold North. As he grew, Evinal came to accept the cruel punishment that Destiny had handed him and started growing into a fine strong and commanding Alpha who understood life's flow.
Deciding to travel to become well rounded Evinal met his mate Hiana, a most beautiful helix, who had been attacked, and left to die out in the harsh Southern sun. Staying to help heal her and make her well the two fell in love and between them decided they wished to give other helixes, like themselves, a home, should they need one. Setting out to travel the territories they ran into many helixes who had no place to call home, and took them in.
After many members had joined Evinal held a pack meeting to set down the rules all pack members must follow to make the pack successful. If a member should go against the rules, he stated, they would be taken to the territory of their choice and left there to fend for themselves.
The rules: -Respect for all ranks, -Omegas jobs are to tend to the young and the hurt -Follow the feeding order (Offering to the God/Goddess of that territory, Pups, Injured, Elders, Adolescents, Alphas, Betas, Gammas, Omegas) -What the Alphas say, goes -We travel with the seasons (Winter in North, Spring in East, Summer in South, Fall in West, Neutral during the equinoxes) -Only the helix with the element closest resembling that territory may have pups there Ice, Water-North Air, Lightning, Spirit-East Light, Heat, Fire-South Sound, Dark, Earth-west -Mates can be of any rank or sex to one another -All helixes are welcome to the pack
Pack Life: Being a member of the Harsh Elements has it's draw backs. They travel to the territory with the harshest weather for each season, each member can't have pups whenever they wish, part of each meal is wasted on a God or Goddess instead of going into the bellies of the pack, but life is good. Every member is treated with respect, even the lowly omegas. The Gods and Goddesses look down favorably on the pack for the honor bestowed upon them. Since the pack doesn't live in one particular territory the members can choose to live whichever territory they wish. No matter the helix, they are welcomed into the pack, even if its only for the time being. Finally the members can mate with the helix of their choosing, be that helix an omega, alpha, male or female. Peace, love, healing and acceptance run this pack, along with the seasons and the needs of the pups.
During each equinox the pack travels to the center of the territories, the Neutral territory, and holds a gathering for all helixes to attend. Each helix adorns him or herself with the nature surrounding them and call on the Gods to come celebrate the circle of life and death with them. This is the time when most helixes of the pack choose their mate and together they declare their love before all to see by howling to the sky.
Life is well when bellies are full and the Great Goddess shines her light on you but something lurks within the packs very core that may destroy all that keeps them together.
Plans: For the Harsh Elements I'm hoping for some inner turmoil. What I'm thinking of is that Evinal, a moral and just leader, is seduced and poisoned by a member of the pack. He cheats on his mate, who I'm hoping will either have had or is having his pups, with this seductress and his mate catches him in the act.
With the poison effecting his mind he becomes a ruthless tyrant bossing around the helixes in his pack, abusing his mate and children and maybe even using the pups for his own entertainment (This is up for discussion) until the pack comes to a breaking point. During all this members will continue joining and take sides, most who are on Evinals side will be poisoned by the seductress as well, until two different packs are formed.
These two packs will become rivals and will battle each other until only one is standing. I've yet to decide how the ending of this rivalry will come about but that will come in time.
Additional Notes: The names and genders I use in my post and for information can be changed by the owner or Ryuu as they see fit. Also if there are too many in the pack and Ryuu doesn't want to make that many then please cut down on whatever you wish.
Edits will be in dark blue for easy reading.

Elementals Pack Concept Contest EntryUsername:Deadly Nonchalance
Pack Name: Soshi Pondera (first word japanese for element. second word Latin for balance) Pack Territory: Eastern
Alphas Name: Airt (Celtic name for Air) Gender: Female Element: Air Personality: Always thinking ahead and planning for the pack. She would go to the edge of the world and back for them. She knows a lot about the world around her but is always Eager to learn more or share her knowledge.
Gender: Male Element: Earth *RP Event*
Betas Gender: Female Element: Fire Mate: Water
Gender: Male Element: Water/Ice
Gammas Gender: Male Element: Dark Mate: Light
Gender: Female Element: Light
Omega Gender: Female Element: Spirit
Adolescents Gender:Female Element:Sound
Gender: Male Element: Silence
Pups Gender: Female Element:Lightning
Gender: Male Element:Thunder
History Airt had been challenged in her last pack by another alpha male wandering around the territories. She didn't feel very connected to that pack anyway so when the challenge came she gladly gave up leadership to the male because she knew that he would be a better leader and the pack would respect him.
She met her opposite (the alpha male) a couple days later. She wasn't that nice to him for a couple of weeks because he was her polar opposite but from him she learned more about the world around her than she had ever learned anywhere else. She started to warm up to him and he suggested they create their own pack of Helixes like them. Outcasts with the elements on their fur and in their souls. They traveled around the eastern territory until they found the perfect spot for their pack. They quickly marked the territory and one at a time went out and found their pack members. Fire and Light to the south. Ice/Water, Dark, and Silence to the North. Spirit and Sound in Neutral. Then finally the Thunder and Lightning twins to the West. They pulled together their misfit group to the territory they had set aside. The pack got along instantly almost like it was their fate.
They hunt as one. Help train the pups together, even though the job is left mainly to the omega. The stories come from Airt because she is very knowledgeable and has many tales to share.
Pack Rules: ~ Always leave an offering for Helki The goddess of Light ~ Feed the pack before yourself ~ Take care of the Injured and pups Always ~ Never disobey the Alphas ~ Never miss the Full Moon Ritual for any reason except death
Daily/Monthly Life -Daily there is a morning and a night hunt. In case the morning hunt turned up nothing. If the Morning hunt was fruitful then the night hunt may be suspended for howling thanks to the goddess. -Monthly there is a Full Moon Ritual in which every capable Helix should bring something to offer the god/goddess of their territory. -Daily the pups are told a story from Airt of one of her adventures before their pack.
Plans/ Plots and future Thoughts: I would like more elementally tied Helixes to join the merry little pack. Maybe a clash from a neighboring pack that doesn't like the way Airt leads the pack or thinks she's intruding/encroaching on their territory. Maybe even a mutiny where the mates turn against one another and the pack starts fighting and breaking apart from the inside.
Additional Information: by "the elements on their fur and in their souls" I mean that they look like their element and their personality matches that of the element.
