 Yuuko was curled up in her favorite hiding spot in the thicker bushes, a place no giant male would ever be able to fit into. Let alone SEE. They were, after all, very stupid and dumb and unlikely to look down. Well, not the males that had come in and taken over. They seemed to have their noses too high or pointed at one of the grown-up females. The cub couldn't help but growl. Stupid males. Expected her to keep her head down, to keep silent...
She'd keep her head down, alright. But she'd keep her eyes open. And she'd wait. Wait for the perfect times to play little tricks. To gnaw on a tail or two. And Yuuko would wait for Hippolyta. Someday, the (new)Queen would return, and the males and their hyenas and arrogant traitor females would know what it meant to mess with the Antianeira.

 Ceres found herself looking over her shoulder, these days, in their pridelands. It wasn't a feeling she was comfortable about, either. The girl flicked an ear in aggravation, certain that nobody was watching, and sought out a peaceful place... which wasn't easy. She no longer felt the den was safe, and she'd had to seek refuge in random nooks and crannies in the pride's lands. She padded along, peeking behind herself often, in search of such a spot... Until she heard a distant growl. It sounded young, and female.
"Hello?" she asked, perked up and scanning about. Her ears folded flat, then, expecting an ambush from some filthy guy. "Heeeeello?" she asked again, turning in small circles, claws unsheathing just a little bit. She couldn't have been but a few yards from Yuuko's bush.

Yuuko tensed as a voice reached her ears. Had they found her?! No...no...Her eyes narrowed again. That voice was female, and young. No way was it one of those traitor-girls. She poked her head out of the bushes, eyes still narrowed and claws unsheathed...just in case. And then she blinked when she saw the other youngster. A very bright red girl. Which could mean only one thing...one of Kiuma's daughters!
Yuuko's expression immediately went to one of glee. "Hey! Lookin' for somplace to hide? Got plenty of room in here!"

The crimson lioness turned to the source of the sound, ears folding upward again. She squinted and then opened her eyes wide as she immediately recognized the face from her time with her peers. "Yeah," she whispered, voice intense. She made one last scan, making sure she wouldn't betray the spot before quickly scuttling in with a relieved sigh.
"This is pretty nice!" she said, turning her dark eyes to the "ceiling" of the hideout. Little rays of light made their way through, but it seemed she was concealed from the outside. For the first time since the takeover, a little smile formed on her muzzle, content with the companionship. She had desperately wanted to be able to speak her mind freely to someone- anyone! And now that she was alone with a pride member, she was certain she'd be able to at least whisper her mind.

The red-brown eyed cub nodded. "It is~ I discovered it before the stupid boys came in. And they haven't found it yet." She grinned. They would never find it. And if they somehow did, Yuuko would just find another place to be free. "Oooooo....when Hippolyta comes home, those males will pay..." They'd pay for every wrong they'd committed against the sisters. Especially if she was big. They were just lucky they hadn't touched her mother...yet.
She hoped they never would.

"Good spot," she said, giving the place one last look around before turning her attention to the cub. She'd remember the exact location of this little spot for quite a while, she had a feeling.
Hippy... She didn't... truly know how to feel on that one. She'd run off. She may be her sister, but... Kiuma was dead, and Hippy was gone. The combination had left a strong sinking feeling in the red lioness's stomach. Hopelessness. Would she really come back? She believed it, but there was the slightest hint of doubt in the lioness. The nagging feeling of that stupid "What if..." question.
"Those males will pay with or without her, I'll make sure of it myself." Ceres said coldly, facial expression changing to an enraged grimace. Her eyes looked into the wall of the bush, as though she could glare down some male that could've been nearby, but nobody was there. Thankfully. "Their presence in these lands is enough to condemn them to death." She said, lightening up a little bit. "I dunno about you, but once I'm big enough, I'm not putting up with anymore of this crap," she said with a nod.

Yuuko nodded. "Mmhmm. I kinda wanna wait until 'Lypso is bigger though. At least." She worried for the little fae cub's safety. "She's so small...and it would be so easy for one of the males to snatch her while we weren't looking. I don't want to put her in that kind of danger." Not when she was the last link to the 'royal' line. Sure, they had Ceres and her sisters...but it was Hippolyta that had been Heir, and now 'Lypso. Though few really knew it. Or remembered that.
"Why'd they choose our home?" It was more a musing, but it had been said aloud.

Ceres scowled at that musing... Why had they? Why did they need to come and rip everything apart here? Her mother was gone, and the pridemembers were being forced into hiding in bushes to speak their minds. She pondered for a moment why they'd selected her home, brows furrowed. "I'm not sure," she grumbled, then spoke up louder. "I'm not sure, but they will pay for what they've done. You and I'll make sure of that, right?" She asked, turning to the black cub beside her with a mischievous glimmer in her dark eyes. Whether it was inconveniencing them or taking them on when she was older, she would make their lives more difficult, and she could only hope that she wouldn't be alone in taking on that task.

"Yeah..." Yuuko grinned back, mischief dancing in her brown eyes. "We'll make sure they don't have an easy time. And when we're big enough, and 'Lypso is big enough..." She growled. "They'll wish they'd NEVER set their sights on OUR home."

"That's right!" Ceres said with the smallest hint of a frown. "We'll show them- all of them! And they'll really regret making their way into our lands! You and me, we should plan something out to trip them up or something," Ceres said, shifting her emotional gears from anger to mischief. "You know, something small enough that we don't get the crap beat out of us, but annoying enough to really bug one of them..." She said, pondering what they could do and not get caught. She didn't want to wait around until she had grown all the way up! She wanted to make their lives terrible right now! And she was certain she could, too, but probably not alone. But with a friend, Ceres was certain that they could pull something off and both of them could get off scot-free!

The younger cub nodded. "Yeah..." She was silent as she thought of what they could do. Hmmm...oh! Yuuko perked up. "Maybe we could put a buncha rocks on a path they normally use? Nice big ones, so they have to slow down and go through 'em carefully...or they'll trip and hurt themselves!"

"That sounds great!" Ceres said excitedly, already thinking about how to pull it off, exactly, and where to plant them. And when. And how to make sure nobody was around to see who shouldn't have been.
"Let's go find the right path first," she said, breaking the idea down into phases. First was to find the place. With the size of the territory around here, that could take days... But they'd find the right place for sure!

Ceres had a point. Yuuko's ears went back as her face screwed into a thoughtful look. They needed just the right path..."Oh! Maybe one near to the dens? That way they embarrass themselves if they trip? But one that's not always watched!" That way they'd have some time to place the rocks."
