(( This RP is a Raid it does not count as a joining RP (ICly) since females can (and will) be able to escape from the males. The joining RP will be after when the females are all sorted out and the rules are explained to them then they count as being 'in' the Pride (ICly). (The sorting of females etc will be a group Post Raid RP in the pride subforum) Each raid will have a little plot guideline so everyone knows what should roughly be going on and the RP doesn't go off on a random tangent. Each raid will also have a post order to avoid confusion, when you post for the first time please include OOCly wether your okay with being skipped over or not this is incase someone is on hiatus or too busy to respond so we can keep the RP moving we would just skip their character and assume their following or something. Plot Guideline: - The males meet/greet & have been traveling for days unknowingly towards the Pridelands. - On the way males can join. - They arrive at the outskirts of the Pridelands and see a group of females departing together, the capture begins. - The males quickly head home with their captures. - On the way rogue females are spotted and captured. - One (maybe more?) of the females slowly comes too and tries to escape/manages an escape. - Males are welcomed to join the pride with females they have captured. - They arrive back in UW lands. Post Order: Roxy_roxanna2 (Aali) Tahja Estes (Taj & Lela) ~Masamune~ (Mwenyezi) Split Personality (Ukoo) [Eskimo] (Tariq) Iris_virus (Neema, Miki, & Vika) Lightning Shadow X (Zira & Kianga) Syrius Lionwing (Kwea) ~Will be filled in as people post. (Kaori is out of town and so Achal is assumed to be present but may not be posting)))

Aali glanced around warily, they were far from the prides lands and this was his first time leading a raid. He had raided with his father of course when he was younger he had set out on his own to capture a female. This was different though, he led all the males in the pride out, save for his half brother Faiz. They all needed females to replenish the pride, to make up for those males who had left and never returned. His eyes scanned over the area and he moved onward the grass lush and plentiful in this area.
They had avoided the borders of most prides there was no need to start a skirmish or a war unless there were plenty of females to be gained. Still the days passed, at night the males boasted or slept silently conserving their strength. If the journey out was proving this long they would have quite a trip back especially if they carried the bounty they desired.
Crystal blue eyes scanned ahead and around while he looked at the other males on occasion for opinions on direction. Aali was no tyrant, and with only one of his two viziers currently traveling with them he would make no move without consultation. The raid was about brotherhood and with any luck they would return triumphant and more closely bonded then ever.

((Just ignore if I'm posting too early for soon-to-be captives. ^ ^; *hopes she's got this right*))

She and Lela had set out with the intention of seeing a bit of the lands around the Pridelands. They were the furthest from the pride's territory, given that the had a few days head start on the hunting party, and Lela had yet to be able to let the absence of her cousin go.

"I just wish Kairi would have come with us. Think about all she's going to miss out on! I mean, it just doesn't feel right to be here without her."
"That's because you two did grow up together," Tetesi pointed out softly as they strolled on, looking for water or food, whichever came first. "Lela... She just wasn't ready yet. You know that has to be a decision she makes for herself."
Unfortunately, though it was the truth Lela needed to hear, it wasn't what she'd wanted to hear just then. The dark female just sighed quietly to herself and paused, glancing at Taja then.
"I know... I'm going to see if I can't track down that water we smelled earlier a bit. The scent is getting a little stronger. Wait here."
A nod from the purple lioness sent Lela on her way. Between the two Lela was the one who had training from her mother in how to fight, while Taja really didn't know much about violence beyond how to hunt. She was more likely to be a burden in a fight. An easy target.

Mwenyezi hung at the very back of the group, his bright yellow eyes scanning over each one of them in turn. Although he was of an average size for an adult male lion, pretty much all of the other males were more bulky and muscular than him. It didn't bother him though, as brains could triumph over brawn anyday if his was the brain that was involved. He smirked as he considered this, before coming to a stop when the other males did.
"These lands are quite beautiful." He said with a smile as he looked around. Much more welcoming than the lands of his new pride. He wasn't complaining though. "I can only imagine what beautiful females we will find in a land such as this."

((I suppose I don't mind being skipped as long as the RP makes sense without Tariq's in-order posts. lol)) Raids were terribly exciting in Tariq'ra'd's opinion. He enjoyed the long travels and that wary, tense feeling. It felt...good. And it also gave him a chance to look for a certain someone...But all personal reasons aside, raids were very important to the pride. Not only that, but they were important for that time. There were very few females in harems currently. That wasn't a good thing. They needed more in order to flourish. The pride needed females.
HE needed females.
Tail stiff and curled at his heels, the black lion seemed to skulk across the grass, pink eyes scanning the area constantly while a hint of an excited grin stuck to his face. He was near constantly passing glances at the Sultan, Aali, seeming to communicate silently with the male, opinions and ideas passing back and forth wordlessly.
Ears suddenly swiveling at the sound of Mwenyezi's words, Tariq turned his head to look at him while he walked, a fanged grin stretching across his face.
"You know what I can imagine? All the 'beautiful females' running away at the sound of an unfamiliar voice."

((Iris can be skipped if she's a slow poke (a day without reply) or if nothing pertaining to her characters has happened))
-As usual Neema followed closely behind her two best friends as their paws skittered and played across the savannah. Despite their growing bodies, very little seemed to have changed within the group, their personalities still strong and true, never really having taken up much responsibility. It was much more fun to giggle and play, tell stories and explore. Neema, the eldest, was the only one whose mind had ever wandered to the responsibilities of adult hood, the kind of things she could and should be doing. But to leave her friends? Impossible.
Smiling softly, she laughed, calling out to the two before her.- "You guys are so silly, where are we going?"
-Others might question how the youngest child had become the ringleader in the group of self proclaimed BFF's that roamed the Pridelands, but a close look revealed the answer. Boisterous, bold, confident, and free thinking Miki had easily stepped above her two passive... almost subservant friends. She didn't think of it that way, no no! But she was the one with most the ideas, and the one that instigated the little bit of trouble that the group had occassionally gotten into.
So of course today it had been her idea to head towards the borders, spouting tales of grandour and excitement.- "I told ya, I told ya!"
"I totally heard from one of the scouts that there was this strange monster at the borders! Fire breathing and everything! Don't you want to go atleast take a peek?"
-Eyes turning to Vika, she winked playfully.- "I bet if we waited long enough a prince'll come along to kill it!"
-Her eyes widened in their soft way, mouth openning in a silent ohh as she was addressed by Miki. 'Killed' was such a horrible, scary word! But a prince? Oh how she'd love to see a prince... Those stories that Miki told were the best, and it'd be a lie to say the young adult hadn't been waiting half her life for one of her own to show up and sweep her away.
Smiling finally, she drew a little nearer to Miki, giving in as she always did, though today she didn't mind. It could be interesting to see maybe. And certainly Neema wouldn't let them hang out TOO long if it was too dangerous.-

(( Hope nobody minds me posting ;3; )) Zira more so lay in her usual spot, sunning on a large rock just outside the main dens before the sound of a few of the females skittering off made her blurrily open her eyes before staring off after them. What -were- they up to? Letting out a long yawn she stretched herself quietly before making her way leisurely after them, if not to socialise then she could atleast make sure they didn't get into trouble. Something about the pridelands had a penchant for, were rogues. Meanwhile, unknown to the dark lioness, her mother lay near a young acacia tree just within the borders of the pridal lands. Between sleep and waking world she could just stare at the sillouhette of pride rock only to reminded of the memories of her home, her family...her children. And all at once she vaulted such memories from her mind and mournfully placed a paw gently over her face. Maybe sleep would sooth her.

((syr can be skipped if necessary ^_^!)) Possibly the youngest male in the raid, Kwea followed almost quietly, his young body still in the throws of adolescence he showed signed of being tall and lanky even in adulthood rather than bulky as most of the other males were, his dark eyes watched the movements of his elders and he copied, trying to learn to be a good male. He had been told the stories of the pride time and time again, though he was not born within the embrace of the pride, he believed their tales and he was perfectly willing to follow and be heard.
Tossing his soon to be mane from his eyes he glances ahead and smiles, not long in the pride and already on a raid, he was convinced he would come back with the best female, one that would obey him and follow him and take his orders. The slender youth sped up slightly to stand beside Tariq and look at the lands before them.
"We'll catch them." he grins, a cocky little smirk on his slender maw, he was excited but holding in his youthful glee at being on the raid, he didn't want to be thought of as the youngster, he wanted to be seen as an adult, a true pad so he had to hold himself tall and appear poised, ready to strike, not just prance in like some silly teen and ruin the whole thing, but his excitement was hard to contain and his paws tapped the ground in a hyper manner, excited for the first strike.

It was a struggle not to roll his eyes or snort at his Vizier but Tariq was oddly correct in that they didn't want to alert anyone to their presence. Not simple females but any males that might be guarding them they were very very close to a pride and it smelled like a large one. Icy blue eyes narrowed in concentration and a black dipped ear flickered. Aali slunk forward slowly despite his large frame he managed not to lumber.
His voice lowered and he glanced at the males "There is a group ahead...I'm certain it's all females..." He hesitated briefly, what if they were females of the large pride ahead? Still the lure of such bounty made him throw caution to the wind. "We'll be quick...Tariq your fast get behind them. Mwenyezi you'll help me to put our girls to sleep. Kwea keep any of them from running off and knock out any that you see..." He refrained from giving the young male good luck or any other sentiments, there was no time for even now he heard the females approaching and any second the group of males would be seen. He waited a moment for Tariq to get a head start before standing tall his legs flexing slightly as he pre-paired attack.

It didn't take long for Lela to return, but in that time Taja was able to get in a bit of grooming. Anything to keep her mind off of how much she missed her family already, really. She thought again of Kairi as well, since the girl and her siblings had been Taja's niece and nephews, and she herself had several siblings, both parents, several aunts and uncles-- It was difficult being away from them all but for Lela's sake she'd wanted to try. Nearing adulthood at last it was difficult for the dark female to remain still and idle. She had, more or less, nomad's blood in her and she was very much interested in seeing the world, so if Taja could help with that even just as moral support, she would.
When finally Lela's dark form approached again the purple lioness stood, unaware that they were being watched.
"Any luck, Lela...?"
"No, whatever water was there before it's dried up now, 'cept for the portion where those damn crocs are waiting around." She muttered, shaking her head quietly. Taja sighed softly.
"Well, it can't be helped. I'm sure we'll find water soon. Let's keep moving for a bit longer."
The less time they had to sit still, the less time Lela would have to fuss over Kairi, after all, relieving Taja of some of her own homesickness too. They were rather oblivious of the group of males waiting to ambush them, but...
"Wait, do you smell that?"
"Barely. Wind's not in our favor today. I'd bet any prey will smell us coming from a mile away. Hmm... maybe some of the huntresses decided to find some game outside of the territory today?"
"They're headed this way... do you think..."
"I do. We might as well say hello and goodbye, anyway. Might be someone we know."
((I wasn't sure what to do about Lela since she's supposed to get away and get caught later by Anga. They're closest to the guys at the moment, but to make it easier I sent them heading towards Iris' group (and LSX's by default too.).
Maybe she and Miki just manage to slip off during the confusion, given it's such a big group?))

Mwenyezi simply smirked at Tariq. It wouldn't do to anger one of the Royal Viziers, so the pale lion remained silent instead of answering back. Instead, his attentions then turned to Kwea. He seemed very eager indeed, to the point where he went straight up to Tariq and joined him at his side. How cute. Each lion is this group was quite different, and so Mwenyezi couldn't help but wonder if they were going to be able to work effectively together.
His train of thought was broken when Aali spoke up. At the mention of females, Mwenyezi's dim yellow eyes narrowed in an effort to spot them, whilst his body instinctively crouched to the ground. Sure enough, there was a small group of females in the distance. When the Sultan had given him his part to play, the pale lion stalked forward, keeping as low to the ground as was possible. Now he just had to wait for Tariq to get things started.
He was very careful not to show his dislike for his particular task. All his plans were built around the idea of his females not fearing him, and now he was one of the ones that had to run in and knock them out. Needless to say, none of these females were going to like him very much after this.(( Here's the PM I got from the Pride mule about where females are located. )) Quote: The males have spotted Iris' 3 girls and Zira is heading towards them and Kianga is asleep/about to try and sleep nearby with Lela and Taja coming from the other side towards Neema, Miki, and Vika.
So the males have seen and are going to try and get Neema, Miki, and Vika and I think Taja, Lela, and Zira will rush to help them once they hear the commotion and maybe Kianga will as well or she'll be spotted after and captured while asleep.

Ukoo wasn't a day time lioness. She was never out in the sun. Ever. It was against her religion in a sense. Since her cub days, it had changed from day living to night stalking. And she hadn't known anything else. Yet today, as she lay sleeping beside her two cubs, her sleep walking kicked in again. It had been a year since her bout of walking in a trance-caused her to do unusual things. It was strange though, she did not appear to be sleeping. In her dreams, she dreamt nothing-but out in the real world, she was as real and normal as ever-in fact-more than her typical self.
She was up and alert and bright eyed. Her gaze was a bit distance but her stance was not her. She was confidant and bold, her olive paws taking her farther and farther from her home lands. Farther from her children. She walked as though she knew the lands by heart, though she hadn't stepped on them since-long ago.
She just walked a path unknown to her and walked it not as Ukoo-but as-who knows. She paused to catch her breath, sitting herself under a fallen tree, where green leaves still clung to the branches. In the shade, she caught her breath, though her red eyes shined like stones.

The adolescent at his side wasn't an unexpected presence, as Kwea would often stick close to Tariq given the chance. The adult didn't question it, nor did he comment on it, nor did he show signs of liking or disliking the youth. So no one could be sure what he thought of red and white boy. He did smirk back at him, but then again, Tariq smirked at anyone.
Smirk fading at the sultan's words, Tariq's muscles flexed throughout his body, ears standing tall as he sunk into a stalking position.
A group up ahead? All females? The sultan was skilled, that was for sure...And Tariq'ra'd never once questioned him. He knew without a doubt that there would be females ahead if Aali said there was.
Pink eyes flashing at the orders he was given, Tariq sped ahead of the group, black body swift as a shadow in the night as he ran. Sure enough, Tariq saw a cluster of a few females right ahead of him. He didn't pause, and didn't hesitate. In almost sheep-dog-like maneuvers, Tariq made his way behind them, giving them little room to react due to his sheer unexpected speed.
There would be little chance for them to run back to their pride now, as Tariq was behind them. They could only run forward, to his group. No doubt they would be shocked and scared at the sudden sight of him.
Tariq grinned at the thought.

-Even despite keeping a vague look out for trouble, and vague it was for trouble was so sparing in the pridelands, Neema had not noticed the fellow females that had caught sight of them.
No monster had touched her vision as well though, and the eldest girl was relieved, before chiding herself for having fallen for one of Miki's tall tales again.
Her tail swayed back and forth mildly, mind pondering over how far Vika and Miki would drag her today. A flood of question touched her however as she spotted something else on the horizon, jumping childishly back to the conclusion that it tied into Miki's words. Men... and so many of them! Could it be..? Knights... knights having slayed the monster!?
Her head turned as the grasses rustled behind her, pausing to try and find the source.- "Girls.."
"Yeah huh?" -Miki piped vibrantly, pausing at the strange tone that reverberated from her eldest friend. She wasn't going to try to persuade them home ALREADY was she? Neema was such a worry wart and a half. Much to her dismay nothing ever happened in the pridelands! Well not since the old queen and heir had gone missing.
Eyes catching the shifting shadow behind her, her ears perked up in surprise, leaving Vika's side to come nearer to Neema. What was that now?- "Ja find yourself the monster Neema?"
-Like Neema, Vikasini's eyes had found the group in the distance, stepping subconciously closer to Miki in her shy way. But as Miki and her attention turned, the scary word 'monster' touching the air Vika had focused her attention forward, padding forward a few steps.
Were these ones from the pridelands? She didn't recognize them. Maybe rogues wanting to join? Calling out pleasantly in her sugary sweet voice, she padded forward even further from her little group.- "Hello there! Lovely day isn't it?"
((Mine girls are facepalm style dumb. XD *blames it on the friendliness and trust of the pridelands*))

So far everything had been quite calm, the lioness had leisurely taken to strolling a good way away from the group as she kept her eyes on the females infront. Everything hunky dory. Till her eyes decided to play tricks on her. A brief black flicker came to the corner of her eyes and she paused mid step, was the heat getting to her so soon that she was seeing spots or what it just a ratel or a genet foraging? Hmm. Probably all those things.
However something else caught her eye, narrowing her bright orbs she peered past the group of females to the dark cluster up ahead. Who was...? ... A sudden jolt of unfamiliarity hit the back of her head and her ears flattened back, something about this suddenly made her instincts scream and the springs in her legs tighten. Something was wrong. Why had they stopped? And it was only then did she see a brief flicker of a shadow inbetween her and the others...
She almost bolted from the grass towards them, but with the distance would it be too late!?
The crimson 'rogue' meanwhile had fallen into a mass of near fitful slumber under the aged acacia, soft chocolate eyes fluttering in and out of conciousness as she was unaware of the drama going on a few good metres away from her spot.
