This thread will be for listing known Yudou. You may only post here if you have a Yudou, and only once, to show their picture and add information about them if you wish.

It should be known that I will edit some of your posts. You do not get to choose what your Dream is the Yudou of. I will post it myself, or PM you with the information so you may post it.

This is to be a reference thread for those who are interested in knowing whose Yudou has domain over what.

Those of you who own a Yudou should be well aware that if you RP your Yudou, and keep a journal for them, it is entierly possible for your Yudou to gain more powers and even evolve into a form beyond that of a Vision.

Yudou


What are the Yudou exactly? Well first I need to explain to you a bit more about a Dream first. Dreams are created from the essence of imagination. be it subconsciously through dreams, or agoal that a person has in their life. Dreams are formed from hopes as well. But each Dream is formed, more or less, from a single unique idea or desire.

The Yudou however, are not Dreams formed from a person's inner desires. A Dream is formed from the very material that these dreams are formed from. To break it down simply, a shirt is made from material...but the material is made from cotton. It is all the same thing really, but at the same time, slightly different. Tydou are like the 'cotton' that shirts are made of.

A Yudou has no gender beyond what it desires, because a Yudou has never been 'dreamt'. It simply 'is'. The exact origin of the Yudou is questionable, and if they know, they do not reveal that they do. Dreams tend to look to the Yudou for guidance in certain particular areas. Whym is the Yudou of Knowledge, so were a dream to be seeking information about a specific question...they would call upon Whym for an answer. If another Dream was seeking skill's in battle, the Yudou of War would be the choice they would make. And were a Dream to be seeking a favor for another dreams heart, the Yudou of Love would be the one spught out.

Yudou all fall into one of three alignment roles as well. Good, Balance, and Bad.

Alignments
Good: A goodly aligned Yudou is inclined to be helpful to the Dreams about them. They usually seek order, but this is not always true. Good Yudou teach about valor, sacrifice, and generoisity as three of lifes most important values.

Balance: A Yudou that is of the Balance alignment realizes that without evil or bad actions, one can not recognise good actions for their worth. Nor, without good actions, can evil ones be recognized for what they are. The world is a place of chaos, but even in chaos some amount of order must exsist, otherwise Chaos would be predictable in it's unpredictability..and hence no longer be chaos. Usually only other Yudou of Balance ever completly understand the thinking of another. Both Good and Bad aligned Yudou will agree, however, that the Yudou of Balance are nosey busybodies that can't decide which side they are on.

Bad: The reason these Yudou are called 'bad' and not evil is simply because...you can be bad without being evil. A Yudou that refuses to clean up it's room is bad...not evil...so a Yudou of sloth couldn't honestly be called evil! Just...erm...lazy. Bad Yudou usually have one thing in common, they are self-centered. They care little for other Dreams feelings, unless it somehow impacts them in a way they dislike. They believe, and teach when they feel like it, that the world is a cold callouse place. (Why else would Dreams be forgotten and cast away?) So, a Dream should, while it has the oppertunity, to live it's life as best it can, get what it can out of it, and string their dreamers along endless false roads, so as to never be forgotten again.

Whym is the Yudou of Knowledge. Information seems to come to him as easily as breathing does to the rest of us. Whym is a slightly aggrivating Yudou in the fact that, even if he knows the answer tos omething, he will never give a strait answer. He prefers to quote riddles or poetry to those who ask him for knowledge, and make them figure out the answer themselves. Though this tactic is infuriating to most, it does seem to be effective in keeping others fromburying him under a deluge of questions, and makes them think for themselves.

Whym is the eldest of all Castaway Dreams. His knowledge of Nowhere is so extensive that even he has to pause to wonder if there is anything he doesn't already know. Whym also is known for his visions that he gets every so often. Glimpse's of the future, he has hinted at a dark time coming, though he will not disclose any more information other then that.

Whym's mysterious activites have led him on many odd adventures. Following the path that he forsee's in order to better Nowhere for all Dreams, Whym has evolved into a Vision form!

Whym's activities in Nowhere continue to remain unknown. He is the one who finds the scattered Fancie eggs, however, and delivers them to those he deems worthy of raising the fragil creatures. Though he has dropped hints to LC about things to come, the one he has picked to oversee the distribution and care of the Dreams does not know what this busy and rarely seen Yudou is up to....

Powers/Abilities
* With all of Whym's knowledge, it has gained forsight to how to alter future events to try and shape them to it's will. Because of this, with every Breeding that Whym partakes in, there will always be at least 1 Dejarnee produced. All %'s of possible outcomes are also raised as follows:
Colors: 75%
Markings: 50%
Cosplay Features: 10%
Yudou: 10% if Whym is the only Yudou, 34% if the other parent is a Yudou as well.
Blessed: 100% for the first Whisp, 20% for the remaining two, or 30% is the other parent is a Deejarnee.
Twins: 10%
Celestial: 10%, or 20% if the other parent is Celestial.
Poison: 0%, or 10% if the other parent is Poison.

Domain: Dreams; Astral Projection

Gabriel is forever locked in his Sleeping stage. A Dream whose domain is Dreams, he will never waken from this slumbering state. Due to his state of eternal rest, Gabriel has manifested a second domain power, Astral Projection. Though his tiny body sleeps on, a ethreal visage of his Aware self flits through exsistence. Traveling where it will, it's only requirement is that it returns to it's true body once a day to rest before leaving on another jaunt.

Gabriel possess too, the ability to enter the dreams of others, including other dreams! In this place he has total control of the environment. He may speak and interact as if almost on a physical level with those that he enters the dream state of.

Gabriels Astral form does not appear the same as his little sleeping form. Rather, due to his constant activity in the dream realm, he has managed to progress beyond a simple dream form and has taken on the form of a Vision!

Domain: Optimisim

Cai possesses the innate hope for all things to always come out well. Though he may or may not know it, he has the ability to lift up the spirits of those that are feeling down, and is unable to fall prey to desperation. Though he may feel sadness, he will never be capable of succumbing to the claws of desperation or hoplessness. His optimisitc soul brims with positive energy, and a promise of hidden surprises in his future.

Power/Abilities
* When in battle, Cai has the ability to 'Lift the Spirits' of other Dreams in battle with him. When done, a faint glow will surround the dreams in battle, giving them 2d10 temporary Health points, 2d6 temporary Defense points, and 2d6 temporary Attack points. These points remain with the Dream until they are either defeated and sent back to their guardian as a whisp, or the battle is won.

Domain: Wine/Relvery

Party on! This young Yudou possesses the spirit of wine and relvery! In essence, it's time to party and drink when this one gets involved! Though this Yudou is the patron of wine of all sorts, it lacks the ability to be...sober. Yes, thats right...even when not drinking this Yudou suffers the effects of being a little tipsy. But thats okay, because this Yudou is also immune to any form of hang over!

Power/Abilities
Water to Wine Ever suffer the pain of opening the fridge to get a drink and finding theres nothing to drink but water? Fear no H2O! With a giggle and a nod this Yudou can turn a cups worth of water into any sort of wine it has ever tasted

Battle! This is the calling of this Yudou! Into the frey with no fear and a lust for conquest, this Yudou is gifted with a indominatble spirit. No odds are too high to overcome! For the Glory of Nowhere! Attaaaaaaack!

Power/Abilities
Battle Cry When in battle, at any time, Clover may yell out a battle cry so intimidating that there is a 50% chance that each nightmare it is fighting will simply turn tail and run!

Domain: Theft

With maturity having set in, and a power long due now surfacing, this young Yudou will find it's movements fare more graceful then it has ever felt before. Possessed of a un-natrual stealthiness, it could enter a place and be un-noticed until it spoke.

Powers/Abilities
* When in battle, this Yudou possesses the ability to Escape from it at any time it so wishes. When it escapes, a luck roll may be made in a attempt to snatch a item from the Nightmare it is escaping from. If it's luck roll is higher and wins, then the NM randomly rolls and awards one of the battle items the Nightmare has in it's possession. The Nightmare loses this item and can no longer use it for the remainder of the battle. This Escape-Theft ability can only be used once per battle against any given Nightmare.

Domain: The Lost

Atlantis. A Civilzation lost and to this day debated over it's exsistence. Is it any wonder that a dream so widely believed and yet disbelieved would become a Yudou? This Yudou holds domain over 'The Lost', which in essence means...it knows where all things lost have gone. Their fate, where they are, and how they got there. Sadly, this knowledge is also a curse, for as a Yudou of the Lost, she must also maintain her domain and not lead others to the lost things. To do that would mean she'd be going contrary to her nature! It is not a descion of her own to keep these things secret, but her powers strength that keeps her from speaking the locations. It is physically impossible for Atlantis to point, direct, write, or otherwise give physical hint to where the lost items are. It can not even direct where the lost items are not. Nor can it speak the knowledge of where the lost is, or is not. A terrible burden for such great and useful knowledge. (Note: The item must be -lost-, not undiscovered. Atlantis would not know where a diamond deposit was if it had not already been found yet.)

Domain: Terror; Fear

Ever feel a cold chill run down your spine for no reason at all? Ever feel a sudden fear that there is sonone watching you when you know your all alone? This Yudou's mere presence causes such feelings to rise in others. Unease, fear, and terror are her gifts. Though she never feels any of these feelings herself, she is quite capable of stirring them up in others. Sheyar possesses a ghostly type presence. So silent even the Yudou of Theft wouldn't know she was following it save for the eerie sensation of being watched. This Yudou knows what frightens you, knows your darkest fears and can conjur illusions of your deepest fears into being.

Power/Abilities
* Know Thyself. This power allows Sheyar to delve into the minds of other Dream's with no hinderance. She can only learn, however, what frightens the other dream. Taking these feelings, thoughts, and images, she can create tangible illusions of that fear, and make it so only the dream she is focused on can see them, or make it so all can see the illusions she has created.

*Ghostly Passage Sheyar is akin to a ghost in some manners. Though she appears fully solid, she is in truth like an illusion. She chooses when she desires to be solid, but for the most part she could be passed through like a beam of sunlight. Because of this, she can stalk silently after any dream, making no sound and giving away no hint at all that she is there unless she deems to let the other know.

Domain: Music

Theres a sound in the soul of this Yudou. A deep ringing tone that can not be smothered. With the emergance of it's power, the Yudo will come to realize that every word that escapes it's lips holds a musical note. While it doesn't neccessarily sound like it's singing, those that listen will find that each word spoken is like some perfect melody. But thats not all! Were music to be given solid form and allowed to move freely about, this Yudou would be it's embodiment. When it so desires, it can turn it's steps and movements into a graceful physical form of song.

Yudou Powers/Abilities
* With the emergance of it's Domain, Puni-Puni has gained a +10 Stat Bonus to it's Def. This is due to the overall gracefulness and agility the dream has gained in movement.

* This Yusou possessed the ability of Clear Sound. In short, when Puni-Puni so desires, it may emit a sound so musically pure that it completly clears the minds of all those that hear it. This effect counters all mind effecting powers providing the dream can hear the sound being produced.

Domain: Memory

The realm of Memory is a fickle thing. Like ones true memories, sometimes the things that are remembered are not quite...clear.... As this power emerges from within this particular Yudou, it will find itself often times forgetting the moments when it's power reveals itself. Just like true memories, this power can flicker to the surface without being called, but rather by something setting it off. On top of this comes the benefit of having a photographic and unfailing memory itself.

Power/Abilities:
Recollection: A power that tends to react rather then respond. When the Yudou's power of Recollection activates, it will fall into a trance like state. It will recall bits of the past of whatever has triggered it, usually speaking in the form of narration aloud. There is a large chance that anything the Yudou currently recalls will be forgotten the moment it leaves it's trance like state. This power can be activated by a object that the Yudou has touched, by a phrase spoken by another, or simply meeting the gaze of another. When reacting to the presence of another Dream, flash's of their past reincarnation may be what this dream picks up. ((This is pretty much a RP intensive power. Discussion between RP partners will be required for this power to truely be used and it will grow as the Yudou grows))

Domain: Desire

Do you know what you want? Deep in the depths of your heart? You may not know, but this Yudou can. Even fleeting desires can be known to this dream with a glance. Though this Yudou encompasses the domain of Desire, it is not limited in the least to base animalistic things. There are so many different sorts of desires...wants and needs both. (This is a Cooperative Power type, it does not give the Yudou the power to decide what another dreams desires are, but when asked/used it is up to the other dreams owner to decide what is revealed. If a Dream doesn't even know yet what it desires then nothing can be gained)

Powers/Abilities
Aura Sight: This ability gives the Yudou the ability to 'see' what current desires/wants another Dream feels. These are simple base things, and tend to change moment to moment. It does not reflect the heart of their desires though. This power manifests itself in a glow surrounding the dream Candle is focusing on and is revealed only to the Yudou. It may only be used on one dream at a time, and may be turned on and off at whim. Pale auras represent only slight desires. The brighter the aura the stronger the desire.

Domain: Agriculture

The mere concept of agriculture brings to mind fields of vegtables and hills of fruit trees. But this power is more then simply the understanding od how and when to plant for food. It includes the care, tending, and harvesting of herbs, both for food useage and medicinal useage. Imparted to this dream is the innate knowledge of where to find certain plants of beneficial use at any time of the year.

Powers/Abilities
Nature Sense This power grants the Yudou the ability to locate any sort of plant it desires and in any quanity it wishes. Much like the game of 'Hot and Cold' the Yudou can sense the nearness of a particular plant type.

Domain: Poverty

Some say the poor are truely the blessed, for they understand the misfortune of not having what you need, and greater appreciate the small things they are fortunate enough to have. As this power bestows itself upon this Yudou, it will find itself both blessed and cursed. Blessed for the fact that every battle it is in will yeild it twice the amount of points, but cursed by the fact it can only own a single item at any one time. (This does not count towards scrolls or runestones, as they are merely containers in which mystic knowledge is imparted and the physical representation vanishes after use)

Powers/Abilities
Limited Resources Due to the fact this power comes from the mystic energies of Poverty this Yudou is allowed only one item in it's inventory for use. Any other items this Yudou would normally be entitled to will vanish after being given the option to choose among the items what one it would like to keep.

Domain: Virtue; Modesty

The Domain of Virtue is broken up into various different parts. This particular Yudou has been gifted with the Virtue Modesty. The emergance of this Domain may come as a bit of a shock to the Yudou. Though the feeling of power imbued will course through it, there will also come a feeling of not being complete or whole. This is due to the fact a Virtue Yudou requires the presence of the other Virtue Yudou to feel complete. Until such a time as all the Virtues have emerged this feeling of loss will haunt the Yudou's heart.

Powers/Abilities
Innocence Aura When desired, the Yudou can emit a pristine white aura, akin to that which one would attribute to a unicorn. While haloed in this aura, anything the Yudou comes in contact with will be cleansed. Water will be made clean and pure, food will be restored to a state in which it can be eaten, and wounds will be sanitized. While useing this power the Yudou must maintain a demure attitude. neither bragging nor boasting of it's power or itself, or else all the good it has done during that period of time will be undone instantly and will resist the Yudou's aura touch.

Virtues Blessing: This is a prescious power that requires the presence of the 3 of the following Virtues working together: Compassion, Honor, Justice, Grace, Love, Modesty, and Harmony. By forming a triangle around a single non-dream individual and reciting the following incantation, the power of the Virtues will unite to cast the subject into a deep sleep like trance. This power causes the subject to seperate their body and a small part of their soul like in Astral Traveling. The main difference is that the seperated portion takes on a physical form, that of a Deejarne. The transformed subject may choose any Deejarne shape they desire, but they do not recieve any of the powers of that particular Deejarne type. In this form they are able to cross over into Nowhere and interact there as if they truely were a Dream. It should be noted that no powers or abilities will cross over with the transformed subject. The power to cast spells or any immunities they may normally have can not be transferred to the transformed self. The Transformed Deejarne will have basic stats and can contribute in battles, but they can not recieve any rewards from said battles, thought items can be given as spoils to any other true dream in the party. Once the Transformed leaves Nowhere they return to their body and waken. It should be noted that while in Nowhere their true body will require looking after, it will still need food and drink and if the body dies then they will simply vanish from Nowhere.
