Here's a question for ya'll. Ever had dreams about your fellow Modists? Had your subconscious give Romuel a brief cameo in the crowd that watched you try to give a speech in your underware or watched Meghan and Deoridhe mudwrestle? Ever found yourself begging the Mods to delete a post, only to discover the next morning that the post never existed and the mods are a bit puzzled as to what crack you've been smoking?

Well... gonk Apparently, I've been away from writing and roleplaying a bit too long. My subconscious thinks it's taking over for Steven Spielberg and I've been having long, involved dreams that take place over the mental time of multiple years and the physical time of several days. I'll just finish sweating out the end of one when, the next time, it'll pick up right where the last one left off. And the Church of Mod figures heavily into the grand scheme of my subconscious. It's starting to scare me.

I sat down tonight to work out the general pattern of the dreams and what kind of common threads I'm finding. There does seem to be some rhyme and reason to it, which bothers me more than it probably should. After all, I've been reading novels and watching multiple-movie series for a long time, right? It makes sense that my subconscious would pick up on the ideas of cliffhangers that made movies like Star Wars and Terminator into multi-movie epics. There have been five dreams so far, or at least five that I've been able to easily identify.

The first: I helped lead a revolution and reinstate a lost ruler (she'd been hiding in the harem for years). The sidestaff of the dream included Deep Vermillion (fellow revolutionary), Kia (the cat that kept wandering through to give me good advice at the last minute), and Jeanak as a very small, very irate child.

The second: picks up about ten or fifteen years after the first, again in the same country as ruled by the woman I helped put in power. Everyone remembers me and is excited that I came back. My daughter's taken over my position as military aide. The sidestaff of this one included DV again, Romuel as one of the queen's handmaidens (mighty snappy in Romanesque garb), Clover (another handmaiden) and Gendou (the cook...and no, I don't know why).

The third: I'm a bard accosted on the roads by a gang of thugs. I spent most of the dream traveling, though, with one of the thugs who decided he liked me better than his buddies. I ended up being taken over by some otherworldly presence, which pretty much wanted to kill all of humanity, so my buddy killed me. gonk For the good of us all. There's something really disturbing about waking up in a cold sweat with a friend's face looking at you seriously saying, "I'm sorry, Linn. It's for the best." And then, after killing me, he killed himself. crying Sidestaff: Eternitian as the buddy, Elliedoll as a barmaid, and Noraboo as a passing noblewoman who laughed when I tried to sing a song for her. This one included several songs I'd apparently written to entertain with...the only one I can remember now is "Eternal One", which was written for Eter and described the events of the St. Lanzertine's duel-that-wasn't. xd

The fourth: I'm hiding in the hold of a ship and I'm dragged out by the crew who call me a stowaway, even though I can't remember being a stowaway. The captain is nice to me and talks everyone into letting me go and I stay on (in spite of very vocal superstitions about women being taboo onboard a ship) as the bard (again). I ended up singing in bars and taverns in ports to get attention for our ship. Sidestaff: Eter, Faeri Dancer, and Westonian as crew members (West pinched my butt gonk ), Ellie as a barmaid again, Romuel as somebody who tipped me into leaving her alone, and Meghan and Poopy, who were apparently on a date. sweatdrop

The fifth: Barely notes mentioning in this series and I consider it the oddball of the group, product of the unholy joining of a Kenshin marathon (first ten episodes in rapid succession) and WAY too much caffiene earlier in the day. I get plopped into the middle of the story with DV, Eter and Rommy. Again, it's hazier than the others and way too convoluted for me to even sort out...but that's kinda the jist of it. sweatdrop

...now that I've dumped all of this out, please, please tell me I'm not the only one having weird dreams about the Church? Please? sweatdrop gonk

Deo was in my dream last night. I have no clue what the dream was about, but she was there.

I can honesly say "no"........

Sometimes I remember my dreams, but not really. The last one I remembered was before I joined Gaia.

I know that I dream though. Every morning I wake up and I can feel whatever I was dreaming about slip away as I try to remember it. It's likely that you guys appear there.

*turning ten shades of red* ...I think I was going to pop in and say something about how I hardly dream at all anymore...but I, um, seem to have -entirely- forgotten whatever it was I was thinking before you said that... heart redface whee

Yeah, that's why I keep a journal next to my bed so I could record them. It works well to remember them.
