Mother.
A odd word to say the least. What does it mean to be someone's mother? Clearly it was the biological bond between a baby and its parent. A mother is a person who's womb you live in and then brings you into the world. At least that is the obvious answer. No to be a mother is to care, nourish and protect a infant and love them more than yourself. To be a mother is to be someone who carries the most respected duty in the world. To bring and cherish life.
So can you have more than one mother? In a way anyone who helps raise and protect you can be counted as such. Although the biological one would always hold a special place. There blood runs in your veins afterall.
A young colt was laid on the beach looking out to the sea with a small smile on his face, he loved being here it was his favourite place in the world. The sun was just raising and making the water glow a orange colour. He was so happy he was getting more freedom. If he had to wait for the others to get out of bed he would never see scenes like this. Getting them up this early was like waking the dead. More so they would be complaining all the way down so he would have to start and stop all the way.
The water was brushing his front knees it was cold and the splash it made in his face made him laugh. He was so simple minded. Just like any other young child it did not take much to keep him entertained.
Someone was near... although he did not know it yet.
