Possums are very common, I mean, we have tonnes of them living around my house. But normally I see them as little shadowy figures on powerlines or in trees. This little guy came up to the grass outside our Magnetic Island apartment every night, looking for food I guess. xd

Wallaby
There were rock wallabies living RIGHT OUTSIDE our apartment on Magnetic Island. I was SO excited. They're nocturnal as well, so we watched them grazing every night. But one morning when we were sitting outside this wallaby came up (from the rocks to the little patch of grass near us) for some food. AND THEN HER JOEY POPPED ITS LITTLE HEAD OUT. We watched it for about 20min, seriously only 1m away. It was soooooooo cute.

Koala

Curlew
These birds are HILARIOUS. They were everywhere on Magnetic Island, and they seemed really curious. One of them ran right over my towel on the beach.

Kookaburra
I love kookaburras. heart One of the places we stayed at had kookaburra feeding. Don't normally get this close! biggrin

QLD Groper
Can you see the fish face? biggrin
This guy was off the jetty at Hitchenbrook Island. He apparently weighs about 150kg!!
