AIM RP LOG Nafsi --> Seaki Mashaka --> nessiaing It was odd for her to travel far. Well, she wasn't too far from her tree, but she hated walking. A small patchy hare hung limply from her maw - she carried it as she would carry a cub. The small thing dangled, and it's paws flopped oddly from being broken to hinder escape.
Nafsi had to make sure the hare wouldn't die or get eatten in her absence, so she simply took it with her. It was nearly naket, but she could already see the tunnles which the lifeblood flowed through. It amazed her. She never saw these when she ate. She also didn't know the skin underneath was pink. It was strange. Sure, cubs were born with thin hair, but they had fur covering the pinkness of the skin.
Simply amazing.
However, the small creature whimpered in pain often, but refused to die. It was a strong little creature. She was finished expirimenting with the small thing, now she wanted to see if she could heal it.

Mashaka had been wondering through unexplored lands all day, seperate from a lot of his family all day. It was fun to be away from his family and see things he had never seen before. Being away from his family meant he wasn't constantly reminded about his mother's adondinment.
He was wondering aimlessly when he caught the sent of the blood from the rabbit, mixed with, what seemeed to be another lioness. She was close by they had to have walked by here not to long ago. He headed along the same path the lioness had to have taken not moments ago.

Nafsi paused. She had walked deeper into a direction she hadn't been before. She couldn't scent her way back, unless she simply retraced her steps. Her scent was hindered by the small rabbit that still hung from her jaw. She sat the thing on the ground and it curled up right away.
She cooed to it. "Poor baby. I'll heal you though. Your paws should be fine when I'm done." The paws were all broken cleanly. She made sure the bone didn't shatter and she made sure she tried to feed the hare. She cooed for a bit more, the liifted her head to scent the air.

Mashaka had followed the sent all the way to where the lioness stood. He had expected to find her eating but instead he saw her cooing over the bleeding rabbit. "What are you doing?" he called out, approaching the lioness. "Hasn't anyone ever told you that you shouldn't play with your food?" he asked
He came up beside the lioness and looked down at the rabbit that the lioness was looking at. What was she trying to do with it?

Nafsi turned her head quickly. This happened to her often, so she expected someone to sneak up on her now. She just hated when she didn't hear them. "What am I doing..." She looked down at her hare. "Yes, my mother told me that quite a few time," She gave a nod. "Never worked though." She pulled the hare closer to her belly, though it was still viewable. It was, however, more protected.
"I'm healing it. I think I went a little too far when I was pulling out it's fur. I was just curious..." She mumbled.

Mashaka watched her closely, it was strange seeing an adult lioness protecting what she should be eating as food. He lived in a family where food was food, not something that was meant to be poked and prooded, and really he rather not know what made up his food he just wanted to eat and then go out to have some fun.
He bent to see under her stomach "Well once its healed what are you going to do with it?" he asked.

The tan lioness watched the cub peer at the hare. "I don't know what I'll do with it. I like experimenting, but this one... It's strong. I like that," She nodded firmly. "After all, it's still alive! I must have a higher pain tolerence the other hares. All the other ones die of fear or shock, then they're just good for food." She shook her head.
She usually didn't divulge too much information, but the lion asked. "Anyway, who are you?" She questioned the lion lightly.

Mashaka's eyes darted up towards hers, "I am Mashaka" the purple cub answered. Mashaka hadn't met many others outside of his family so he wasn't use to having to introducing himself.
"Who are you" he asked, this lioness was so different from anyone else he had met in the past and he was intruiged. It made him wonder what his mother was like.... not that he would ever know. He started to get sad.

"I'm called Nafsiumiza," she said, giving her name politely. "Though I'm mostly know by Nafsi." It was shorter and easier to say, and it meant one simple thing. Pain. She like it that way. She pulled the hare closer to her body and smiled at the cub.
"Are you from this general area? I've never been in this direction before..."

"Nafsi" he repeated trying to commit the name to memory, it was always easier to remember if he tried repeating it first. "Nafsi" he said again quietly.
Mashaka took a quick look around him, thinking about where exactly his home was in comparrison. Of course he hated to call it home, it was more jsut the place his father took him and his siblings after his mother had run of with her two favorite cubs. "Yes I guess you could say I live around here." he said deciding that was the most accurate response.

Nafsi watched and listen to her name getting repreated. She, herself was good with her names and memory. It's not like she could jot down notes - she had to remember everything. "Ah, good." She said with a small smile. "I live somewhere in that direction by a strange cluster of trees." She said.
"If you ever want to visit that is," she said in a chuckle. "How long have you lived here?"

Mashaka had never been invited to visit someone before and the inivitaion made him smile, it was nice to meet others outside of the family. Perhaps him and this lioness could become friends, all thought there was a significant age gap between them Mashaka decided to ignore that.
"No I haven't lived her long" he stated with some spite in his voice. "I only came here after my mother and dad split ways." he said practically spitting the word mother. "Now I live here with my dad, my grandma, most of my siblings and my fathers mate." the he barly got the words father's mate out. He really disliked most of the women in his life.

Nafsi tilted head head at the anger shining in the cub. "I... see. She was used to bad family situations. Herself and a dog called Uzu were the most prominent in her life, now including Mashaka. She picked up on the subtle words that most would miss. Such as the 'most'. "Anger and hate are very powerful, Mashaka. Don't let it overtake you completly." She remember the tyrant king from her old pride, which was why she evntually left.
"So, really, whenever you want to visit. I wasn't walking too long, so if you ever need to escape and want to talk to someone, I'm right through there." She gestured back at the area from whence she came.

Mashaka nodded to her, she seemed to know what she was talking about and although she had some rather stange habits Mashaka found her rather fun to be around. He didn't think he would find it difficult to find her home, he was young and his nose was quite strong. He made a plan to seek it out before he headed back to his home... back to his 'family'.
Perhaps he hoped Nafsi would be able to help him deal with the issues of his family in her own strange way. " I might take you up on that offer some time." he said quietly his thoughts still stuck on his mess of a family. It was then that he realized he had probably been gone quite sometime.... he should get back. His grandmother got angry when he simply wondered off without permission, something to do with getting hurt and no one knowing where to find him... he wasn't really sure he didn't like to listen when he was being scolded.
"I should let you get back to your.... work" he said to her struggling to find the right word to describe what it was she was doing. "I promise to come see you again soon though...." he smiled to her.

Nafsi gave a small nod in acceptence. "I'll be on my way then. I hope to see you again, soon, Mashaka." She dipped her head and gently grabbed the Hare in her jaws. She decided to head back home. She hadn't even know why she wandered that way.
Sleep, now. She would sleep when she got home, then back to work when she re-awoke.
