Nafsi was curious about something. The body. Today, she wanted to figure some stuff out. Yes, the body was a strange thing. She knew of blood, it runs through one - lifeblood she liked to call it - but she never paid much attention before when she was eating.
So. she caught a small hare. She normally studied hares - she knew there body best and they were easy to catch when hunting alone.
She didn't kill the poor thing when she caught it, oh no, she wanted it alive, even if it was not-so-well. So she broke it's paws and settle back down by her tree. She huffed into the little hare'sd face and nuzzled it slightly, cooing at it insanely. She wouldn't notice anyone until the spoke.

This area, seemed oh-so familiar. The trees seemed to be in a familiar pattern, one that she knew she had seen before.
She couldn't quite place why she had wandered out a little further than usual today. It was just something she felt like doing. She knew the rest of the pack might be worried, but she needed some time to go out and feel the earth around her.
It didn't take long for her to remember why this place looked so familiar. She saw the same figure, huddled under the same tree, many moons ago. She trotted up to it, almost hoping that this encounter would be like the last. She had steem to work off, after all.
"You..."

Before she heard the voice, Nafsi was busy pulling the fur from the small creature. It screamed, and she cooed at it to hush as if it was a cub - of course she wouldn't do that to her own cubs. This was prey after all, not children.
The voice startled her a bit. She looked up at the voice of someone familiar. "Uzuri! How are you?" She asked as if nothing happened. She, after all, didn't think anything was wrong with it. The small, nearly de-furred rodent shook in the cradle of her paws.

A cold rush ran down her spine as she saw the small hare in the lioness' paws. It didn't scare her, as she had seen worse, but it had just....been awhile.
"N.....Nafsi...." her eyes seemed glazed over. The last time she had met this female, she had fought her, leaving her bleeding. She didn't feel guilt about it, though, and that was what bothered Uzuri the most.

She have Uzuri a smile. "What are you doing out here again? My, you've grown!" She hadn't spoken to anyone in a while. Her master wass gone, and he was the last she'd spoken to. It was saddening. She realized the glazed over eyes of the young dog, an adult, but not quite grown.
"Are you okay, Uzuri?" She question, a frown on her face.

Uzuri shook her head slowly, ridding her mind of horrible images that had flooded back to her at the sight of the hare. "No no, I'm fine." She smiled weakly, not wanting to remember anything anymore.
"I was just out wandering away from my pack." the words seemed strange and unfamiliar. Her pack. Hers. It was something she had to get used to.

Pack? Packs were like prides... Oh! They weren't good then. She frowned a bit. "If you're sure you're okay..." She pulled the hare closer to her and nuzzled it. She pulled a bit more fur out of the creature head with she teet and licked the reddened spot soothingly for the creature. "Oh you poor thing," She cooed at it. "I didn't know it would hurt so much for you,"
Her strange cooing at the prompted balding of the crippled hare. It didn't hurt when she pulled fur out of her own body. But, then again, she found a while ago that she had a higher tolerence for pain. "Your pack... how is it?" She asked likely. She already associated it with bad. Badbadbad.

"It's something I needed, I think." her eyes were still. She didn't feel like being happy anymore. Not now, at least.
"It's like the family I never--" she stopped, wanting to rephrase her words. "The family that was ripped away from me." she moved her paw so that it was lightly touching her chest. "You see, Nafsi, I'm not as strong as you are."

"Well, if you need it." She nodded. She was still skeptical. It can't have been good. She gave a sigh and chose not to comment on the pack...thing.
She gave a nod. Family. Mauja was family. "You must be mistaken. I'm not strong," She shook her head and looked back down at the hare, who by now had passed out. She pushed her nose to it's chest to see if the heart was still beating. It was. "What makes you think I'm stong, Uzuri?"

"I know that you're strong because when you hurt, you don't need anything." her face was expressionless, and she looked down at her paws.
"Self-sufficient, maybe?" a faint smile arose on her maw. She felt so weak and powerless. She couldn't even stand up to her memories, how could she lead a pack?

"That doesn't make me strong," She shook her head in disagreement. "I'm not strong. I need a master, though my master is away right now. I don't know what I'd do without him, you know. He gave me instructions when he left, so I would know how to live." She shook her head. "I'm not strong."
She gave a frown. "What troubles you, Uzuri..." She asked. "Is it your pack?"

Uzuri smiled a bit. She felt a little better about herself after Nafsi's statement.
"My pack brings me nothing but joy." though she was always anxious about her pack, and if she'd be a good enough leader, she had never felt any sadness due to it.
"I just....sometimes I remember things that I wish I didn't."

Nafsi smiled, still not believing that a pack could be a good thing, but that was her view - if Uzuri liked the pack, then it was fine. She wouldn't let something hurt her, right?
"Ah, the past. Pasts can be very tormenting..." She comented philosophically. She knew, herself. She didn't want to be a bad mother like her own, but he past shaped her. "But they shape you, for better or for worse, no matter the good or bad from a past. A well-treated prince can become a tyrant, you know," She commented. Such was her old pride.

"I don't want that, though...." Uzuri hated everything her parents stood for. She hated their very beings. If they were to shape her in any way more than what they had done already.....well, Uzuri didn't know what she'd do with herself.
"I hate it. I want nothing to do with it, ever."
