Alak'zar...had no life. It was sad. It was the simple truth. It was utterly depressing. He had not had a single day of happiness in...years. Yes...he could honestly say that. A dreary misery followed each day following the graduation of the only two drow that he hoped at least remembered he even exsisted.
He hadn't even recieved a letter from either of them in... Goddess...how long?
Being a House Prince allotted him some privlidges sure...but this wasn't it. It wasn't. His life only bore meaning in the House in the case his sister and mother died. Only then did he have a purpose...yeah...have a daughter. That was it. So...all he had to do was make certain he looked attractive enough for breeding and his family was happy enough. He had no expectations. no requirements. He didn't have a job...his life was utterly empty. He was un-needed. His antics at the school were gaining him nothing more then sighs and scowls from the teachers. His mother hardly glanced at him when he knew she was aware of some of the cruel disruptions at the training school. So then..what was a unneeded male to do? Alak'zar had finally left the House in a depressive gloom. When he walked out the front gates, he paused and turned to glance back. He knew no one would be flanking him. He knew he would see no guards hurrying to follow him and keep him safe. Still he looked. A faint tremor of pain vibrated in his chest at the visual affirmation of his expectation.
In disgust...mostly feigned really, he turned and continued walking down the street. His left hand lifted upwards and he reached past the feather braided stip of hair so he could gently tap the large green and purple spider clinging to his back. The creature shifted at the tap, and crawled up to peer over Alak's shoulder. He could feel the mandibles of the poisonus creature brushing in a almost nibbling manner. The gentle feeling served as a faint stress reliver...probably due to the fact Morain's poison was a sort that led to unconsciouness. The tiny amounts that pricked through his skin served as a sedative and helped him relax from the frustration and depression that threatened to cloud his mind. It was amazing...after so many years of being exposed to it, the poison was still just as potent as the first day Morain had nibbled on him.
Alak had no destination chosen, so he merely walked along a random path. His brown eyes swept through the crowds. He saw red eyes..and blue..and yellow..and green... a few pink and purple... Sometimes he wondered just where the brown of his eyes came from. Maybe they were colored so as a mocking of his position..as lowly as the dirt beneath his feet... Another nibble on his neck sent a wave of relaxation through his body and Alak paused to close his eyes and release a soft sigh. "That's enough Morain...too much more and I'm going to end up in the gutter...not that anyone would notice I'm sure."

A dancing rainbow, a mad splash of color; whatever you called him the insane drow that is Gir was wandering the street. His clothes were as bright as any flower of the surface and nothing seemed to match. Many who walked the streets here strayed from their own path to avoid touching or even getting close to the small waif of a drow. Those that did collide with him, unintentionally, always got a bit of a shock. His clothes would randomly change colors. Most saw this and knew of his powers, which was a scary thought. A houseless drow, his mind destoryed by unknown trauma, was loose with a great power to wield. With no house to answer to, as his had been destroyed years ago, he had no loyalties; save to the greatest Lady of all, Lloth. Oh how he loved the Great Lady and sought to serve all her Ladies that resided around him. While he had no loyalties in truth Gir was subservient to all females he came across. Most males, however, found his groveling devotion annoying. Several had attempted to intimidate him or even kill him, but after a round with the mad illusionist most just kept away from him. He was the most undrow-like drow you had ever seen.
As he walked, or danced as was his custom, down the street he had a great big grin on his face. His dark fushia eyes had the shine of merriment in them and his looked like a kid on his way to the candy store. Then again Gir always looked like this. His eyes found the whole area amazing and he was always on the lookout for a new playmate. His eyes caught the colorful visage that was Alak'zar. He had never seen this male before but he was so colorful! Just like Gir! And he had the cute spider on his shoulder! That must be another playmate! Oh how excited he was as he pranced his way over to the drow, stopping with a spin and a bow.
"Greetings fellow Rainbow! How wonderful Gir feels to find another color in this spectrum. Are you here to dance across the darkness?" He rocked back and forth on his heels as he smiled up to the larger male. Gir did look rather small for his obvious age, he also asked a lot younger than he was suppose to be. He suddenly giggled and gave Alak a hug, mostly cause he liked hugs. "Gir so likes you! He thinks your spider is so cute! Does it have a name that Gir may address him as? For the Great Lady loves all spiders and Gir wishes to address them properly!"

Alak was...surprised. That was to say the least. Before him was a drow as colorful as his own garbe. Spinning and bowing before him... Alak couldn't help but take a step backwards as he looked upon Gir. He'd never actually been approched before, and never in such a manner. What was this? Was someone finally making a jab at him? Some sort of attempt at mocking?
"Rainbow?" He echoed with uncertainty. He understood why the term was used, and his hand lifted to tug at the decorative necklace around his neck. Dance across the darkness? "I don't know what you..." Alak froze up, his words choking off as Gir would step forwards and wrap his arms around him. His head jerked up, causeing the feathers to sway back and forth as he prepared for the feel of a blade slipping into him from somewhere...or..something like that. Though...,it did not come. Not right away...
"My...companions name is Moraine." He replied slowly while looking down at Gir. Maybe he was just...crazy...?

"Ah! Greetings lovely Moraine, a being so close to the Great Lady! Gir would give you a treat but he has none." Gir bowed politely to the spider after releasing Alak from his hug. His arms swung back and forth for a moment as he gazed around, almost lost in his mind before returning to the current situation. The young one seemed very serious about his dedication to Alak's little friend, looking reverently at the spider before turning to face the other drow. He giggled childishly as he circled the other drow, not that he was looking him over, he just needed to keep moving. It somewhat kept his mind on the same thought path.
"Why is a rainbow so alone even with the Great Lady's blessed companion at his side? Rainbows should flock together for fun and frolic or at least a good game." He giggled again, sounding far younger than he appeared to be. Then again his appearance was far from normal. As he moved and somewhat danced, his clothing would shift colors in random order. Once he finally stopped in front of Alak they were back to their original set. Gir was very thin, obviously someone who did not get many meals, but yet he seemed more than happy with life. Perhaps that was one side effect of madness, life was a dream no matter what was going on.

Alak could only look at Gir with curiosity. Well, maybe there was also a little worry as well. This strange male hadn't attempted to hurt him at all, which he really did expect to be coming to him. He'd been particularly cruel lately after all. Surely someday soon someone was going to take a shot at him. So he was really hopeing. To still be ignored after all he had done... Alak shook his head a little, the feathers in his hair swept back and forth to tickle his cheeks with the motion. His guardian and companion Moraine seemed to be rather occupied by Gir's antics at the moment though. The spider crawled a bit ffurther over his shoulder to peer it's dark black eyes down at the colorful male that was speaking to him. Alak doubted Moraine understood what Gir was saying, but as the spider was bonded to him it was probably picking up some vauge understanding due to what Alak was feeling and thinking at the moment.
Alak turned his head slowly to keep Gir in his sights as the male would circle around him. Perhaps he was just mind broken? "I..." He began, then paused. Rainbows...Alak wasn't certain if he cared to be called that term to tell the truth. "I do not frolic...and no one cares to get too close to me. I'm poisonus I suppose you could say. Like Moraine." Alak lifted a hand to place it gently on Moraines head. "Why are you out here by yourself? Don't you belong to someone?"
