Thali had called Gabriel asking if he would bring Marcy over. Vincent wasn't quite up to leaving the house yet, (and who could blame the poor kid? He was probably scared stiff that he'd be hit again). So she'd set up a play date to surprise her youngest son. The poor boy was still bruised from the fight he'd had with 'Zuba, and well... he just didn't look very happy.
"I have a surprise for you, Vinny." His mother said in that singsong voice she was known to use from time to time.
"What is it?" Vinny asked, sitting up from his makeshift bed on the couch. Thali had made him sleep there in fear that he wouldn't wake up if he fell asleep. Thus, she'd been checking him every half an hour to see if he was still alive. Paranoid mother was paranoid.
"It wouldn't be a surprise if I told you." She said. "You'll see."

Gabriel talked with Thali about meeting up with Vinny , and he felt it was a good idea. Last time Vinny was over at the farm , it didn't end to well. Marcy was happy to see him , and understood what happened.
Gabriel only took Marcy since she was the only one who could handle the car ride. He got lost so he need to cal Thalie. The phone was ringing and he waited for her to pick up.
Marcy was singing a Hawaiian song in the background and doing small hand motions.

Thali picked up the phone. "Hello? Oh, hi Gabriel." She recognized his phone number on her caller ID. She really hoped Marcy could make Vincent feel better. She wasn't used to her son being so unhappy. It was so out of character. He was always such a sweetheart, always so happy.. She knew this couldn't be just preteen angst.
Vincent was in the other room, getting dressed. His mother didn't allow him to cover his bruises and scratches with makeup like Aludra had done--"You might get them infected!" So..He would have to deal with it.

Gabriel was happy when she picked up the phone " Hello Thali I'm here in Barton but I have no clue where I am , I think I'm on your street but I don't see a park , or a nice woodland , sooo Im not sure where I am" he said nice calm but with a hint of 'HELP ME' in it.
Marcy shouted " HELLO" and started to giggle.
"As you can hear , Marcy is happy to see Vinny in his time of need" he stated.

"If you're on my street, go straight. You'll see a large, pale blue house. That's mine. The woods is only near by, and the park's about two blocks away." Thali said vaguely. "It's not too far into town, really." She said. "You know where the park is, you've been there before, haven't you?"
The elf paused and smiled at the sound of Marcy's voice. "Vinny doesn't know yet. It's a surprise. I'm really hoping this cheers him up some.."

Gabriel smiled , and turned a corner " Ahhhh I see your house now ..... Im pulling up now , see you in a bit" he said.
Marcy was soo happy to see Vinny and wanted to tell him all about her Hula shows and everything going on her life , and play " House" like the doctor show with him. " Im going to give him organic love ok daddy" she said smiling.
"Ok Im going to hang up , we will be at your door soon" Gabriel then hung up.
The sound of Organic love ... made Gabriel's mind go someplace else but he knew she ment well. He Smiled back at her " I know but don't expect him to get up or try to do much hes still in a lots of pain" he noted.
" Noo worries DAD I'm Nurse Marcy , I will take good care of him" she said giggling.
Gabriel's mind was just in the gutter and he coudn't help it.

Thali was quick to open the door. "Vinny, your surprise is here!" She said, looking to the livingroom. "He's on the couch, Marcy. Think you can take care of him for me?" She kneeled down to the girl's level. "His heart's been crushed--he needs someone to fix it, and make him smile. I bet you're just the nurse to help, right?"
Clearly, the elf didn't have her mind in the gutter. Her mind was set on making her 'baby' feel better. "I'll make you some cookies in a bit, alright? Do you like chocolate chip?"

Gabriel and Marcy over to the door , Marcy more liked skipped. " Dad I really want to show him our new Hula " she did a swirl in her spinner dress. Her classes were going really well , and she was in the "Show Hula" group now. She was the smallest girl and always up front. This helped her ego alot.
Gabriel knocked on the door , and Thali opened up right away!
Marcy smiled at Thali " No worries MAM he will be back to normal by the time I'm done with him" she said really cute and Gabriel's heart kind of melted. Marcy marched on over to Vinny who was on the couch.
Gabriel said " I will chat with ya as you make your cookies Thali" he said with a grin. " Nice place" he Noted.
Marcy looked at Vinny , his face looked like girls who been beat up by there boy friends or sometimes girl friends on TV shows she watched. " Well other then a few ......favile frakesionstoineyies ((Facial Fractions)) you like fine Sir, now Im going to have to do some tickle test to see if your ok" she said in the best professional voice she could pull off. She got closer to him with her eyes all wide.

Thali smiled, and offered Gabriel a cookie. "Shh.. They've already been made. I just thought Marcy could cheer Vinny up better if we weren't in the same room." The elf rolled her eyes. "Vinny's been getting more picky about privacy. He's really, well, modest."
Vincent looked at Marcy for a moment, looking surprised. "Oh.. You're the one Mom invited." He said, trying to force a smile onto his face. It didn't help his looks any. "I don't think tickle tests'll help any." He said, taking her at face value. "How are you, Marcy?"

Marcy jumped into the air " I'M the Tickle monster" she said in a goofy voice. She had really gentle hands , and could get even an ogre to giggle. She found his right feet ready to be tickled. She made her hand into like person:her index and middle finger were the legs and she walked them to his feet then lightly tickled them.
Gabriel took the cookie and bit into it " thats really really good , thanks much".

"But I don't think--" Vinny paused, and forced a frown. Just seeing his friend was cheering him up, even if it was just a little. "But I'm not--"
That was a lie. He was ticklish. He proved it when he squirmed and moved away from her. "Want to play a game?" He asked suddenly. "A board game, or something?" Maybe being inside--even if it was his choice, was starting to bore him. He seemed restless, even cranky. Though, he might have been cranky because his mother had kept him up all night by checking on him.

Marcy smiled as he moved around all giggly, "I love mouse trap , and who's , who" she said with lots of glee. She ran up to him and leaned on the coach almost close enough to cuddle but that would be odd. " Sooo what games do you have" she said with big eyes.

Vinny moved away from her as she leaned close to him, blushing. Ugh, girls. They made no sense. Lately any girl was making him blush, even his mother. Though, that was mostly because Thali liked teasing him about girlfriends. Well, she had. Before he'd gotten hurt. After that, she'd been quite nice.
"I have Sorry, and Clue, Monopoly, Battleship. We could play Uno, too." The preteen shrugged. "Any game you like--except Monopoly. It's too long."

Marcy loved playing long games of Monopoly but that was partly because of her DNA. She really liked 'Guess Who' so she looked at him " Lets play Who's , Who" as you could tell she didn't know the games true name , but she was close enough to it. " Should you get it or me " she hinted since it might be to high up for her.
She was looking him over " Well he seems to be more sad , then hurt " she sounded like a doctor even in her thoughts. She looked over his face , even with the 'left hand hook' on his face , he looked good.

"You mean Guess Who?" Vinny asked. "I think we still have that game. I'll go get it." He stood up from his seat on the couch, and walked over to the game closet. He opened the door, and looked through the tall stacks of game boxes within. "Yeah, we have it." He said with a nod. He took the game box and walked back to the couch, forgetting to close the closet door.
He sat back down, and handed Marcy the red set. "Here. I'll be blue." He paused, and picked a guy with black hair and glasses. He couldn't read the name on the card, his eyes were still swollen. He had to squint. "Did you pick your person yet?" He asked. "You go first."
