I'm sorry, but right now, I'm dressing as Noctis from Enix's upcoming game. I am not going to wear the ears for the time being, but I will still wear them. Consider me an elf hiding in human form.

Elves can keep their 's**t' as you called it, together because their 'government' was simple (so that i don't use the word primative). In mythology elves are a lot more feminen than humans because they have simpler lives do to what was previously stated.

That, plus elves usually are thought to value individuality, and their society is designed to ensure that that individuality is protected.
