ok who alls marching band plays games within there groups? well in my marching band we have alot. we usualy get the band director to do it to xD

we have The Game...when ever someone thinks of the word game they have to yell at the top of there lungs " I lost the game"...i thoght this game was made at my highschool cause we have been playing it there for the last 25 years...but now im not so sure

We have Mine...this was made by a former graguate from our school...he now goes to Ohio University...Home of the Bobcats...in Athens Ohio...he started it there and brought it to our school...someone has to provoke anouther person to say Mine and if the do it the person that said Mine has to do 10 pushups xD...This is the one where we get the band director at.

We have the Marker Game...The low brass/low winds started this and it is the section game...We run around on teams with different color markers and mark on the other person...which ever team has the most marks at the end of the week dosent have to do fundamentals before the game xD

We also have As You Were Sir...which is a game/reminder to our director that he messed up...If he gives us an order and then says repeat and ends up saying a different order we yell "As You Were Sir" and the director has to do 20 push ups...over the past 2 years our band director owes us 2000 push ups xD


what i want to kno is what ur games are and how they are played. marching band is more fun with games dont u think xD

We don't have any field games like that. But on the bus we play YellowCar, and MarioKart.


In Pit when we're seperate from the band, we have Pit Olympics. Last year comprised of Hill Rolling, Drumstick/Javelin throwing, Keep-Away with the Tire thing, and the Really Awesome Huge Fight (which I recorded since one guy wanted it on his camera, lol).
...I'm section leader, you'd think I would STOP things like this...XD

well we have a game called drillz-its where every1 gets into the standard block formation exept for the section leaders.the section leaders and thier section get about 5-6 feet from another section and they yell out orders like "MARK TIME MARK" AND WE DO THIS UNTILL SAID OTHERWISE. if one of us follows an order said by another section leader then we do 20 push ups. our band camp is in 2 weeks and im going to be section leader. im going to talk VARY quiet and lip-sync with other section leaders. its going to be funny because im going to be section leader of low-brass and im going to make them lose ALOT of weight. even the skinny ones! lol.

Hello, i am a drum major, and that kinda sounds like my "Drill Down of Doom"
in which everyone falls into a 5 across block and we have a drill down and once you fall out, you start running stadiums.
(that's for when the band is being rather less then amazing)

I sooooooooo much fun playing games with the band, big groups are fun*giggle* though i can only remember one(Stupid summer) were people would switch instruments and try to get a noise out(very unpleasent sound) it was fun to see and tuba player try to play the flute *heehee* and the other way around.

that sounds like our tuba section xD

the clarinets play the pony game. You stand in a circle and sing "ride ride ride that pony! Get along that big fat pony! Ride ride ride that pony! This is how we do it..." while one person acts like they are riding on a pony. Weird huh?
