I play Trombone.
With this year's freshman, there are only 3 guys and like, 6 girls in the ******** whoa.
And also, hai and s**t, I've been a member for a really really long time, yet I never post.

Our trombone section is all guys, but over here the entire Tuba section is female. Take that!

We had one one girl in my Trombone section--she was third chair. That's because she didn't practice, and the guy who got second chair took advantage of that. I got first chair because I practiced the (not-so-hard) section that we had to play. Anyone ever play "The Sounder"? Yeah, that was our challenge. Too easy.

We have 2 guys in the alto saxes. And there's like.. 9 of us.. Poor things.. xD
The tubas are 1 guy, 3 girls. Trupets only have 2 girls, think there's 5. Clarinets have one guy, 4 girls. Tenor saxes are all guys, sam with the baritones. Think we have one girl trombone, and 3 guys...

most of our band is guys
in my section there is 4 girls and one guy so we rock that (tenor sax by the way)
we have 3 females on the drums
and most of our upper woodwinds are boys xD

I can beat you all: We don't have a T-bone section. Our BD makes them play bari. We have a girl bari though, and i don't know about freshamn. We have none-two male clarinets. We may get one to make two, or we may lose our one, we may lose ours and get a feshy, no frehsy and keep ours. Haha. There was a boy freshy at one of our 8th grade nightrs, but that doesn't mean he is going to be there this year, and there is a rumor around the school(Strange, everyone but the band has heard it. And me. I heard it from a non-bandie/his friend, and frankly it wouldn't surprise me) that he isn't coming back this year. As far as I know, our brass has 1 girl total, our percussion only has i think 3 boys at least last year they did, saxes are 2 girls right now with a few boys, flutes had 1 boy and 1 girl other then freshys.
Yeah, I know little about next years band. It is going to suck, by the way. I HATE our show! We got music and it is A) Super easy on 1st part B) Super high on 1st part C)Few eighth notes, and all the rythms sare easy. I will laugh if 2nd part is more interesting. Or cry. OIne of the two...

This past year, I was the only girl percussionist in the school. That is, until the little freshman girl transferred in and was put in the other concert band. >>
...and then I went to a camp this summer and realized that I'm a spoiled little percussionist. Girl percs. are mean! o_o
I'm the only girl one in marching band, and I should be the only one in our concert band this year (if I made the higher one).
And I wouldn't have it any other way. heart

here's some number ratios from my high school concert band (guys:girls)
flutes - 1:7
clarinets - 1:3
alto saxes - 2:4
tenor saxes - 2:1
bari sax - 0:1 (yay me)
bassoon - 0:1
trumpets - 4:2
trombones - 1:1
baritone - 1:0
percussion - 3:1

When I joined, the tuba section was 3 girls, 3 guys, now it's all female. I'm at Arlington High in Washington.
