That vision of the golden flower that caused her to come to the Pride Lands had led her to nothing but depression and lost hope. Why did she bother to come? With the slight chance there was a male out here who would take an infertile female as his mate? Though, her last encounter was an absolute jerk, he was right.

A female who cannot bear cubs are only good to males who desire nothing but instinctive needs.

The thought made her insides make a disgusting flip, knowing that is a very possible fate for her. A daughter of the God of Pleasure, her own name meaning 'Anticipating excitement' was infertile, mateless, heartbroken, and alone in these rogued lands. If that were to be her fate, to be mated to a sex-crazed male, at least then she would be wanted.

Sighing, she flopped herself down, tears running down her face.

After his chance encounter with the white and yellow lioness whose name he still couldn't remember, but who had apparently had several of his cubs, Al-Hattal decided to wander away from the Pridelands for the afternoon. He'd probably go back sooner or later, but he wasn't going to push his luck today. There were two or three other females there who might or might not welcome a second meeting with him, and he'd had enough of that for one day.

And, as it happened, he just may have made a good choice, as he soon ran across a decidedly unfamiliar female - although he couldn't quite tell from here if she was lion or leopard or both. Feeling better already, he angled his course to bring him closer.

Limbua sniffled as she raised back to her haunches, wiping the tears away from her dotted eyes. She was suppose to be fertile, she was the daughter of a virile god, why hath Mkodi cursed her like this? Was it because she was an abomination of her creation? A Leopon? She was life, a life who had a heart and feelings, both of which sank as the days passed.

"I curse you Mkodi..." she whispered softly under her breath as she sniffled. It was with that intake of air did she notice another presence beside her own.

"Who's there?" she choked.

Whatever species this female was, she certainly wasn't well...which could actually help his cause. Comfort was a very useful way of getting somewhere when it came to some females. Not that he didn't actually care about them; on the contrary, he cared about them quite a bit for the short time he was with them. He loved females and being in their company, even if he never stayed.

"My name is Al-Hattal," he answered gently, stopping far enough away to not be threatening. "Is something wrong?"

Limbua sniffed, letting out a breath, "Life sucks and as do most of them damn gods, you know?" She sighed as she laid herself back down. As the days drag on, the more she disliked them and the more she felt horrible about herself. Since the day she left her family to seek out her friend, slowly she grew to fall for him as she worried, and when they were together, she was the happiest in her life. When her vision showed him leaving her, she returned to their den empty and wept. It was because of her infertility that he left, her mother was pregnant at the time and she was not.

Granted, she was still a virgin and never experienced a male's touch.

"My name is Limbua... daughter of Limbuko and Hivu. What brings you upon my company?" She questioned the best she could, getting the rest of her sorrows out. It was impolite to feel pity for herself in another's company.

My, my! What about gods could have her so upset? Al-Hattal had had a couple of dealings with gods - goddesses, to be precise - and had no complaints to make about either affair. Although the Goddess of Fire had been, well...much as one would expect.

"Well. Hello then, Limbua," he said amiably, settling back on his haunches. Now that he had a good chance to look at her, he decided she must be a hybrid, which didn't bother him in the least. A female was a female, generally speaking. "I was passing by, and couldn't help but notice you. It would have been rude to just keep going."

"Quite the charmer you are, Al-hattal," she replied, offering a fake smile that soon faded back to her melancholy expression once turned away. He was kind, he was handsome, big, and dark. Of all the encounters she had met, why has this one come to her? "Was it because I am a female that you came over here? Purely for that reason alone?"

Looking at the dark male through lilac eyes, he was indeed a handsome male. His words were smooth and he was humble. Compared to the few whom she deemed very likable, he was among them. Moto'vianzio, a large and daunting male, was an awesome male of stature and shape, but it was his anger, roughness, and cruel words that put her off. Miles was next. Oh how she wished she could forget him, curse whenever she thought of him. How she wished she could be wrapped up in an embrace where everything just slipped away.

Forgotten and refreshed.

...he wasn't usually that easy to see through. He worried for a second that he might be losing his touch, but quickly decided that that couldn't be the case. It was much more likely that she had some reason to be bitter about males...something to do with the gods she'd mentioned, perhaps?

Al-Hattal's ears fell back, and he took a moment to decide how to answer. How he did would likely determine how the rest of this encounter would go. "I suppose you could say that, yes, in that I likely wouldn't have approached were you a male. I've never been much for the company of my own gender."

Honest, but vague. She could take it how she willed.

"So am I to guess you are a roving male?" She questioned, her ear perking up a bit. A roving male meant one who sough company of females for their own purposes. Was this male potentially going to be one whom she was fated to be ... well, the destiny was already explained. The thought worried her but she could not help but feel for it, even the tiniest. It would mean she was loved for a moment, wanted and desired.

And perhaps he would be the one to make her forget about her past and look forward to the future. But was she going to offer her flower to a total stranger?

"Y-you may come closer, Al-hattal... I do not plan to move until tomorrow morn and I wouldn't mind your company... "
PostPosted: Thu Jul 09, 2009 10:20 pm

"Well, I am a male," he answered, with a good-natured grin, "And I am out roving around, so...yes." He hadn't had a home in a very long time, and was probably incapable of staying in one place, but he wasn't bothered by that fact in the least. He loved the life of a rogue, and wouldn't have traded it for anything.

"You don't sound quite certain," Al-Hattal noticed, standing but not coming closer yet. Concern would probably endear him more to this one than eagerness.

"Well, it is not everyday that a handsome male like you would come to a bland girl's company. At this point, I wouldn't mind the company..." She murmured the last bit off. She wasn't going to go spilling her heart out to a stranger about how she was dumped, gave up most of her life looking for him, and have him leave her because she cannot bear cubs. At least with this male besides her, she would feel some resemblance of being a female.

"I am only hesitant because I am being d-defensive."

A lie.
PostPosted: Thu Jul 09, 2009 10:29 pm

"Bland?" Al-Hattal tilted his head, quite honestly surprised by her use of such a word. She didn't look bland, what with her pink and yellow coat, not to mention the unique appearance of a hybrid - lion and leopard, he guessed.

"But you're not bland at all, my dear," he asserted, moving closer to settle before her, his nose some inches from hers. "I'm the one who's one color all over."

Limbua pressed her head against his, smiling, a little more genuine this time, at his comment.

"How can you say that, Al-hattal? You may be one color, but you are handsome and sweet. You aren't one of those egotistical bastards I've met before. I feel good when I am next to you, right now. I am by no means as beautiful as you are handsome. Some daughter of the great God of Pleasure I turned out to be, huh?"

Limbua gave a soft sigh as she raised her lilac eyes to his. He was one color, black, and she could even see herself being lost in the folds of his arms in that dark abyss. Her heart fluttered as she flicked her ears back. How could she be thinking of such things to a stranger?

"Everyone has an ego in them somewhere," he shared, "It just depends on who they're with at any given time, when it comes to whether or not it shows." He could most definitely be an egotistical b*****d, but as that didn't attract many females, it was his charming side that got the most exercise.

"Your father is a god?" Of Pleasure, no less? Al-Hattal blinked. "That is also very far from bland." Quite sure by now that he was going to get somewhere, he didn't mind taking his time. This was part of the fun, after all.

She nodded lightly, watching him. As far as ego's went, she used to be proud to be her father's daughter, still was to less of a degree. She felt as if she was a cub born as a black sheep compared to her two others and possibly may half-siblings as well. Bu loved her father regardless of his adventures with whom ever, she just wished she could make him proud of her.

"Yes, Limbuko's my father. As far as my seer abilities could tell, I am one of his eldest offsprings in his current life time," it was that fact she couldn't tell if she was the eldest or not. Who knows how long her father's been around and with whom. "Considering that, you'd think I'd be with a male before," She gave a nervous chuckle which died quickly when she thought about it.

Boldly, she raised to her feet and cautiously moved to lay be his side, turning to look for his disagreement. None came. "It would be warmer if I were here."
