(( heart This is Tumai. smile He's on a quest to learn more about the Mistweaver Pride. surprised Although he only knows very little about them right now, it is the mystery that surrounds them that appeals to him. blaugh His natural curiousity plays a big part in his quest for Mistie knowledge. He wants to learn more about them, and why they're often refered to as being 'magical'. heart

4laugh So I'm calling for any Mistweaver owners ( as well as owners of former Mistweavers ) to jump into this RP if you have the time. 3nodding Even if it's just a couple of posts, the more Tumai learns about the Mistweavers, the better. heart Maybe after he's learnt enough about them, he can decide to try and join them.

smile This thread is for me and current/former Mistie owners only. heart ))

Kinyamkela padded slowly along the eastern borders, licking the traces of young gazelle from her jaws. She knew she was far enough east of the central lands that she was eating none of Maji's friends or their families; she did get a little sick of fish all the time, however fat and juicy they were by the waterfall.

The young lioness had finally filled out her frame, gorwn to her adulthood at last; she was large for a lioness, and she trotted carelessly through the lush undergrowth, silver and snow coat standing out vividly in the morning light.

Tumai was treading carefully and slowly through the jungle, his jade-coloured orbs looking from one direction to another as he took in the lush beauty of the jungle. His tongue lolled out of his mouth every so often, as his young body wasn't used to walking so far away from home. Also, the sticky humidity in the forest was quite different to the general heat of the crater.

It wasn't long before he decided that he had to take a rest. Flopping to the ground with a thud, he took in a deep breath and then breathed out. It was then that he noticed something white in the distance, that stood out against the greens and browns of the jungle. Tensing just a little, he leaned his head forward. "Hello?"

Kinyamkela swung her head round, grey ears swivelling sharply forward. Se should have been more careful if she could not even catch the scent of another lion... she wheeled and took a few steps towards him warily. Why, it was only a young one. Was she really once that small? Her mind blinked a little; Of course, she had seen no cubs since she herself had been one. And this young male looked a little older than that anyway...

She fixed golden eyes on him and smiled courteously. "Well met, traveller."

Tumai stood up to give a polite bow of his head. When he looked back up, his eyes moved quickly over the large lioness, and finally ended their search by making contact with her own orange orbs. "It seems like I've been walking forever." A light laugh radiated in his throat before he went to lie down on his side once again. "My name is Tumai, what's your name?" It had occured to him that this lioness could be a Mistweaver. She certainly looked like one from what he had heard about their colours and markings, but then again, his sister was a similiar grey and she certainly wasn't a Mistweaver.

A confident young male indeed, to be so at ease in another's territory and in the presence of an adult, though 'Kela, narrowing her eyes for just a second before smiling in return, padding a bit closer.
"Are you lost, young Tumai? For you know you are no longer in your own territory, but another..." The forward lioness let a hint of menace creep into her normally gently tone, testing the cub to see what his response was. In reality she was intrigued by the traveller...

Seeing that his introduction was ignored, Tumai gulped. "Forgive me, perhaps I'm being a little hasty." Shaking his head, letting his small mane ruffle out a bit, he took in a deep breath before going on. "I'm searching for the Mistweavers...I want to learn about them, about why they're seen as being these magical beings. I'm interested in finding out about their history too." Sighing out the last of his remaining breath, he gave the large lioness a small and rather sheepish smile. "I'm quite curious by nature."

"So! You come into this territory.. in search of knowledge?" She drew herself up over him, looking angry and terrible for a split second... before breaking into a wide smile and laughing delightedly.
"A scholar then, young Tumai! Well, you have come to the right place. This is the edge of Mistweaver territory. My name is Kinyamkela, and I am a huntress of these lands."
She flopped down on the slightly damp ground beside him, curiousity now in her gaze as she crossed grey forepaws over each other.
"What is it you wanted to discover? I will tell as much as I know, but there are others better qualified than I to tell.."

Tumai cowered and closed his eyes for the split second in which the large lioness looked furious, only opening his eyes again when he heard laughter. "A scholar?" The young lion blushed, feeling very flattered by this comment. "I'm very pleased to meet you Kinyamkela!" He was getting excited now as he thought of all the questions he wanted to ask her. "I guess my first question is...how were the Mistweavers formed?"

"Ayah, so impatient, these young ones. You are a guest here now... I'd like to ask some questions first." She smiled, her golden eyes bright. "Do you have a family, Tumai, or do you live close by to hear such tales of our magic? And as for your own question... The Mistweavers have always lived here, as those Pridelanders have always lived at a pointy rock." Kinyamkela personally did not know much about the lands outside; these were the tales she heard tell by the travellers.

Tumai smiled warmly, and again took in a deep breath, clearly wanting to get out as much infomation as he could in one go. "My mother's name is Laini, and I have two sisters, Hisani and Ithibati...sadly, my father passed away before I was born. Mother says he was wonderful though, and that she sees him in me, which is quite a comfort. We...well, me, my mother and Hisani, live down in the Ngorongoro Crater. Lots of rogues visit the Crater, and almost all of them have some sort of story to tell about the Mistweavers." He chuckled. "Of course, a lot of them are just here-say...that is why I've come here, I want to learn the facts." Looking around breifly once he had finished talking, he wondered what kind of prey lived in these Jungles.

(( The following RP between Ramses and Tumai is set BEFORE Tumai meets 'Kela. To avoid confusion, I'm going to use a different font colour to the one I've used previously. ))

Tumai gently padded along the dirt trail that seemed to be leading him somewhere. He had walked quite a distance, and was starting to tire. Taking a moment to catch his breath, he stood before the jungle that had come into view and peered into it, trying to make out any signs of movement within. The jungle was thick with trees and plants and flowers, and it was difficult to see anything other than that. Sighing lightly, the juvenile turned round and looked back on the path that he had come up. It sloped downwards, and only then did he realise that he had been climbing a reletively steep hill. Feeling quite proud of himself, he smiled.

The large black lion, even with his blaze of white mane, blends smoothly into the darker shadows of the jungle, save that the bobbing white of his mane is moving slowly though the shadows as he steps out into the dappled light of the edge of the jungle, as though he emerged in small patches of sunshine on black and white fur. He stops, blinking brilliant red eyes as he catches sight of the tawny lion moving quietly down the trail, ears perking with interest.
"You're new." He blinks, pointing out the obvious. "Who are you?"
