-- Group 3 --
~ Hatsume VS Okojo ~
Quote: ~ Rules for Round 1 ~
-- Each RPer will make 5 posts, not counting the intro post.
-- Each post (not OOCs) must have at least 3 lines (in size 12).
-- NO Shikai is allowed.
-- Only Kidous up to level 10 can be used.
-- NO Shumpo is allowed.
-- Not posting for more than 3 consecutive days - after making the intro post - results in immediate loss of the match. - Unless the RPer has warned (accurately and in advance) that he/she will be unable to post for a certain period of time, in which case he/she will be granted that same period to be inactive (not counting for the 3 days limit).
-- Not posting for more than 7 consecutive days prior to making the intro post results in immediate loss of the match. - Exceptions do apply in the same manner as stated in the above point. The area is a large leveled plain. There are some patches of dirt and rocks, but most of it is a grassy field. It's a sunny day, with mild temperature and wind. This is a remote and isolated field, so no other "living" being can be seen for miles.
~ You may begin!!! ~

(( Alrighty, I've already warned you my blood is out of control right now, but my mom is being nice and letting me check on on things, I'll do my best to atleast try and get on within 3 days... Hopefully there won't be any issues. Thankyou, and sorry.... Here is my intro posty. ))
»‡«Hatsume»‡« The isolated grasslands. Blanketed by hard ground leaving spots of dirt sections everywhere. She could feel how 'lonely' the soil was beneath her clawed foxen feet were as roughly padded soles of her feet stepped one by one deeper into this so called 'arena' place. She loved it, Hatsume. She liked how her sensitive ears weren't distracted by other moving objects like field mice or other land-dwelling creatures. She only sensed the gentle sway of wind brushing the top of the elegant long grass like how a person's hand pat a dog's fur. "........Wonderful." Her voice carried out, expressing her joy of being blessed with such a good start-off. She was so much in bliss of this fortunate events that the tempture had been just about perfect too! Her hair was put but, but seeing the change in what she was expecting... the female shinigami raised her hands and tore away the band that kept her dark hair up. Wrapping the clothed band around her wrist which had no jewelry as it normally did. Not even her neck had jewelry upon it, today she was going to do her best not to go easy. This ment not allowing her jewelry to jingle and sound her away to the 'foe'. So, The kitsune shinigami waited patiently... red colored eyes peering out for another figure to come out from and into view. How happy she was, to finally see out what her rank would be... to no longer be a proud non-seated member of Squad 13; but something entirely better! To hold more pride for! To stand tall and speak her rank with the knowledge that she had earned it...! "........" She spoke nothing now, calming herself. Letting her right hand keep close by her side that her Zanpakutou rested at. While her left hand pressed against her chest anxiously to see the new arrival.

(( I hope things get better for you ^^; ))
[Intro]
Okojo had arrived a little later than his opponent, Hatsume. He didn't plan on losing, but to have to fight against the little fox, his friend, and adoptive sister even, was going to be rough. The one-armed shinigami let out a soft sigh as he saw her already there, poised and searching for her own battle foe. He hadn't seen much of her since the squad liberation, working on training with his newish handicap and trying to help out when he was needed.
To be polite and try not to startle her too much, as he'd approached from behind, Okojo cleared his throat a little. "Hatsume-chan. It's nice to see you." He smiled and scratched the back of his head a little. "Too bad we can't chat much or anything... But, maybe afterward?" He remained a distance away from her, his hand at the ready to pull Tenri if needed. After all, he was on a battleground, and they were to fight each other. He doubted they were going to be given a go to when the fighting was to start.

(((Edit:: Post 01 /05 )))
Hatsume::: The short shinigami continued to be waiting, when the soft sounds of foot steps entered into her ears; tmp, tmpm tmp. Through shifting pass the blades of grass or touching foot on the rocky dirt surface the vixen caught on. She remained poised and calmed, his current vibes didn't seem aggressive, nor even threatening.. if anything; they were friendly. Okojo. The one who refused to be called Sama. He was like a brother to her, and it was sad she wasn't able to see him for a long while. "....It has been awhile hasen't it...? We can talk after the game. Sure. Hehehe, let's have fun. All the fun we can give out. Kay..?" She smiled, her friendly voice ending as she turned around, slipping Ame out of the sheath easily and allowing the preparing of the battle to begin. She'd let Okojo fully take his own defenes aswell... so.. afterwards, the kitsune mustered up some quick rapid plans that popped into mind; wondering if Okojo would be the first to atack.. she hated hitting first. ~-~ Argh... but what had to be done had to be done.... Meh. If not, and she did waist this time to see who'd strike first.. she had plans to quicking it up next turn and so-on.
((Sorry. @-@;; I can't think much.. it's like.. LAAAAAAAAAAATe here.... .. . .and.. well.. yush.. I'm nervous.. But I didn't want to be disquified. ><;;; So.. Hopefully I'lll get back in three days... Dammit.. Stupidfohpj'gohg'j ))

"Yeah, we'll have fun with this, huh?" Okojo murmured, smiling as she turned to face him, her blade being released from its sheath. He examined her for a moment, before he shifted and drew his own sword. He then gave a polite bow to signify he was ready and that he had respect for his opponent. He contemplated on whether or not to give her the first attack... He shrugged slightly, and his smile grew a little more serious.
He decided to take the first attack, starting out this 'game' they were having. His feet shifted, bringing him forward, momentum building as walk turned into trot. He was soon bringing his blade up for a vertical slash to Hatsume's middle, his one-handed grip constantly growing more familiar as he grew accustomed to only having one arm. This was a competition, yes, but the bleach-blond shinigami wasn't worried about winning or losing. If he lost, it simply meant he wasn't strong enough to be at a higher chair. He just wanted to see how long he could keep going.

I apologize for intruding at the beginning of the match, But I just felt the need to reassure Hatsume. You need to pay attention when you read the rules, hun.
I wrote there that in case someone provided us with proper notice that he/she would be unable to post in the match for a certain period of time, he/she will be granted that same period to post (plus the standard 3 days).
You've already told us about your situation. And I assume that your health condition is unstable, and by that I mean, you never know when you suddenly might be unable to post for an unspecified number of days. So in taking both this factors into consideration, the "3 days" rule will not apply to you. - Unless that is, that your matches are the last ones still occurring and that they're dragging the whole tournament down. Which doesn't seem to be happening at the time.
Bottom line, Don't worry Hatsu-chan. I just wish you a speedy recovery and that you feel much better soon and all frizdalded up!!! xp ]

POST 02/05
»‡«Hatsume»‡« Okojo's response made her heart and anxious wait flutter with anticipation of his move. Her so very careful senses scanned him, everything so clean and fresh... his new appearance of a single upper limb. How it saddened her, pity rolled in her thoughts; did he loose it during the liberation? Or during hard training to get stronger..? Her dark abysmal pupils nearly narrowed as he examined her for a brief moment in time before he summoned out his own blade to his side. Her soft lips nearly parted in awe, she always admired weapons and their fellow fighters. So what was this couple going to do to stop and prove their selves just as she was going to prove her self? His bow was softly returned with a small tilting bow of her own head as chin ducked down representing some returned respect as a shinigami warrior. Her smile stayed, despite her mind being much more focused and surious on the battle at hand. She was happy and overjoyed- she couldn't be more pleased with the ongoing event taking place, why wouldn't she keep her smile to show this?
The calm friendly bowing, talking, standing was finally put to a end... Okojo was walking towards her, no... his foot steps became more. It became like a trot. She nearly giggled as it reminded her of a wolf prancing forward on all fours; aye... and just as deadly... moving in for the prey. She read his movements carefully, but didn't seem to make a attempt to move at all during this moment until he got to much closer range. Only when Okojo had gotten within reaching range and his momentum became high and action swung into play did Hatsume burst into action herself. .... so what did she do to his striking swing? The kitsune was swift and flexible, crafty and very in tune with her surrounding senses & etc. His grip on the handle wasn't underestimated, nor was it overestimated. She knew in the fact that because he only had one hand to work with; he'd have a chance to use extra force to make sure he didn't loose the grip or to make up what he didn't have- what ever.. etc, Against her own smaller frame of a body, the small fox wasn't about to go head to head against the one-armed blond, not even if she used two hands. So, in a swift movement as Okojo swung out in a vertical slash to her middle section; Hatsume would have ducked her speedy swift and flexible body down and towards Okojo. As if attempting to use his momentum against him; and beable to swiftly duck under his blade... making sure no fatal mistakes or flaws in her dipping maneuver happened- as she ducked, her curved her blade with her bobbing motion. Allowing it to be lifted up and over her head where "Ame No Marukumo" would brace against the bottom of Okojo's Zanpakuto; in return making sure this blade couldn't strike down or at Hatsume as she came in at Okojo's legs and feet.
If successful for say, the kitsune was prepared; using her right muscular hand to brace against Okojo's hand if things went bad unexpectedly to soon- while her left hand prepared itself towards Okojo's legs. Already bend and crouched at the grassy plains flat lands the fox made the action of quickly all in one action charging at Okojo. If he kicked out- she was ready for it, as if actually Hoping for it. That left clawed hand would counter like striking snake shield swipe at that kicking foot making sure she had a good hold on him, even if it ment digging through sandals, footwear, clothes, skin- yes... the vixen would dig her claws deeply in his foot to keep a good hold before attempting to shove him backwards and knock him off balance. While leaning in a way so that her long blade would also be bracing against her and Okojo's blade for better support against his own blade; although making it abit more risky for the female...
.... So, her attempt to tip him over would be set if he kicked her, but if he did not kick at her for some odd reason, maybe he did not see her come from breathe for was just in shock..? Either way- She'd use that same left hand, posing it in that deadly striking manner. Flexing her digits to a strict point as if mimicking a blade of sorts, even her thumb had been aimed in a certain direction... Her striking hand would very swiftly- and with one single movement of strike and pull back; shoot forth below his knee... pericing just in the middle of his right Tibia bone. He sharp claws could do dramatic things when used correctly at correct angles and together; if she was able to hit- the strong clear coloured fox talons would easily rip through the material garb, making as if skin was never there; where also the threat of piercing through the posterior tibial artery and vein; and ofcourse her direct intention of breaking or shattering/damaging of his leg bone. =0 Mean, but she do alot worse- and she could make it better if things did come through and no body was there to help. >.>;; Yes, she had no medical Healing- magic... but the fox did had medical knowledge as far as things went. And ever since her accident with Shinzou- it's reminded her that things could accidentally happen... no?
But that is all for now... considering something so small could change alot. =3

(( Sorry about your fish, Hatsume-chan, but I'm happy you got your medicine. smile ))
[2/5]
There was a flash of movement, and Okojo felt his blade cut through the air. His eyes widened for a moment, and then he smiled, though he could see that the little fox had moved close to him for a reason. He was still smiling, even as he shifted his weight. He wasn't about to kick at her- he'd fall over on his own. No, instead, he shifted his sword hand, not coming down to attack or moving to harm Hatsume in a way. He had a feeling he needed to move, and so he moved back a bit.
He felt a stinging sensation and realized he'd just barely missed a more potent attack, one of the legs of his Hakama torn and his leg bleeding from a deep scratch. The bleach-blond shinigami chuckled softly and moved in for the next attack. His blade was barely not dragging on the ground, the tip pointed down, as he shifted his weight around a little. This attack would try to knock her back more than harm, though, as he was interested to see if he could do this fight without harming his sisterly squadmate.

(( Teehee! ^^ No worries. Goldfish die early anyways... little.. maggots... And their more expensive then the longer living Cat-fishes... I have.. =0 Tell me how that is possible?!... anyways... ))
Late Edit for post number:::: 03/05 sorry! ><;
»‡«Hatsume»‡« Quick movements thrilled the fox, made her heart beat more with adrenaline as natural instincts filled in. She didn't have to think to understand that there would be speed in a battle between a Shinigami. Or even a arrancar, espada- certain hollows... It didn't matter... fighting normally ment survival. Survival ment doing anything in your ability to live or protect other so they can live. Her enhanced senses of a kitsune soul reaper were great yes? But in certain instances- it was interesting to see how easily they could backfire and betray her... such as in this one that was about to happen.
As Okojo sped back to remove himself from the harm of Hatsume, only to notice he barely escaped a much more deadly approach from her talons. It was at this moment when she missed the full strike that caught her attention. So close to the ground, blood, grass, ripped fabric, but most importantly- the build up of dried rocky dust and dirt flying up as two figures dashed and moved around. The particles of dirt and earthy dabree ((sp? My Spell Check dosen't know the word. O.o; )) easily got absorbed into her sense of smell... but being so dry; isolated and unmoister`ised ((total sp?! xD )).... it caused a upsetting effect to the sensitive vixen. Her nostrils rapidly became irritated as dirt had been inhaled and pinned within her nasal chamber. Olfactory receptors then having no escape from the wrath of such the dry nasty smell... So, as Okojo backed up and may or may not have ment to help kick up that extra particles; plus her own movements... he'd soon see the short kitsune burst out a painful sneeze and hacking. Desperate and under the thought she was in total distress or in Okojo's hands at this point in time- she'd attempt to shift her right foot against the surface of the ground and kick her aside to roll away and off to Okojo's far right... To her surprise, as she did- she felt his foot slam against her body and help her actually roll away... ninja
It wasn't as painful as she thought it would be. As she knelt keeping her blade as a shield, her mind ran across in a bewildered fashion. Hatsume's facial expression wrinkled with pain and discomfort from the lasting irritating in her nasal cavities. "...Rggh.." She didn't even sense his foot come at her, perhaps when the dirt effected her- it truly distracted all her other six-senses from working in aswell. She had to be careful not to let that happen, if she even had a choice... For now, Hatsume shook off her momentarily pondering of what went wrong, she had to try her best to ignore this irritation. She wiped her left hand from any remaining blood resuidue before attempting to wipe at her nose, but not improving anything by much. She'd have to wash it out with water or something.... Eyes kept on Okojo to make she he didn't charge at her during this minute of recovering, but his possible wait would be ended. Hatsume to endure her suffering to continue the battle, perking her ears forward she listened at the grass, the wind... refocusing herself onto the correct objects and figures; not on her sensitive-handicap. She would burst into a sudden sprint at Okojo's left side, as if attacking the grass it's self... Not knowing any kidou- the fox used what she could to her advantage; From her left palm came the well-used blue foxfire that quickly spread onto the grass in between Okojo and Hatsume. If Okojo decided to swing at her during this attack to the terrain; she'd simply curve her body around and swing her right arm around to counter his blade with her own... and continue to her original plan... =0 Unless something else went wrong.

(( My little sisters' goldfish have been alive for... over a year, now? Somewhere around there. Fat little things whee ))
[3/5]
Okojo hadn't noticed Hatsume's nasal-problems until he was already trying to knock her away. She kicked away at the right moment, and he felt her hit one leg and roll even faster off to safety. He stopped his movement, blinking a bit at her as she wiped at her nose. He looked a little apologetic, though debris in the eyes, or nose, was a common front on attacks. But that was when you were low on any other options...
The bleach-blond shinigami allowed his opponent the time to recover, feeling a little bad about the fox's sensitive nose. Soon, Hatsume-chan was back up and he smiled once more as she charged at him. He was surprised, though, at the foxfire she spread between them. He knew she had a plan of some sort, and he did his best to disrupt it, and not get caught on fire, and he moved backwards and away from her and the flame. He wasn't knowledgeable in the foxfire, and so he wasn't sure if it would spread in the grass, or if it really burned, or anything. He just assumed it would be like normal fire.
Once away, Okojo waited for his opponent to come to him once more.

Post Number 04-05
†»‡«Hatsume»‡«† Before her charge, Hatsume could see the emotional connection to Okojo's pause; to her personally- she beleived he should've attacked her while he could. It was different to her, for somebody to share sypathy in a time like this! Finally her charge was made, foxfire granted as it plastered onto the grasslands. The blue essence coiling, circling and wrapping around each strand of grass as the burning abbilites scanned and shearched; and it was certain- the grass, and fellow plant life surrounding the small blast would be targeted as a enemy. Hatsume's foxfire worked in a skillful very manipulated manner, it attacked and harmed only the things/those who she sought aggression on, otherwise it would be used for light, distraction, tricks; etc. So as apart of her plan even when Okojo had backed away and fled from any chance of getting burnt himself- the kitsune continued on her devious little tricks. The fire would act as anyother fire; Okojo was correct about this- it even raised plumed smoke as normal fire had when the interwining blades of grass shrunk and slowly began being eaten alive by the flame; allowing it to grow massively in size by each passing second. It spread not reaching itself towards Okojo, but instead; puddling to the sides as if growing wings of sorts, circling around where it focused on height and mass more then length. Hatsume kept in her content spot behind the flames with a vivid smirk on her face. The smoke would be geeting thick not just from above, but also mixed inside within the blue darking flames. If Okojo didn't do anything to try to kill them, by the next couple of minutes their width would've been probally 4 feet by 4 at most, their height reaching 5 maybe. Not as big as you thought...? Well, it did only start from a small flash from her hand, and the kitsune was young for her 'race'. Meaning she had limitations and much more to learn in her life... but enough of that; she wasn't done with her plan. If to say Okojo did try to do anything to the fire in the middle, or even now, she'd defend it hopefully by leaping through the firey energy and swiping her blade at him, where the flames that she engulfed herself in would quickly raise, halo over the short shinigami and tackle forth Okojo like a outraged bee hive. And to say if he didn't attack it? Hatsume would evently pull her body through the mass of fire, where her inhaling and breathing would allow the wonderful flames to slip through her nasal cavity and easily burn and cripple down whatever particules or dirt was stuck in there in the first place, or atleast the remaining ash would be small enough to successfully be exhaled out and blown away. .... finaly- nomore irratation. But onward to Okojo! If he backed away, moved, charged- it wouldn't matter to the shinigami. At this point, she focused to the best of her abilites to control this large mass of foxfire, and then... She sprinted into action at him. Feet pushing against the ground and ash, pads crushing into the coals and hot ruble underneathe as her body either followed, ran after- or simply even just tackled at his form in a simple attempt to swing her blade against his. She would hope to use most of her pyshical strength to turn this clash of blades into a locking postion. Turning her body and shifting her figure to the right or left, changing foot postion or doing what she needed to do in order to keep him in place. Ofcourse, there was no ganerntee that she could make him do this, or even successfully make the clash altogether! Her backup plan was there right behind her, and hopefully wouldn't scare off her 'older brother'. As the kitsune charged, so did the massive flame, running and trailing her every move until hopefully she locked blades with Okojo, which is when the fire would circle around to make sure the foe wouldn't flee from the sword clashing; if it was successful.... what was behind Hatsume would lift and curve, caressing itself around her body in hopes of striking at Okojo. =0 .... This battle was almost at a end no....? So surely. She had to hurry.

(( Gomen, Hatsu-chan. I've had a writers block of late ^^; This is probably gonna be a lame post... ))
[4/5]
Okojo eyed the flame further, trying to determine its use. She could have been using it for distraction, or an attack, but it didn't seem to be aiming for him. The smoke rising from it was starting to burn his eyes, though... He tried not to let that show as he eyed Hatsume-chan again, watering eyes watching her movements once more. A breeze came and blew the smoke into his eyes more, and he barely caught the fox's actions, his blade rose to block an attack.
There wasn't a way for him to rub at his eyes, so he let the tears collect and work to clear out the irritating obstacle. He had paused for Hatsume to clear her nose, yes, but he didn't expect the same from her to wipe at his eyes. She was obviously on a path to 'win', and he needed to keep on his toes and keep going... The sound of blades clashing together was heard, and green orbs peered at the flame growing behind Hatsume-chan. Another smirk was given.
He doubted that the flame was just going to sit there. With his loose clothing, he would be an easy target as he stood there for the fire to catch up and start on him, a graduation from grass to shinigami. He was willing to take that risk, though... He had to if he wanted to win this battle. Setting his feet in a stable position, he shifted his blade so Hatsume's was resting above it. Shifting his weight a little on his feet, he then pushed up with a force that he hoped would disarm his opponent. His blade than came to rest gently at the fox's throat.
"Hatsu-chan... It's not very nice, making the grass burn because of our battle..." He knew she could get out of this easily, but bringing things at a minor standstill was his hope. And getting the foxfire to go away so he didn't have to worry about getting yet another new uniform.

(( Same. Which isen't good. Merh. ~.~ Irritating. Hopefully some music will change that.... -drowns herself in MTH- ))
05/05 [last post of the battle]
-:¦:-Hatsume-:¦:-] Her oppenment had done a immaculate job of keeping his discomforts away from Hatsume, convincing the fox that he was withstanding the flames and their added effects quite well. How much it intrigued her as their zanpakutou slid, hit, and clashed again repeatedly. Because Okojo had failed to remove himself from the flames, the transition from the surrounding grass fire would finally flash up Okojo's body in a single quick engulfing attempt from the coiled spinning pillar. At this point the male shinigami's swift movements had caught her attention as he attempted to jerk her blade up and sunder it away from her firm grasp, but Hatsume was wary of such accidents having loosing her blade in the past which caused the match to end in the foe's favor. So how did she avoid the sneaky little move her brother had maneuvered towards her? As said in the last post, the female shinigami would constantly shift her feet and battle position according to the sword strikes and movements. As he uplifted the blade with tremendous force, the pressure surged through her hand, arm, and body like a bullet splintering through. Inhaling a large gasp simply due to that strength. Her left hand quickly struck in the Tsuka's direction, grasping the end near the Kashira; or buttcap of the zanpakutou's katana blade. Directly afterwards the raised unbalanced position of the blade would be stabilized by a wresting action of both her wrists and hands. Forcing the blade which used to be pointed up off towards the sky would now shift in a twisting motion downwards in a near clock-wise fashion. Once the Kissaki or blade's point faced towards the earth her left hand would help drive the blade towards her left as if it were in a all in one action from the point of near impasse to recovery and countering. She wouldn't expect anything less from a enemy or foe if her guard was left wide open for them to strike in at the vulnerables; so as the down-pointed blade was shifted at the left.. it struck against his swift thrust for her throat; hopefully forcing his blade off to the side and away from it's targeted point. Her heart felt itself pounding intensely, how close she was to loosing Ame. How careful she had to be in close combat, but at the same time.... she loved it. The thrill of the battle, the very danger it proposed to her with. It would seem the up-raged flames from before, whether or not they too would have a affect would suddenly die out much like how wind blew out a candle. It would happen very sudden and without warning; as if as soon as it attempted to engulf- it ruptured and died with less of a second or two. .... why? The kitsune again only had so much limited access to her abilities; and although she may have been able to sudden upraise it to burn at Okojo like a small flash fire- afterwards it wouldn't have any energy left to continue on. Her body coaxed her to charge once more, but the soul reaper kept in place, and in fact if things went successfully and as long as her fellow squad mate didn't have any thoughts on stopping her. She would step back and finally respond about his comment about the fire and the grass. "...It's like you're trying to make me into a bad guy or something. The grass will grow back, and better then the grass that didn't get burned... people do it all the time. Purposely cause wildfires to help things grow or quicker crop growth. Yeesh, I kept it in mind.... It's all good!" Her voice was nearly nervous, like that of somebody who was being accused of something wrong. ;--; .... Darn Oki-sama, why you gotta make Hatsu feel so bad..? Do you like making her sad? Is that it?

(( At least we're at the end of this one ^^; ))
[5/5]
Okojo blinked in surprise at Hatsume-chan's catching of her weapon. It had moved quickly, so that when the blade hit the side of his own, he almost lost the grip on his on zanpakuto. His blade went to the side, and almost just as another breeze stirred, the fire went out around them. It was startling to say the least, so when the Kitsune stepped back, his eyes were automatically drawn to her movement.
Hatsume's words, his Sister's words, had Okojo sighing softly. He slowly shifted forward and knelt in front of her, smiling as he looked up a little at her, now. Being at her level was meant for respect, and not to tease her about her height. "I was teasing, Hatsume-chan." The bleach-blond shinigami murmured, resting the weight of his blade across his lap. "There's no need to get defensive about it. I think it was startling me with how big it grew moreso than anything." he winked lightly. He was complimenting on her strength, even if it almost sounded like he was speaking to a small child.
"Forgive me for sounding harsh, Hatsume-chan?"

Winner: Okojo
Okojo: you have some issues with fragments or small grammar issues (commas and such), but they happen very rarely. Spelling problems were minimal, and overall it was very fluent.
Hatsume: there are a lot of fragments in your writing, especially since you have a tendency to be very descriptive, thus forgetting the verbs (passive: was, were, etc.). Also, your syntax at times was extremely confusing and I had to re-read sentences a few times before I understood what you were trying to say. You should be careful of using similar words that can't be used in the same form (lose vs. loose and such). Otherwise, your description was all there.
