-- Each RPer will make 5 posts, not counting the intro post.
-- Each post (not OOCs) must have at least 3 lines (in size 12).
-- NO Shikai is allowed.
-- Only Kidous up to level 10 can be used.
-- NO Shumpo is allowed.
-- Not posting for more than 3 consecutive days - after making the intro post - results in immediate loss of the match. - Unless the RPer has warned (accurately and in advance) that he/she will be unable to post for a certain period of time, in which case he/she will be granted that same period to be inactive (not counting for the 3 days limit).
-- Not posting for more than 7 consecutive days prior to making the intro post results in immediate loss of the match. - Exceptions do apply in the same manner as stated in the above point. The area is a large leveled plain. There are some patches of dirt and rocks, but most of it is a grassy field. It's a sunny day, with mild temperature and wind. This is a remote and isolated field, so no other "living" being can be seen for miles.

[Introductory Post]
The mild breeze skimmed the tips of the grass as Hinata approached the field. She paused as she entered, surveying her surroundings, and noticed the absence of her opponent, Yuki.
"Eh...? And I thought I was late..." she remarked, climbing a large boulder to get a better view of the field. She would much rather have stayed in her quarters and slept, but owing to Harikaze's sense of duty, she had been forced from her lazy routine to take part in this seating tournament.
"Ah well, I'd better just wait for her to come, then."

[Intro Post.]
As a slight breeze blew a young female shinigami slowly walked up to the area she'd soon be fighting on. As she walked her graceful steps lightly pressed against the grassy field. A figure standing on a rock slowly came into view, "I hope Hinata hasn't been waiting long," Yuki said with a smile. As she got ther Yuki bowed to her opponent, "I'm sorry for my lateness. My name is Yuki Masayoshi and I shall be your opponent today." Still smiling Yuki took her Shiranui-ryu Iai stance.

Hinata acknowledged the other shinigami with a friendly nod.
"It's okay! I'm Hinata Kazuki, pleased to meet you!" She grinned, unsheathing her blade with a metallic c***k and swiftly leaping off the rock.
"Well, shall we begin?" The young girl's Reiatsu flared as she stepped towards Yuki, her eyes narrowing warily. Deciding to analyse her enemy's strength first, she darted to the left of her opponent, taking a quick swipe at Yuki's weak side.
Almost simultaneously, Hinata chanted: "Hadou No. 4, Byakurai!" A shot of white energy was released, aimed at Yuki's back. She sighed in relief; the spell had been released relatively normal; it had not exploded at least.

Hearing the chant and seeing the blade Yuki brought her saya up to guard from the swipe. In the same motion she unsheathed her sword with only her right hand and brought it over her right shoulder to take most of the Hadou's blast. However the back of her kimono was burned off a bit and her back was burned a little too, however by catching her enemy's blade with the saya and not her own blade. Yuki was able to bring her sword back around from over her right shoulder and aim it right for Hinata's left shoulder.

Seeing her adversary's sword come slashing down towards her shoulder, Hinata twisted her zanpaktou from under Yuki's sheath and parried her blow with relative ease. A metallic clang rang through the air as their blades met.
"You'll have to try harder than that to get me," the shinigami commented with a knowing smile. She then flipped backwards, landing a few metres from where Yuki stood.
"At this point, I should say 'Your move', but unfortunately, I can't take that risk," Hinata said, grinning, before leaping into the air to bring her zanpaktou swishing down to meet her opponent's.

Having kept her legs in her Shiranui-ryu Iai stance position Yuki had been able to keep her low sense of gravity. Which was the key to her lightning speed style of fighting. As Hinata jumped in to the air, Yuki begins to chant, "Disintegrate, black dog of Rondaniini. Look upon your burning soul and sever your throat," under her breath while jumping to the left. As her opponent's blade makes contact with the spot she'd just been Yuki smiles, lifts her left hand into the air and says "Bakudou #9 –Geki" ("Strike"). As the words leave her mouth a red light begins to surround Hinata, which is designed to restricts movement.

Unable to avoid the oncoming kidou, Hinata was engulfed in the paralyzing red light. She fell to the ground with a dull thud, emitting reiatsu in bright green flames around her feet as she struggled against the spell's force.
'Stop, think,' she told herself, and regaining control over her reiryoku, focused it on the kidou surrounding her. With a snap, she felt the invisible restraints dissipate, and her limbs were free to move once more.
After regaining her posture, the young shinigami flipped her zanpaktou around to allow her to grip it properly. She raised her eyes to meet Yuki's.
'Hmm. I think I have analysed her well enough,' she thought with a devil-like grin. Her eyes narrowed as she spied a rock next to where her opposition stood, which could serve as useful leverage.
Hinata dug her heels into the grass and shot off, sword poised to strike. First slashing at Yuki's side to distract her, she followed through with a spinning kick at her throat while her sword whipped up to meet Yuki's left arm, before attempting to sweep at her opponent's feet from underneath.
At this point, she had already retreated until her heel met solid rock. She kicked off the base of the rock, propelling herself forward with alarming speed, her blade taking a swipe at what she hoped would be Yuki's back.

While Hinata was trapped in the Bakudou Yuki concentrated her reiatsu into her arms and legs. Yuki watched as Hinata brake out of her Kido, 'I never expected that to hold her.' Standing up straight Yuki held her sword in her right hand only watch Hinata as she began her assalt Yuki blocked her first attack which was aimed at Yuki's left side. Then came a spin kick, Yuki was sure Hinata had more attacks but instead of finding out what they were as Hinata's kick landed Yuki throw herself back with some of the reiatsu she'd stored in her legs earlier.
Holding her throat with her left hand as she stood up Yuki realized she'd been off just a little on her timing as the kick had made contact a bit. 'I've got to be more careful if I'd been off anymore that could have been bad' She thought bringing her hand from her throat. "Your better than I expected."

The female shinigami skidded to a halt as her blade swept through thin air due to Yuki's timely jump.
"Glad to hear it," Hinata replied to her opponent's comment, inclining her head. She scrutinised the enemy, frowning.
'She doesn't seem to be compelled to retaliate... Ah, I see. She's more of the dodging type,' she observed, while her brain whirred in order to come up with a plan in par with this new information, and grimaced when it came. She had never liked dirty trickery, and there was a chance it wouldn't work due to her abysmal kidou skills.
Raising her palm, she chanted: "Hadou No. 1, Sho!" A fireball of white energy was emitted from her hand, heading not for Yuki, but for the rock next to her which she had used previously. As she stream of light made contact with the rock, it shattered with a colossal bang, fragmented stone and dirt whipping up to create an impenetrable cloud of dust. The screen obscured Hinata's vision, but more importantly, the vision of her target.
Not wanting to charge through the dust cloud, the shinigami leapt into the air once more, this time soaring over her opponent and attacking from behind with a vociferous slash.

Seeing something jump from the cloud of dust Yuki herself jumped up on a path to intercept her opponents path, her blade over her left shoulder ready to strike. "Your a tricky one miss Hinata." Yuki said aiming a slash across Hinata's stomach. She was sure it'd hit since the two of them were in the air. Yuki planned a kick aimed for Hinata's chest behind her if Hinata tried to dodge the slash by forcing reiatsu through her feet to propel herself a little further and faster.

Catching a glimpse of Yuki’s sword whipping up to meet her stomach, Hinata did something wholly unexpected that could have cost her a leg if she had mistimed it. Instead of dodging the attack (which she knew would not work due to their unfortunate position in mid-air), the shinigami gathered reiryoku in her feet, landing on the tip of her adversary’s blade and simultaneously flinging out an arm to block Yuki’s kick.
She was not so lucky as to avoid getting hurt, however. Her wrist produced a sickening crunch as it gave way- presumably to her opponent’s foot that had landed on it. Despite the pain, Hinata did not allow anything to deter her from her goal. Pinning Yuki’s zanpaktou down with her feet, she allowed reiryoku to accumulate in the tips of her fingers.
“I’ve never been very skilled with kidou,” she commented tonelessly, “but such weaknesses can become advantageous when you use them properly.” Slowly and deliberately, the young shinigami placed her hands together, directly facing Yuki’s chest.
“Hadou No. 4, Byakurai!” she yelled, intentionally forcing more energy through her arms, so there was no chance the spell could not go wrong. As a gigantic mass of spiritual energy beamed from her palm and exploded, Hinata kicked off her enemy’s zanpaktou. Her figure arced backwards through the dust-filled air and landed with a dull thud on the remains of the previously destroyed rock. Before her was a slowly dispersing stream of smoke which the blast had left.
The soot-covered girl was aching and drained of reiryoku from her reckless attack, but she drew a small satisfaction from the fact that, without shunpo, it was impossible to avoid such a violent explosion at point-blank range. Even she, the caster, had not been able to dodge it quickly enough- the tips of her toes were singed as a result, in spite of the fact that it had been shooting in the opposite direction. Hinata stood with a grim expression, waiting to see the effect on its target.

As Hinata's reiryoku gathered at her finger tip Yuki realized what her opponent was about to do. Unfortunately she also realized it would be impossible to dodge so sh did the only thing she could do, gather her own reiryoku into her chest to weaken the blow.
Even with the Hadou's weakened impact it had still sent Yuki flying and broken at least two or three ribs, but she was still conscious. With harbored breathes Yuki looked at Hinata and smiled. "Nether of us can take much more of this but then again we both are still standing so lets finish this." Yuki winced as she retook the Shiranui-ryu Iai stance and charged Hinata. The speed of her attacks was drastically less than before due to her injuries but she was still able to pull off her opening twin diagnol strikes across the chest and back from right shoulder to left hip and back again. The last strike she preformed was a reverse dou, or strike to the left rib area, before falling to her knees and passing out from the pain. She was surprised she'd been able to move through that attack she didn't even know if the strikes landed on their marks or not.

Winner: Hinata.
Yuki: be careful of using similar words. I especially noticed moments when you used "your" but "you're" would have been the proper one. There are times when you have run-on sentences, or you cut off a sentence abruptly and finish the idea in a different sentence. This creates a lot of fragments, so try using commas, conjunctions, and/or semi-colons.
Hinata: You have very few grammatical issues, and your writing style suggests that you probably read a fair number of "classics" (since more modern books tend to have more grammatical issues). Also, I am tempted to say that you are probably from a non-U.S. English speaking country. With that said, there are times when you need to remember an "ly" at the end, or be mindful of how you're breaking up sentences (commas, fragments, etc.) but those are few and far between.
