Thali had taken her hyperactive twins to the park, after a rather long day of driving. Josh had had a friend to go visit, and so... well, you can guess what happened. Said friend lived all the way in Aekea. As it was, the two girls were running around the park, looking for someone to play with--as their mother sat and watched them. She'd been tired lately, unusual for the elf.
"Sammi, don't jump off the slide." She said, standing up. The trouble maker of the two, and the friendliest, was the hardest to keep track of. She was always doing something.
"I not!" The freckled toddler said, giving her mother a sunny smile. She sat on the slide and slid down. Reiya was busy under the big toy.
"Play 'Ouse?" She asked, looking at Thali.
Thali sighed. Why was no one at the park when they were?

Maru rode her bike up to the park with her little girl, Natalie sitting happily in the basket at the front of her bike. She came to a stop next to a tree and picked up Natalie from the basket. She leaned her bike against a tree and looked around the park. "Wow, it's deserted." She said glancing around. There was almost nobody there. "Momeee!" Natalie cried, squirming in her mother's arms, "I wanna pway!!" Maru sighed and started walking towards some of the toys. "Let's see if there's anyone to play with." She told Natalie. Truth be told Maru had wanted to come to the park and let Natalie play with the other kids so she could take a mintue to relax. Natalie could really be a handful sometimes.

Sammi went down the slide once more, and spotted a girl around her age or a little younger. She smiled brightly, and toddled over to her. "Hi!" She said cheerfully. "Wat oor name? I Sammi."
Reiya heard her sister talking to someone, and poked her head out from behind the slide. "Hi!" She said warmly, waving. "I Weiya." She smiled, and toddled out from her 'house'. "We play?" She asked.
Thali recognized someone, and went over to them. "Maru!" She said happily. "How are you? I haven't seen you since.." She paused, and looked around the park. "And that must be Natalie! She's beautiful."

Natalie bobbed up and down in Maru's arms, her short brown hair bobbing with her. "Wanna pway Momeee! Wanna pway!" She said. Maru set her down. "Have fun Natty!" she said smiling.
Natalie smiled and waved at Sammi and Reiya. "Hi I Natawie." She said happily. "Ya! We pway!" Natalie happily folowed Reiya into her 'house'.
Maru recognized Thali as Thali walked over to her. "Hello Thali!" Maru said smiling. "Yep, that's Natalie. I'll introduce you once they're done playing." Maru said smiling. "How have you and your family been?"

Reiya smiled, and looked to her friend. "Dis our 'ouse." She said, giving the wisest nod a toddler could. "Ooo be Mommy, I be Daddy. Sammi be baby."
Sammi didn't seem to like this arrangement at all. "I nuh a baby!" She complained, stomping a pink sneakered foot. "I nuh a baby!" She repeated, frowning. "Ooo a baby!"
Reiya blew a rather long, and rude raspberry at her sister. Clearly, that settled the matter. Both girls glared at each other, before Sammi sat on the ground and grumbled. "I nuh a baby."

Natalie looked at Sammi sitting on the floor. "She nuh a baby, she a . . a . ." Natalie stuttered, trying to think, "she a teenaber." She said, happy that she remembered the word.

Reiya frowned slightly. "Kay, Sammi a teenaber." She agreed reluctantly. But then who would be the baby? Every game of house needed at least one baby. And then she got an idea. There were two adults, and they weren't playing. They could be the babies!
"Mommy an Natawie's Mommy be baby." She said, before she walked out from behind the slide and made her way over to the adults. Sammi was right behind them, giving that trademark sunny smile of hers. "Ooo be baby." She told them, with a nod.
"Mommy baby, Mommy baby!" Sammi sang.
Thali looked from her friend to her daughters, before smiling. "Well, now seems like a good time to introduce you to them. This one's Sammi." She pointed to the freckled toddler with pigtails. "And the other is Reiya." She gestured to the one with straight hair, and looked more like her mother.

"Hello Sammi, hello Reiya!" Maru said waving at each girl in turn. "This is Natalie," Maru said, pointing to her daughter. "Natalie, this is Sammi and Reiya's mom, Thali." "Hi!" Natalie said, smiling. "Momeee, be babwy?" Natalie asked, turning to Maru. Maru glanced at Thali. "Sure, I'll be a baby. What about you Thali?"

Sammi returned Maru's wave, and gave the woman a smile. "Hi, baby." She said, by way of greeting. "Ooo good baby, or bad baby?" She asked, almost sounding suspecious. Gasp! Mommies could be bad babies if they wanted too, and that would be bad.
Reiya looked at her mother expectantly, not saying anything.
Thali eventually gave in, and grinned at her friend. "Well, I'm in if you are." She said, a challenging glint in her eyes. "Bet I'm a better baby than you are!"

Maru grinned at Thali. "No way you'll be a better baby than me!" Maru said. "Babwy go ouse!" Natalie said, grabbing Maru's hand. "Come wif me babwy." Natalie was clearly enjoying ordering Maru around.

Thali was about to retort when Sammi took her hand. "'Ouse now, baby." She said, rather bossily. (Wonder which parent she got that from..) The toddler led her mother to their 'house' behind the bright yellow slide. "'Ome on baby." She said, she was enjoying this chance to tell her mother what to do.
Reiya followed after her sister and mother, smiling. This would be fun.

As Natalie took Maru into the 'house' she made Maru sit on the floor. "Babwy stay!" Natalie said sternly and then went back into the grass. Natalie grabbed a hand full of Dandelions and grass and brought it to Maru. "Babwy hungy, babwy eat!" Natalie said, putting the grass on Maru's lap. "I'd really rather not. . ." Maru began only to be interupted by Natalie. "Nooo babwy has to talk wike babwy, not wike mommy." Maru groaned. 'Why did I agree to this?' She thought while starring at the grass she was supposed to eat.

Thali chuckled at her friend's expression. "Yeah, Maru. You gotta talk like a baby." She said, before Sammi frowned at her.
"Baby nuh be good baby if no talk wike baby." She said. Thali frowned, now this wasn't quite as fun, she couldn't make fun of her friend if she had to do the same think!
"Fine." She said, before looking at Maru curiously. "I show you how eat." She said, taking a handful of grass from the other woman's lap and pretending to eat it. "Mmmm."

Maru copied Thali and picked up a hadful of grass pretending to eat it. "mmm nummy!" Maru said "Wha babwys do now?" She asked, looking at the three girls.

Thali was distracted, she'd noticed someone. Her ears were twitching, her eyes veering from side to side. She frowned slightly, and motioned to the left. She knew the person. She gave her friend a frightened look. "Let's pause the game, alright, girls?" She asked.
Sammi and Reiya exchanged looks, before nodding. They peeked out from behind the slide. "Guy." Sammi stated, pointing out the obvious. "Blon guy."
