Welcome to the OOC thread for Task Force Resolve. As you can see all the developmental stuff that was at the head of this is gone, since the RP is now built and functioning (Or if you're reading this before Wed. July 15th, it will be soon).
Talk, complain, complain, and complain if that's how you role. Say whats on your mind as a Player not a Character, that's what this is for after all.

Playing a pilot, I can do, but what about playing a bridge officer or some other type of lesser command officer on the Imp-star. What time zone is this to take place in?

1 ABY Is when I've tentatively placed the time frame, so about two years before Hoth.
I was going to have the Bridge Officers and Flight Coordinator under my control so I could direct the battle. Maybe the gunnery posts would be available, but for most people on the bridge they report to the captain and follow the captain's instructions not that much of an opportunity to RP.
The boarding team for the Assault Shuttle would be an interesting slot to fill though. Unfortunately we eliminated the stormtroopers on the ship so you'd have to do some on the spot training to learn to use the zero-g stormtrooper suits but even outside of them I'd think we'd be searching out the best combat personnel for that job because they'd double as the ship's security section.
We had stormtroopers for that job previously.

I'd be interested in either being a pilot or Navy soldier.

I recomend players having both an Enlisted character and a Commissioned Character, allowing them to partake in command functions as well as get more down and dirty with shooting and fighter piloting.
And a rogue Star Destroyer would probably deserve major attention by the Navy. Expect to be chased by no less than a Star Cruiser and accompanying vessels.

Nelo... be prepared to be called Bones. smile
So we got a navy trooper. Considering internal security was previously provided by the Stormtroopers, maybe he was a gunnery officer before the stomtroopers tried to mutiny.
Now, all Alien species are open. I'd even encourage aliens.
The Imperial Star Destroyer Revolt was a dumping ground for unwanted personnel by naval command. Which means if you were a woman, or an alien you ended up assigned here. Approximately 70% of the crew is either female, alien, or both. The remaining 30% are human males. So I'd say that about 60% of the crew is human with a 50-50 male female ratio. The remaining 40% are aliens any alien species will do.
Maybe Nelo could be a Givin, then we could really call him bones. BTW the Captain of this ship is a female twi'lek. A very pissy female twi'lek who will smack you if you suggest that she slept her way to command. Actually the decision to promote her to captain is what triggered the ISB to arrest the Admiral in charge of the squadron.
The opening crawl for this RP is actually going to be an Order of the Day from the Brevet Commadore, Captain of the Resolve, it reads:
From: Brevet Commander Task Force Resolve To: All Crew of the Imperial Task Force Subject: Withdrawal from Imperial Service
Following the unlawful arrest of Rear Admiral Dret Sibel, the Captains of the Imperial Star Destroyer Resolve, Carrack Cruiser Mantell Delight, and Corellian Corvettes ITS-4829-A and ITS-4829-B held a meeting by holocomm to discuss means of protesting the Admiral's arrest by the Imperial Security Bureau. Apparently the communication was tapped and members of the crew with ties to the ISB as well as the Resolve's stomtrooper contingent staged a mutiny and attempted to place the captains under arrest.
The mutiny against the captains was crushed by loyal crew members and the task force has entered hyperspace hoping to meet up in a quiet system to discuss further plans. It is evident we can no longer continue to serve as members of the Imperial armed forces, their corruption and deceit toward us and their willingness to violate the very laws they swore to uphold make it clear that we can no longer serve alongside them with a clear conscience.
Therefore we withdraw now from imperial service. All personnel are no longer required to follow imperial regulations, and are encouraged to discard imperial symbology and uniforms in their dress. We as command staff do request that rank placards be retained to insure a proper chain of command remains in place. You are to report all suspicious activity to your commanding officer. Those who wish to remain in imperial service are asked to declare such intentions. We'll give you a shuttle to and allow you to depart, no questions asked.
Sincerely, Brevet Commodore, Captain of the ISD Resolve Pala'al'kina

Initially I think I was going to have a couple fights against some Tectors, Imperators, and Victories as openers. We'll move up to that. Do I need to make some stats for a Titan-class Star Cruiser so you'd know what to expect from a Star Cruiser?

Nelowulf why wroonian? And if it was plausible to believe, I'd try a blood carver, but it's out of the question.. Because in my old game book Wroonians can have a 4D+2 Mechanical stat witch makes them damn good pilots. Habit I guess.

In the beginning there were 37,000 crew members and 9,700 Stormtroopers. After the mutiny we're down to 13,200 crew members. Imperial doctrine required 3 pilots per ship to allow for immediate launch of fighters despite 8 hour crew rotations, but most TIE pilots are as crazy about the empire as compforce so we'll be down to around 30 TIE pilots. Only the smart ones survived though smile
EK, did I mention we carry 5 XG-1 Assault Gunboats standard?
So total compliment: Crew 13K of 37K established Pilots 30 of ~300 established 5 XG-1 Assault Gunboats 48 TIE/ln Starfighters 12 TIE/sa Bombers 12 TIE/sr Scouts 15 Delta-class Stormtrooper Transports 8 Lambda Shuttles 1 Assault Shuttle 12 Sentinel-class Landing Craft 2 Skipray Blastboats
Pilots I hope you know how to use the ejection seat on your boats cause I bet we may go throw quite a few fighters, but I'd rather not go through many pilots.

My primary will be Stellar's right hand, depending on who he plays
My secondary will be the leader of that XG-1 Squadron. Captain-ranked, right?

Squadron Leader... which is the starfighter command's equivalent of a lieutenant commander.
