I Need a Hero...or Villain
A Tektek & Avatar Contest Superheros and Supervillains have mingled their way into our lives at some point or another. Many of the heroes/villains we've seen have become almost iconic and have such devote following surrounded by them.
Well, now it's your turn to shine in the spotlight! So grab your cape, cowl, mask, and gadgets and let your powers shine! It's your turn to give it a try at the hero (or villain) business!
Note: This is not a contest to dress like heroes/villains that are copyrighted, so entries of characters from DC, Marvel, Image, Darkhorse, and other comic companies will not be accepted. Also, don't venture into manga territory either. Though superheros/villains are not common in manga, I don't want to excluded published ones out from what will not be allowed as an entry.
This contest will allow you to have two different entries: one Tektek and one real avatar entry. (Maybe, if we have time or if enough people ask for it, you can add in your secret identity with your entry)
In order to become a hero (or to become a villain) you've got a bit of criteria to meet. Look to this link for help in how you create both your identities. Now...Which side will you choose?

Real Avatar Entries:Entry #01 -- MCRomance09
 Superhero/Supervillain name: Cave dweller, dark shadow, monster. He has many names given to him by the people in the area who have seen him.
So, are you a villain or hero?: Villain
Got any powers or special abilities?: Runs fast, jumps far, pretty strong.
What about gadgets? What do they do?: He has a scythe for a weapon and his bats.
Describe your costume and if anything on it symbolizes anything: All dark to represent darkness and death.
Have a day job? What is it?: No day job. He lives in caves in the mountains and only comes out at night or on rainy days.
How old are ya'?: Ummm centuries old. xD
Got a catch-phrase or a quote you use?: No phrases. He rarely speaks.
Entry #02 -- Gothichearts
 Superhero/Supervillain name: Bunny
So, are you a villain or hero?: Villain
Got any powers or special abilities?: The ability to make children sleep and one day a year she is able to be invisible to adults. She is a thief who takes advantage of her invisibility on that day to steal diamonds, money and all the eggs and candy in the house! She also has the uncanny ability to escape blame for her actions (the children always get blamed for any mess she makes, and the food and other things that are missing.)
What about gadgets? What do they do?: She has a basket full of little monster pets who will attack anything that gets in her way. She also has a wand she stole from an old elf that turns adults into children, but only for a few minutes, (she still hasnt learned how to make the wand work the way she wants it to) then she can make them fall asleep, giving her time to escape. She also had a lime pop ring that shoots sticky candy on the ground, rooting humans family pets in place to give her time to escape.

Have a day job? What is it?: No day job. She lives in a rabbit hole and eats her spoils from Easter Sunday!
How old are ya'?: As old as time, but still as healthy as a child!
Got a catch-phrase or a quote you use: "Mwahahaha!" , "Cheep!" , "Ooh, something shiny!"
Entry #03 -- Dustytuft
 Superhero/Supervillain name: Kumoki
So, are you a villain or hero?: I'm a hero! Though most people call me a rookie...
Got any powers or special abilities?: When I open my parasol, I can fly, control the wind, and my right eye I can have x-ray vision or watch people's dreams.
What about gadgets? What do they do?: My parasol gives me all of my powers. When I open it, its cloth wraps around me in a weightless dress to hide my real clothes. When I first opened it, it jabbed my right eye, so I guess that explains why it's special now. My mask is just so no one knows who I am, hehe! I actually bought the parasol from a museum's gift shop in a different country. They said later there will be the grand opening for finding what is supposed to be a goddess's parasol (Kumoki's, so that's what my hero name is after), and the nice cashier at the gift shop gave me this fake one early! (I think he thought I looked cute; he was about my age...) It's so pretty, don't you think?
Describe your costume and if anything on it symbolizes anything: I wear mostly white and sky blue to represent goodness, and wind. All of the elegant wisps of wind and how I can fly represents beauty in woman's rights, and how I can beat you up is to show that we're not all flowers and cupcakes, that we can fight too, and be serious in what we do. (hey, that rhymed! Hehe :3)
Have a day job? What is it?: I'm actually in High school...
How old are ya'?: 16 (Which is why they call me rookie.)
Got a catch-phrase or a quote you use?: "Oh, brother." , "I am the breeze you feel on your face!" (<--If they ask "who's there".), "Seriously??" , "Alright, this rocks!"

So, are you a villain or hero?: Mercenary I go to the highest bidder. (usually evil)
Got any powers or special abilities?: Extreme weapons master.
What about gadgets? What do they do?: My gadgets and my weapons, they cut, hack, slash, and bash.
Describe your costume and if anything on it symbolizes anything: My costume is made of parts and pieces of enemies I have slain.

 Superhero/Supervillain name: Nightmare Hotaru
So, are you a villain or hero?: Villain
Got any powers or special abilities?: She has the ability to turn people's sweet dreams into an unforgettable nightmare when she plays her melody of sadness on her guitar at midnight. These nightmares would haunt the dreamer for the rest of their lives.
What about gadgets? What do they do?: The guitar she carries is used to produce her sad melody, which ruins people's dreams and turns them into nightmares. The Scottie beside her [named Pi] helps detect people who contains sweet dreams. The crow on her head [named Mo] assists and protects her when someone tries to interfere during the playing of the melody of sadness.
Describe your costume and if anything on it symbolizes anything: The color purple on her costume represents the gloominess, sadness, and frustration that she experienced ever since she was a child, which resulted in her becoming a villain. The color black represents evil and the bad luck that she brings to people around her. Her costume can blend into the dark night, so people wouldn't be able to see her clearly. This also shows that she is a mysterious person.
Have a day job? What is it?: She is a high school student, and has a part time job at the local bookstore.

Describe your costume and if anything on it symbolizes anything: it symbolizes my cuteness and my evilness!!!!!

Entry #07 -- Ingou
 Superhero/Supervillain name: Morning Star
So, are you a villain or hero?: Hero
Got any powers or special abilities?: She has skills in fencing and other forms of swordplay, quick-witted, able to fly, able to form [extremely small scale] stars, skilled in most forms of hand-to-hand combat and various martial arts. Her powers of flight and her strength are increased when she is exposed to natural light, though she is capable of fighting at night as well (She can be a bit weak during the new moon)
What about gadgets? What do they do?: Her sword, Shining Dawn, was forged from a dying star and is relatively strong and glows faintly when sun rise is near. The gloves she wears helps her deflect and counter physical encounters. There is a little pouch on each glove that contains an extremely fine dust, which she uses to forge her stars. Her tiara can magnify natural light to blind foes.
Describe your costume and if anything on it symbolizes anything: Mostly made up of golds, whites, and light blues that symbolize the morning. She was also born into royalty on her home planet, the colors she wears being that of her family's branch. The necklace she wears has a pendant in the shape of a sun which was given to her by the elders of her planet before she left for Earth.
Have a day job? What is it?: She's an assistant at an observatory
How old are ya'?: She looks 28, though her age is roughly 1,138 years old (or at least, on her home planet that would be her age)
Got a catch-phrase or a quote you use?: "Sometimes wishing upon a star does make your dreams come true!" , "Shining Dawn, show light to their sins!" , "You cannot hide from the light that justice shines upon you!"
Entry #08 -- PurpleAngel2God
 Superhero/Supervillain name: Wolf Lordess
So, are you a villain or hero?: Villain
Got any powers or special abilities?: Fights with swords, sees in the dark, can jump great distances, has superhuman speed, howls like a wolf that can shatter glass, superhuman strength and can call on a pack of wolves anywhere for help.
What about gadgets? What do they do?: swords that are razor sharp and a dog collar that when thrown at something/someone can slice/smash to pieces.
Describe your costume and if anything on it symbolizes anything: All black outfit to blend into the night, dog collar to cause extreme damage and a mask to hide identity.
Have a day job? What is it?: No, sleep during day and come out at night to pillage valuables and cause mayhem with the other "dogs in town"
How old are ya'?: teens

Entry #09 -- Lost the Grasp of Life
 Superhero/Supervillain name: Groctor
So, are you a villain or hero?: Villain
Got any powers or special abilities?: This man was on of the greatest scientists known. Then he tried to create an injection to cure cancers of any type. He tested it on bunnies (he kind of has a thing for mice and rodents of the sort) and it worked, but then they began to mutate and he caused the Grunny G-Virus outbreak. After that, he lost everything. This took a heavy toll on him and made him go half-insane. He ended up injecting himself with the G-virus, making him somewhat of a superhuman. He then injected his pet hamsters and let them loose in the sewers. He goes around injecting animals (mainly small rodents) and creating an army of G-virus infected animals. He implanted metal rods in his brain that collect electricity which powers up his telekinetic abilities so he can control his army of mutant animals. He dreams of taking over the world.
What about gadgets? What do they do?: Syringe- to infect other things; Brain Rods- to amplify his control over the animals; Animals- his minion army
Describe your costume and if anything on it symbolizes anything: A mad scientist style labcoat, cuz he's a madscientist (now anyway)
Have a day job? What is it?: No real job, he just sits plotting revenge against humanity and creating ways to be stronger and get more animals
How old are ya'?: he is now immortal thanks to the large amount of virus he injected into himself

 Superhero/Supervillain name: Aguirre
So, are you a villain or hero?: Hero / Villain, depending on his mood.
Got any powers or special abilities?: He can fly and his body grows to 7 feet tall and can turn to ice and then he can shoot ice daggers from his eyes.
What about gadgets? What do they do?: His scythe and sword can slice you up. His cape, which was given to him by his father, gives him his icy powrs.
Describe your costume and if anything on it symbolizes anything: The black and white wings symbolize his dual personality between good and evil. The cape represents his ability to turn to ice. The red silk shirt represents his secret appreciation for bright colors and his desperate desire to be loved.
Have a day job? What is it?: He is a photographer for a national magazine.
How old are ya'?: 22

 Superhero/Supervillain name: Gentleman
So, are you a villain or hero?: Hero
Got any powers or special abilities?: No powers or Abilities. Just skills I guess. He is very skillful in fencing and horse riding.
What about gadgets? What do they do?: A fencing sword and a white horse who he loves to ride to get to places.
Describe your costume and if anything on it symbolizes anything:
He is 19th century hero and has long black hair he wears in a ponytail but wears the powdered wigs of the 18th century and fancies some of the clothing of the 18th century which he uses for his disguise. He wears a lot of white to symbolize purity and the gold to symbolize riches.
Have a day job? What is it?: He owns a railroad company.
How old are ya'?: Ummm maybe between 36 to 40.
Got a catch-phrase or a quote you use?: "It's never too late to be a gentleman." , "Chivalry will never die." , "A gentleman always gets the girl."

 Superhero/Supervillain name: Busy Man
So, are you a villain or hero?: Not sure... Depends on the situation (if I'm late or not)
Got any powers or special abilities?: I'm an expert in hand to hand combat, martial arts, &... Oh,I can never be on time (people get so upset about that isn't that weird?)
What about gadgets? What do they do?: Thanks to my job I've been able to get my hands on titanium arms which gives me an extra punch & boots that allow me to fly (but no one knows that).
Describe your costume and if anything on it symbolizes anything: I'm too busy to change into a costume & the tie represents the average hard working man (like myself)

 Superhero/Supervillain name: Armilius the Duellist
So, are you a villain or hero?: Hero
Got any powers or special abilities?: It is mentioned that he has no abilities or special powers. But he does not have to rely on them, while he has companions. Lady Haart [ the LadyBug] has the power to heal all injuries. Armilius' Scepter has a magical force which can withstand an attack and deflect the attack back to it's user. In his Bag there is a whistle which is used to call upon creatures from afar to attack the enemy. The shoes he has on his feet make him 'too hot to handle' and unable to see because of how quick he is.
What about gadgets? What do they do?: The whistle, Magical Scepter, Slick Shoes and Lady Haart.. [all mentioned above.]
Describe your costume and if anything on it symbolizes anything: His costume symbolizes his race and family. It is said that he was born in a separate solar system on a planet called Balsiscul.
Have a day job? What is it?: He works as a waiter undercover in the day at the local restaurant.
How old are ya'?: He is kept secret. But historical photographs state that he is over 500 years of age.

 Superhero/Supervillain name: Pastry Pilferer (also called Confection Corsair in newspapers)
So, are you a villain or hero?: Villain
Got any powers or special abilities?: Split-personality, degree in chemistry and biochemistry, sarcasm, flexibility due to taking ballet and gymnastics when she was younger, has a tendency to be flirty
What about gadgets? What do they do?: Confections and sweets that she's experimented on (animated food), Cherry-bombs/Jelly-booms (types of bombs), candy ropes, cocoa power (acts like a smokescreen), bubblegum that (when inflated) can float an object or person up to 115 pounds, bubblegum and frosting explosives, Fondue Glue, other food-related weapons
Describe your costume and if anything on it symbolizes anything: The apron is from her job, but everything else she wears is to make escape easier. She sometimes carries a basket that holds some of the confections she's experimented on or wears her experiments. The eye-patch she wears brings out her split-personality and typically wears it when she has a problem with her left eye from a past lobotomy procedure from a doctor in a mental hospital she went to when she was younger.
Have a day job? What is it?: Part-time worker in a pastry shop

Got a catch-phrase or a quote you use?: Uses puns or word-play with food - "Cherry-bombs away!" , "I bid you adieu with some fondue!" , etc.

So, are you a villain or hero?: Villain
Got any powers or special abilities?: He prefers hand to hand combat with his sword and scythe, but if necessary, he uses his mind to create lava by melting the earth around him and use it to destroy his enemies.
What about gadgets? What do they do?: Just his scythe and sword, and his mind.
Describe your costume and if anything on it symbolizes anything: The "costume" is the official garment of the Shadow Brotherhood, which is an evil secret society where he comes from... the planet Bagon.
Have a day job? What is it?: His regular day job is a shoe repair man, but he moonlights as a bodyguard for the Brotherhood delegates from his home planet.
How old are ya'?: He is old by Bagon years, 374, but by Earth years he is about 35.
Got a catch-phrase or a quote you use?: "Lets heat things up!" , "Its cobblin' time!" , "Puny human!"

 Superhero/Supervillain name: Blizzard.
So, are you a villain or hero?: Im one of the good guys!
Got any powers or special abilities?: I can fly and I have telepathy.
What about gadgets? What do they do?: I have an ice sword for battle, a crystal ice shield for protection and a scepter that fires a beam of ice crystals that will freeze any foe in his tracks. I sometimes need to use my bow and arrow that forces terminal liars to tell the truth.
Describe your costume and if anything on it symbolizes anything: I like to dress in white and light colors to let everyone know Im on the side of good, truth and justice.
Have a day job? What is it?: I work undercover in a school cafeteria in order to keep an eye on the younger generation and to help those who are destined for greatness. I also try to cleanse and enlighten those who I think are going to go to the dark side.
How old are ya'?: 24
Got a catch-phrase or a quote you use?: "Be nice or get iced!" , "Have no fear, Blizzard's here!" At school, I often find myself saying "Turn off the heater!"

So, are you a villain or hero?: Villain
Got any powers or special abilities?: Very manipulative, and can control other people to do actions they would never do.
What about gadgets? What do they do?: Her pet on her caster hypnotizes people and the victim will usually steal something for her and known to do even worse things like murdering people who prevent people from acting like a child and dreaming in life.
Describe your costume and if anything on it symbolizes anything: Just her normal day to day clothes and a sword for protection.
Have a day job? What is it?: Nope. Sleeps during the day and comes out at night to manipulate people.
How old are ya'?: Stuck at the age 17
Got a catch-phrase or a quote you use?: Not really but before she has someone do something illegal for her own entertainment she'll always tell them "you should have dreamed longer"

 Superhero/Supervillain name: Dolly
So, are you a villain or hero?: Villain
Got any powers or special abilities?: She is a born witch with magical powers (though she has not mastered all of them yet), but doesnt want to use them in public because she is afraid of starting another witch trial, with her at the stake.
What about gadgets? What do they do?: The jeweled headband she wears (which she inherited from her grandmother, who was also a witch) focuses her magic which helps to control the dolls after she animates them. She then sends the dolls out to do her evil bidding.
Describe your costume and if anything on it symbolizes anything: She wears her regular clothes in order to remain inconspicous and appear innocent while she watches her dolls carry out her nefarious plans.
Have a day job? What is it?: She works on an assembly line, making dolls. At night, she uses witchcraft to bring the dolls to life.
How old are ya'?: 23
Got a catch-phrase or a quote you use?: She is a silly girl who uses chat speak alot, even in real life. "Lol" "Brb" and OMG!" are her favorites.

 Superhero/Supervillain name:Her normal name is candy and her transformation name is candynature.
So, are you a villain or hero?:hero
Got any powers or special abilities?:most of her special abilities and powers are related to candy and nature. she can control the weather and she use the leek in her hands to produce her power.
What about gadgets? What do they do?: the little person with her is her helper. he mostly tells her want to do during battles. the 2 leeks are to help her produce magic powers. but she can produce magic without the leeks but the magic will be less powerful.
Describe your costume and if anything on it symbolizes anything: her costume is mostly made out of light colors to represent that she is a hero. her costume is mostly made out of the items that includes candy and nature such as Gogh Reed, classlike, vanilla buttercream rose and etc.
Have a day job? What is it?: she goes to high school and she works in the school cafeteria.
How old are ya'?: about her teen ages.
Got a catch-phrase or a quote you use?: she mostly says "love your life,love nature,love candy!"

So, are you a villain or hero?: Hero
Got any powers or special abilities?: I'm the Guardian of Space and Reality. I can alter the fabric of space and reality and create or destroy anything within my own will. I can make all humans have 3 eyes instead of 2. I can make 2+2=fish if I wanted. Anything that was,is, or will be, I can completely change.
What about gadgets? What do they do?: I have a sword that I rarely use, but carry around just in case.
Describe your costume and if anything on it symbolizes anything: The clothes I wear don't really symbolize much other than the fact that I'm no goddess or a powerful angel. I'm just a Guardian doing what I'm meant for.
Have a day job? What is it?: If you protecting everything that is, than yes.
How old are ya'?: As old as time and space itself.
Got a catch-phrase or a quote you use?: My quote would have to be that..Life is something precious. And in that life, you have a purpose. Whether it's for yourself or someone else. Whether you have a large destiny or just a simple heart in things. You'll have hardships throughout it, but that's what teaches you things. Without the bad times, you'll never have the good..and learn to be truely happy. Just learn to live.

Got any powers or special abilities?: Grants wishes by magic
What about gadgets? What do they do?: Ice Wand that makes things appear due to a wish made.
Describe your costume and if anything on it symbolizes anything: Costume is all white to symbolize the purity of her heart to care for the victims and the weak. She also hides her identity to prevent people from knowing who she is.
Have a day job? What is it?: She is a secretary for the court reporter who sees many criminals get away with their crimes.
How old are ya'?: 26 years old.
Got a catch-phrase or a quote you use?: "Whenever you are in trouble, victimized or have lost all hope...just make a wish and I will be there to grant you that wish."

So, are you a villain or hero?: Hero
Got any powers or special abilities?: Can create lightning, fights with a lightning sword. She can manipulate weather, power devices and some limited flight.
Describe your costume and if anything on it symbolizes anything: It's mostly non functional, but she has watched too much Magical Girl anime and thought it would be cute.
Have a day job? What is it?: She's a lab assistant at a university doing research on electricity and had an unfortunate accident involving a particle accelerator, a jelly bean and a butterfly.
How old are ya'?: 20

So, are you a villain or hero?: Hero
Got any powers or special abilities?: She can fly with supersonic speed, read minds and is very strong.
What about gadgets? What do they do?: She has a sword for close combat and a fan that she throws like a Shuriken (to slash the evil doers) / boomerang (it always returns to her.) She also has her space pets to help defend her in battle.
Describe your costume and if anything on it symbolizes anything: Her dress is spun from moonbeams and stardust. It represents goodness and purity.
Have a day job? What is it?: She works as a receptionist at an attorneys office.
How old are ya'?: 20
Got a catch-phrase or a quote you use?: "Protect your planet, its all you've got." "Moonbeams and dreams!" "Life is precious, so don't waste it."

 Superhero/Supervillain name: Forest Fighter
So, are you a villain or hero?: Hero to animals and tree huggers, villain to logging companies
Got any powers or special abilities?: He helps save the world, to stop deforesting and stuff! After falling into a pit of a rare poisonous vine he can transform into a plant himself. He can control plants and call upon animals to help him.
What about gadgets? What do they do?: Staff- control plants; animals- help get rid of foresters
Describe your costume and if anything on it symbolizes anything: just plant type thing he turns into to save the ecosystems of animals and rare plant life

 Superhero/Supervillain name: Rokan
So, are you a villain or hero?: Villain
Got any powers or special abilities?: He was an apprentice to a powerful alchemist in the days before Christ. One day as he was mixing a potion, there was a chemical reaction and he was transformed into this monster. Now he is a master at black magic, as well as alchemy, who blames the world for his fate. He can mix potions and cast spells, of course, but he is also a chameleon and can climb walls.
What about gadgets? What do they do?: He mostly uses his powers to blend into any scenery to sneak into banks or jewelry stores to rob them. If he is seen by anyone, he sprays his potions which makes his prey help him in whatever he is doing. He also has a scepter that will cast an enemies soul from their body, making them wander the earth like a ghost for eternity.
Describe your costume and if anything on it symbolizes anything: He only wears clothing in public because he gets too hot. He prefers dark colors because they are easier to manipulate to his surroundings.
Have a day job? What is it?: No day job. He still lives in the cave where he was born.
How old are ya'?: He is ancient.
Got a catch-phrase or a quote you use?: "What you cant see CAN hurt you." "Snazzy!" (He just likes the word.)

So, are you a villain or hero?: villain
Got any powers or special abilities?: he is a very timid, non-descript, plain man who can disappear in a crowd. he can use his mind to turn off security cameras and make people forget they ever saw him, but he wishes he could fly like he does in his dreams.
What about gadgets? What do they do?: he doesnt have any gadgets, but he wishes he did. he doesnt even own a gun because they scare him.
Describe your costume and if anything on it symbolizes anything: he doesnt have a costume. yet. but he plans to get one in the future.
Have a day job? What is it?: he is a loan officer at the bank close to his house. he lives with his mother because he is afraid to live alone. he walks to work because cars scare him. he has the same problem with dogs, hot coffee and sometimes even his shadow scares him. he is also afraid of women. his mother said they are all evil except for her, and that scares him. he sometimes dreams of finding the right woman, but he knows his mother would never approve.
How old are ya'?: 38

If this contest does well and we get plenty of entries, maybe I can pitch copyrighted heros/villains for a future contest
I'm really wanting to see what everyone brings to the table on this one. I added the form because I'd like to know about the character rather than just vote on appearance. I think I'd vote differently if there wasn't any description to it. It adds a bit more to the entries, or at least I think that XD

I always had that avatar as one of my tektek avatars but never thought of a story for it until now. Lol. I agree!
I'm thinking that maybe, for fun and maybe a smaller prize, I'll host a copyrighted heroes/villains one soon. I think for it to really count though, it's have to be real avatar entries only, since anyone can run on tektek and have a hand at making a character. I know that people use different items and layer things different, but I would rather not vote on 5+ Joker tektek entries, if you get what I mean. It's more of a challenge to use what you have ^^;

Superhero/Supervillian name: Cave dweller, dark shadow, monster. He has many names given to him by the people in the area who have seen him.

Got any powers or special abilities?: Runs fast, jumps far, pretty strong.
What about gadgets? What do they do?: He has a scythe for a weapon and his bats.
Describe your costume and if anything on it symbolizes anything: All dark to represent darkness and death.
Have a day job? What is it?: No day job. He lives in caves in the mountains and only comes out at night or on rainy days.
How old are ya'?: Ummm centuries old. xD
