[Okay, all you escapees from Endgame and Sacrifice! All of ya urchins stuck in Eyris too! Gather here and keep this short, put your mushy returning-to-homeland posts here. We gotta wrap this up ya know! :V]

Sue rode into the hometown she'd known for so long now... thanking Father Sky and Mother Earth once again that the eruption's fires that Loki had set forth weren't going to even come close to reaching it. Their home was safe, the chaos was defeated.

But... what was this? She noticed once again, citizens of Eyris lining up by the dozens on the streets. Why aren't they behind the barricades the Watch set up?

The nomad trooper looked upon their faces. They weren't scowling, they weren't holding torches, or pitchforks. They were cheering. All she could do... was wave.

"They're welcoming us back.. all of us!" she said cheerfully to Rath whom had Nino in tow. Once again, she was regarded... as a savior, along with the rest of FEF.

Of course, what she missed the most... were these familiar streets.. and the smiles of all those she loved around her.

FE Style ending (optional but do-able):

Sue- Nomad Trooper
Sue continued down the path to greatness, training every day to one day equal, or even surpass her father, Rath. Now that the two Nomad Troopers have reunited, she tells him all the stories of Learania that had happened while he was away, not leaving out a single detail. Sue has so far kept her bow shop open and gained some gold on the side, while also staying true to her vows to always protect her comrades in need.

Victoria strolled in, following Arashe every step of the way inside. They'd been through so much together... and it was good to see that the Ranger had lived through it all. She wanted to be by his side more... she wanted to have his company... always.

But she wouldn't have time to have anyone's company. She looked up at the cheering civilians, smiling... the lipstick she wore giving her an almost devilish expression. She waved...

"Greetings, o fair Eyris! Once again the Goddess has blessed us with victory! Now... we will continue to purge any evil that comes your way... for the Order of FEF... are your guardians!"

Victoria- Elmine’s Light
Victoria continued to use her rare gifts granted to her by the Goddess and Lady Saint to help in the regaining of FEF’s trust by Eyris City. Her pride in such gifts remains high to this day, and she doesn’t forget to remind others of it. Right now, she either heals the wounds of those whom fought hard to return to their beloved home, or purges the evil that dares to try and strike them.

Victoria- Elmine’s light x Arashe- Arrow of Nobility (Arashe x Victoria A support)
Arashe and Victoria were two different, but two similar souls whom decided they had met by the Goddess’s blessing. Although not yet deciding to tie the knot, each of them admitted their feelings of love were both strong and sincere. Their righteous spirits and kind hearts led them to be known throughout Eyris as bringers of justice… while their pride still stayed with them.

(( Since I don't have the luxury of typing out a RP style epilogue, I'm going to do it FE style. D: Sorry to anyone who was hoping otherwise from me? ))

Nils, the Draconic Bard
After the conflict, Nils continued to practice his music daily, eager to master the ability that his new ring, Fire's Devotion, granted him. Eventually, his wedding rolled around, and he, in a rather interesting choice of attire, was wed to Fire Dragon. However, he still remained in the Host Club, not wanting to separate from some of the best friends he has ever had.

Alihi, a Famed Tactician
After thinking long and hard about it, Alihi decided to stay in Eyris, where her young daughter demanded that she would stay. Her brother, who resides in another town, was not too pleased about Alihi's decision, but accepted it regardless. Alihi now spends a majority of the time with her daughter, determined to become the best mother she can be, while still managining to make time with her friends.

Amara, the Bright Daughter
Amara, after all that happened, demanded that Alihi would allow her to stay in Eyris. When Alihi cracked and said "yes", Amara was overjoyed. She spends each day with her mother and the people she has met, being as happy as a child can be.

[I still love you Nils. -shot-]

Leon rode in, at last fully rested from his conflicts in the mountains! It seemed like every day, it was something, and now he could finally lay down his weapon! He thought only for a moment of Dullahan... the cursed axe that had been wrapped in cloth and put away in Chickenwire's convoy. One day, he'd be strong enough to control it... All the while, Leon could only hope to get at least SOME sympathy from his Captain... and be off-duty for just a while longer.

But not too long. He rode in met with cheers, yes, but these were just people overjoyed to see they were victorious. The Lieutenant would have to work hard, once again to gain their true trust in the Watch. "We.. gotta long road 'head o' us... Cap'n." he said to his superior.

He was just about to say more, when two people came running at him and Anri at a mad pace. He was startled at first until seeing their faces... and then he dismounted... and upon doing so was surprised... but pleased to receive two hasty, but welcome embraces.

"Leena... Magnet... " Leon muttered, before returning Leena's embrace with his left, and Magnet's with his right. "I'm home. I'm so sorry I kept ya waitin'. I ain't never gonna make ya worry 'bout me like that 'gain, I promise."

Leon- Watch Lieutenant
Leon officially returned to the services of Captain “Steely” Dan, working tirelessly to rebuild broken walls and equally broken trust in his beloved home. Over time, rogues of all sorts grew to fear his mighty steed, Anri and his poleax, while some citizens at last looked upon the black-armored knight as their savior once again. To this day, he is also very busy making the report of his ordeals with the Heroes and Loki… while his bonds of friendship he forged with FEF and the Watch alike remain forever strong.

Leena looked up from the returned embrace from her dearest friend Leon, scowling. "You... you better not make us worry again! You have no idea what we thought happened! You have no idea what we heard! ... Leon... " her tone softened, as she then buried her face into his chest, unsure if Magnet did the same. "Leon... all that matters is you're back... and you're safe. I prayed... and my prayers were answered." She pulled away, now taking a weight off her back that she'd just finished forging. "And Captain Dan... before I forget. As always, the first of a design that can boost something... belongs to you..."

Leena- Magical Jeweler
After so many tries, Leena finally perfected the design for the Dragonshield, and as of honor, presented it to Captain Dan as a gift for his services. She continues to forge jewelry, magical and non-magical, for the sake of her men and women in armor. Every once in a while, she’ll take care of Anri and spend some time with her dearest friend, Leon in his time off-duty.

((Sorry if I timeskipped. sweatdrop ))

It was a new day. A new beginning for not only FEF guild and the Watch members, but also to the people of Learania. It was a new age where the country was once freed from Loki...

But it came with a heavy price.

Nearby the FEFGA's manor, Isadora was kneeling underneath the tree. She had a bouquet on her laps. Before her was a handmade grave marker. It may look plain-looking, but she would get the stonecutter to make a tombstone. Her sad eyes was cast on the ground, refusing to look at the bouquet nor the grave marker.

Father Renault... She thought with grief.

After the battle, Isadora and Amelia had a long talk. She had informed the General that Renault had appointed her as her guardian. Although Isadora had little knowledge of being someone else's guardian, she informed Amelia that she would help her. Whether it would be protection or financial, Isadora had made a promised that she would help her. Even if she had to take Father Renault's place to walk her down the aisle.

However, now it was the time to grieve.

It was hard for Isadora. Now who would she go to to confess her sins? Who would give her guidance of the teachings of St. Elimine? Who would understand her and try to comfort her through the tough situations?

Isadora knew that she could go to Victoria to hear the guidance of St. Elimine, but it would take her time to get used to the change. It felt so different to her. It seemed...... That Learania would never feel like a complete home without Father Renault.

The Paladin closed her eyes, still grieving over her deceased friend. She muttered softly, "May St. Elimine rest your soul and ease your heart with peace. I will try my best to take your place for Amelia. I'll make sure that your daughter is safe."

Isadoora - Dame Knight
Although carried the sad burden within her, Isadora continued her duty as a knight and the crewmember of the guild. It was heard that Isadora visited Victoria more often to ease her soul and mind under the guidance of St. Elimine.

Aran came walking out of whatever was left of the barricades. After his rest, he had been ordered to contain the riots and defend the castle incase of attack. A few rogues, and even some bandits broke in on one of the weaker, neglected sections of the barricade when most of the troops left.

But Aran was there to make sure nothing was stolen, and nothing was stolen indeed. Well, maybe some of the lives of the bandits but most of them were doin' time.

"It's about time you guys got back!" He said with a grin. He congradulated FEF for once again coming through in the end, but he had still heard of Father Renaults death.. Which would be especially heart breaking towards Amelia, he thought as he took the time to apologize to her for the loss. Although, in the end he mourned for the Heroes too. He wasn't their to understand the main suffering of it, but news goes by rather quickly in Eyris.

Aran - Hardworking Halberdier
Aran remained apart of The Watch, and a member of FEF. Aran's efforts at the Castle when most of the troops left had paid off, as he received a long awaited promotion to a Halberdier. He still trained hard and became a valuable member of The Watch, and a loved member of FEF and Eyris.

(( Too lazy to do a long post soo..FE style ))

Ephraim-Calm Prince
After their welcome back to Eyris. Ephraim spent a majority of his time in peace. Though after the fiasco with Loki and the fiery chinchilla, Ephraim was forced to build an immunity due to the fact of Amelia's teasing. Eventually he did but he still never saw those creatures the same way again.

(( Too lazy to come up with something decent also LOL ))

It wasn't until Amelia could kneel before her father's grave marking--not a proper grave nor burial, for his body had been irretrievable, a fact that wounded her heart more painfully than any injury--that she truly faced the reality she had been handed. She had wanted to wait for the lady Isadora to leave before she came, not wishing to intrude on her thoughts or prayers. She was her guardian now, something Amelia dearly appreciated, but still she felt awkward. Was she supposed to treat the woman like a real mother, or as an adult, continue with her own life and let Isadora continue hers?

In the end, Isadora had stayed at the grave, so Amelia had no other choice than to approach her and kneel next to the blue-haired woman. There was not that true comfortable atmosphere between them, and Amelia was hesitant to bother her; however, already her presence eased her lament, at least a little.

"Dad..." Amelia's hands tightened over her knees. She had shed her armor, wearing only the protective clothing underneath. She could still feel the breeze against her stomach and side from the slashes brought upon her from the Dread Reaver Kyros. Amelia drew her red cloak tightly around her, staring at the gravemarker. It was still blank, reading only "Father Renault."

Amelia quietly removed a thick pencil from her pocket. Holding it carefully, thinking of the words as she placed down each letter, Amelia tilted her head to the side a few minutes later to study the handiwork the gravemarker now displayed. The lettering was a little crude, almost childish (what with Amelia not having the most practice at penmanship), but it was easily read:

"Father Renault
He will live on
in all those that
he left behind
"

Amelia put her hands at her knees again and bowed her head, the pencil forgotten at her side. A tear, then two, fell onto her skirt, but she didn't move to rub her eyes dry. "I didn't... even get to say goodbye," she whispered. She said nothing more, only sitting at the grave marker for some time. If she closed her eyes, really stayed quiet, she could almost hear him in the wind... Amelia released a strained breath, trying not to bawl. Not many people... lose two fathers.

Eventually Amelia rose to her feet. Her cloak whirled about her as she turned slowly, face marred with tears. There was still work to be done. She slowly began to walk away from the gravemarker and her guardian, cloak whipping and unfurling around her.

Blossom Ridell

PostPosted: Sat Jul 04, 2009 8:53 am

Blossom was, to say the least, incredibly relieved to return to town and find that the people had forgiven them. Perhaps it was the fact that, well, they had killed the god of chaos that the Heroes had 'come back to destroy' that made the townspeople shape up and apologize for all the wrongness they'd perpetrated against the guild. "About time, too," Blossom murmured. She still held Vezra in her hands, unsure of what to do with it.

She wasn't a member of the Watch, but hey, who wasn't to say she wasn't allowed to help them out? Until she figured out something better to do with the mighty blade than keeping it (or, say, someone like Tibarn or Nino told her exactly what to do with it), Blossom let Vezra quietly stay in her closet at home. In the meantime, she could help Chickenwire rebuild what damages were brought upon the city and spend time with her friends and family.

That was all she really wanted to begin with, anyway.

Blossom: Carefree One
Whether or not they wanted her around, Blossom was a fairly permanent fixture for the Watch's work for some time. There was a lot of barricading to disassemble and return to its proper places, after all. Chickenwire, especially, saw a lot of the small woman; she was already geared up to leap back into training.

Blossom/Aidan: Love in Innocence
Already married, Blossom and Aidan made a better effort to stick together after the events of Loki's demise. They sure had a tendency to get split apart during times of crisis... Blossom's son heralded a chaotic (but in a good way!) time for the couple, who had no shortage of interesting visitors from the Watch.

It was finally over.

Annis perched herself on the roof of the Watch's gathering building, stretching out languidly on her stomach as she watched the goings-on of the people down below. Rather fitting name it had, then. Watch Clubhouse, was it? In any case, it was named "Watch," and this was where Annis liked to... well, watch people.

This time, as she studied the vaguely familiar axe cavalier down below, assaulted (with love) by the more-familiar Bishop and completely foreign lady wearing rather interesting clothes, Annis' fingers traced along the Tervingi Crest that hung around her neck. Best not to question how exactly she'd gotten it back from Ed.

A thief has her ways.

Annis turned her green eyes to the horizon. The battle was hours over, and the people were still greeting and embracing the loved ones that had gone to battle. Annis looked back at the Crest, rubbing a thumb on the red gem. The colors seemed to swirl at her touch, as if taunting her. Her loved one wasn't going to come back. As much as Annis would want to pretend otherwise, she knew he was gone; she had buried him herself.

Annis let a tear fall and closed her eyes. The warmth of the sun felt so nice...

"There's a spot right here in town where I loved to watch the sun rise. Great spot for a morning nap in the summer, too."
"What are you, a cat or a raven?"

Just one nap... wouldn't hurt...

With the Tervingi Crest still clasped in her hand, Annis fell into peaceful sleep, wings spread wide to either side of her body, soaking in the sun.

Annis: Fleeting Beauty
Although she herself refused to admit it, the events of Learania's anniversary changed the raven. Large might have professed to seeing her somewhat less frequently than before, had anyone asked, and Annis disliked explaining where she had gotten such a necklace. Still, if you look closely enough, you might see her observing over the edge of a rooftop, just as before. And then you'll realize your wallet's gone missing.

Roy - The Magic Swordsman
The young lord hasn't been seen since his departure before the final battle. Though some rumors state that a young redhead was staying at an inn not too far from Eyris, none of have been confirmed. He continues his journey to find his father, never forgetting the time he spent with his Mother, Uncle and the rest of FEF.

He'll be back for the Halloween event, assuming college life isn't going to kill me.

After Melethia woke up, she cleaned herself up. She dug a grave for Shento. There were tears in her eyes as she covered his body with dirt. She left a gravestone with his name, written in her home languge. She didn't go to Renault's grave for some reason. After she was done with Shento's grave she went back up to the attic of the manor.

Melethia-Dragonic Sage
Melethia wandered around Eyris for some time. Some people say they saw the half dragon with an infant in her arms WHO KNOWS HOW LONG after the battle against the Dark God.

Overlord of Night- Shadow

PostPosted: Sat Jul 04, 2009 10:49 am

A lone figure, cloaked in white, moved through the town, eyes searching from behind the golden mask for a certain sight. Where was it? He would find it, he was sure. There was no way he wouldn't, right? His job was starting soon and he'd like to say something beforehand. Of course, that might not be as easy as he'd like it to be, but he would manage. It wasn't as if anyone would know, anyway. So he could do it. They didn't know him, and he didn't know them, so it would be simple. Only a few words to say.

He walked past the blonde-haired General, then paused between her and the paladin, staring down at the gravesite. It was a bit odd that such a strange figure would be here; he hadn't known the deceased at all, he knew not the descendants, he seemed to know nothing of the situation. Yet, he had comments to make. "Death... is inevitable, isn't it?" His voice was quiet and soft, and of a bit higher pitch than the normal male. "It happens to everyone, and sometimes it comes in a violent and bloody way." His white cloak swirled around him, wind gusting through the holes in his ragged clothes, the cloth strips holding them together gently swaying in the breeze. "This one is just... another of those deaths, isn't he? But you shouldn't mourn. You should carry on. And some day you will be happy again." He laughed then, a jester's laugh, quaint and high. However, it didn't seem mocking; it seemed nearly sad. "Remember, little children, death isn't always what it seems. Someday, all who have died will be reborn in a new form, won't they? Even if it's only in the form of your rotting corpse feeding the worms, someday a great tree may grow from the soil left behind from your remains. Isn't that the pleasant thought?"

He began to walk back and forth; his monologue wasn't quite done yet. "Crying over this man won't bring him back, girly. Nothing you do will bring him back. It's hopeless. Very few things can break Death's strong grip, and you aren't one of them." His laugh was lower this time, and a bit meaner. "Give it up. You're only wasting your time with this. That's my advice to you. I've killed enough people to know that once they're dead, they're dead. And you don't get them back." The eyes behind the mask were serious for once. "Don't wreck yourself any more." After a moment though, they returned to their usual mirth, and he let out another soft peal of laughter. "I'm going to be playing a game soon~ Perhaps you'll do me the pleasure of joining in, little miss." With a quiet movement, a dagger flashed from the inside pocket of his robes to embed itself in the grave marker, serving as an ending point to Amelia's words. "We'll have all sorts of fun~ And perhaps you'll even begin to forget about that father of yours." With that, he was gone, a leap taking him to first a wall and then the rooftop, where he vanished silently into the distance.

Rhys had made his rounds about Eyris. The riots had ended--the surviving Watch made effective counter-rumormongers, and upon hearing these counterarguments, the citizens of Eyris had doubts as to what they should believe. In the end, they opted to go with FEF for their track record. Rhys for one helped, as he was the one who started the first hospital in Eyris. Some refused to turn against the man who had helped them in the past, and so the riots fractured and dwindled away.

But he wasn't entirely in the mood to celebrate. Not yet...

He was exhausted, but refused to sleep yet, acting as a shoulder for Amelia to lean on. She was still grieving for him, would still be grieving for a little while longer.

He thought of the tombstone.

...Remember back at Easter, when you told me not to be a retard? He wanted to glare at the tombstone. Who's the retard now? But he didn't say it, and he wasn't thinking it to rub it in the Saint's face. He just felt... bitter. ...Yeah. That wasn't the plan. The plan was that everybody got out and then you'd be there at our wedding day. Wh-why did you...

He'd cried too, when he finally had time to think about everything that had happened. What made sense? Two different Sorens, Renault's eyes turning gold, the... THINGS the one Soren might be doing in the attic? But regardless of what the Soren(s?) were doing, Renault was gone. He hadn't cried as much as Amelia, though--all he'd lost was a mentor in the magical arts. She'd lost much more.

Amelia hesitated as she started to leave the clearing, letting Isadora stay behind with the gravestone. Who was this...? She turned to face him as his voice sounded in the silence. "Death... is inevitable, isn't it? It happens to everyone, and sometimes it comes in a violent and bloody way."

Amelia closed her eyes, thinking of Renault's death. Yes. Sometimes it does... He spoke again, and Amelia couldn't help but feel that he was right before the end of his words sent a chill down her spine. "This one is just... another of those deaths, isn't he? But you shouldn't mourn. You should carry on. And some day you will be happy again. Remember, little children, death isn't always what it seems. Someday, all who have died will be reborn in a new form, won't they? Even if it's only in the form of your rotting corpse feeding the worms, someday a great tree may grow from the soil left behind from your remains. Isn't that the pleasant thought?"

"...Not really," Amelia responded. This man was entirely unfamiliar. Who was he? At the mention of her grieving, her eyes narrowed. "You don't know anything," she hissed. Amelia gripped her fists, though the anger shifted to muted surprise as he continued. What was wrong with this man...? "I'm going to be playing a game soon~ Perhaps you'll do me the pleasure of joining in, little miss. We'll have all sorts of fun~ And perhaps you'll even begin to forget about that father of yours."

Amelia tried not to focus on the man as she heard the distinct swish of white robes. "Rhys...!" Amelia breathed, looking up to see him. She didn't hesitate; the unarmored General ran right to him, embracing him tightly. She rested her cheek on his shoulder, closing her eyes. Her arms stayed secure around his chest, a reassurance that he was all right.

"I'm glad you're all right," she whispered.
