Hope everyone's doing good today.^_^

Anyways, I had quite an experience today.

Earlier this Afternoon, i was researching the greek gods and looking into the Greek gods/dessess and Hellenismos because of a connection i recently started feeling with that path.

I got this idea to ask and see if they were the ones that wanted me, or if i had to look else where for my patron.

I settled down comfortably, and sttarting meditating on the issue. Not long after, i got a sense of someone watching me, and i broke the mediation and looked to my side. Standing next to my bed was a female figure, young to middle aged, either short hair or with it up atop her head, holding something in her hands, either a bowl or a helmet of some sort. It was silvery. She was draped in greek styled clothes, and she was shining faintly. She was also smiling at me.

I have to say i almost had a heart attack(even though i'm technically to young). xD

When i got over the shock, there was a sense of peace, then she began to fade until she was gone. I got no name, nor voice. Just that image of her.

Since then, I've been trying to figure out who she was, looking up all sorts of pictures and images of greek goddesses. I can't figure out which one it is though.
The ones that match her the most are Artemis and Athena. I just can't figure it out though...

I was wondering if anyone had any input on this? any advice? Anything would be helpful. =3

Also, what were your experiences with finding your patron? How did you go about it? were they blunt, or subtle?

i had a parton before i started my path.

i was in wales at a young age around 10ish and i visited the foot hills of snowdonia and saw a large lake with snowdonia in the background.
and ever since then ive allways felt ive had something watching me protecting me.

when i started my druid path i studyed the story of Ceridwen and Tailsin the story describes ceridwens house as being on an island/near a lake in the foothills of snowdonia.

and ive been in contact with her ever since....

sometime into my path around half a year maybe a bit more i was begining to feel a pull towards the lady in red The Morrigan as mt animal totums are the raven the magpie and crow,
so i felt it natural to honur her (she is the queen of cordvids) but i was afraid she has quite the repuation....
but while in my scared grove mediating (a safe heaven within the mind).
she appeared whilst Ceridwen was there,
Ceridwen stood behind me while she spoke (in a sort of mentor perspective) she gave my permision to honur her and gave me a personal sprit Crow as a guide.

and then left i discussed this with Ceridwen after she left...

and ive been in contact with her ever since...

Brighid i went to her as i needed help with healing those important to me.
and ive honoured her ever since and ive been studying to learn to heal from her.

alas well theres my stories.

You should try to call her forth again. Then just ask her name. Since your description matches a lot of godesses.

hm...i was just thinking (while cooking something to eat) about this again...but decided to post my response in a new thread. it took away from this topic too much & i didn't want to rip it apart.

I haven't found a patron yet, or been found by one, depending on how you look at it.. I feel that until the connection has been made, it's important for me to continue to read and learn about mythology..

what do you mean?

With several signs being sent to me during vacation. The spiral kept showing up which is a very celtic symbol. I believe I need to get back in touch with celtic roots. Hmmmm....
