Aurora grinned as she toyed and played with a small baby rodent that had been separated from it's parents. Shaking with freight, it dodged Aurora's paws and nose as they poked and prodded it. Aurora giggled and attempted to calm it. "Shh, little fella.. I just wanna play." Her tail flicked left and right as she studied it's movements, her head leaning to the sides and she watched him. Sighing, took it by the throat as it flailed and squealed and bit deep. It's pain was over quickly and Aurora had a snack for the evening.

Having wandered from home Aeolus was having a very boring time. This was no fun at all. His wings were tucked in tight against his body as he continued walking.
After walking quite a distance he came upon an interesting scene. A female with colorful markings was playing with a small rodent. He watched in silence and shook his head when she finally killed it to eat. "Didn't your parents ever teach you not to play with your food?"

Jumping, she turned after dropping her snack and snarled at the figure. When she saw it was just another helix, about her size she stopped and stood straight. "Nope." she said, tilting her head to the left some. "Didn't yours teach you not to talk to strangers?" she said cocking an eyebrow and size on her haunches, meal forgotten.

Aeolus immediately fell into a defensive position when she turned and snarled. He narrowed his eyes and only stood up in a normal posture when she did. "They did but doesn't mean I listened." He said shifting his wings a little, "...... So in order to not be strangers..... I'm Aeolus." His left wing began to itch so he lifted it from his body and moved it towards his face. He began lightly biting it to help stop the itching.

Aurora nodded, "Hello Aeolus. I'm Aurora." she stood and formally bowed. When she noticed him scratching at his wing, she smiled some. "Nice." She walked towards him, trying to appear easy. She wanted a closer look at the wings. All her life living in the East, she'd never seen them up close. "May I?" she asked motioning for her to feel and smell them.

Aeolus looked up from his wing while still biting it. He moved his head back and moved his wing back to his side. "Hello Aurora." He said bowing as well. He smiled when she noticed his wings. "Thanks." He said nodding and spreading his wings, "Sure. I don't mind."

Smiling at him as a thank you, she leaned towards the feathers and rubbed her nose against them. They were so soft and felt so strange. Giggling as it tickled her wet nose, she held back a sneeze. "Cool." she giggled more sitting back, but still looking over them, at the colors. "Very." she said, nodding stiffly with a joking smile. "I like 'em."

Aeolus made a face trying not to laugh from her rubbing her nose on his feathers. It tickled slightly and also hurt a little. "Yep. They're great. I love them.... I can even fly a little. Not too far or too high yet." He said settling them against his body once more, "But I'll be able to when I get older."

She perked both eyebrows, impressed. "That's pretty awesome." Standing, she tilted her head again, her smile not wavering. "Do both your parents have wings like you?" she hoped the question wasn't to personal. She would hate to be rude to someone she just met, especially if they were nice to her.

Aeolus nodded. "Yeah.... although sometimes it gets unwanted attention from others." He said shaking his head, "No. Only my dad had wings. My mother looked like a Gazelle. She's even had others mistake her for one and tried to hunt her." He laughed a little and looked at her. "You're markings are really pretty."

"Hunt her?" Aurora's eyes got wide and thanked her parents for not looking like prey. Her smile grew even more when he complimented her as blush fummed under her dark fur. "Thank you. I love you mohawk thing." she giggled and pawed at the spikes on her head. "They're cute." Giggling more, podded him more with her paw.

He nodded gravely before chuckling. "Yeah. She has the horns and is colored just like one so in the tall grass they can't tell the difference." He said, "Probably doesn't help that she bounds around like one too. Says it helps to get close to them so she can catch one." He smiled while blushing himself at her complement. "Thanks. I get all of my looks from my dad.... although I'm colored more after my mom." He said letting her paw his mohawk plume thing.

"Your Dad must be a pretty handsome guy." she smiled at her compliment and sat pack, down pawing at his head. "I never met my Dad.. Well, my mother says that he was around when I was young, but he ran off because he had better things to do." Aurora didn't mention her mom wasn't being sarcastic about the "better things to do." Azula was content that the father of her children left them, knowing Azula wasn't ready for motherhood.

Aeolus huffed and sat down. "He may be handsome but he's the most serious helix alive. He drives me nuts sometimes." He said shaking his head, "I wish sometimes that I was able to live with my mom and sister." He tilted his head at what she was saying about her dad. "I don't see how anything can be better than being with your kids." He said frowning.

"I don't know if I want kids... They seem to really hurt your relationship between you and who you're with." She made a little snarl expression of disgust. "I'd rather live happy with the one I love, than have little helix-like rodents running around ruining it all." She shrugged, then she was reminded of her snack. Standing she sauntered over to her kill and picked it up and walked back towards Aeolus. "Maybe it's just me." she spoke, muffled by her lunch. "Hungry?" she asked, still muffled, dropping it between herself and her new friend.
