name meaning. saint lucia is the patron
saint of blindness; lukia is the italian version of lucia.
gender. female
age. teenager
distinguishing marks. blind. the rest idk yet.
personality. solemn, thoughtful, quiet,
self-contained, intelligent, logical, hopeful,
somewhat dreamy, survivor. she tends to
bring herself down to avoid others being able
to bring herself down - "if i destroy myself,
they can't destroy me". it's not that she lacks
of self-confidence, it's that she lacks the
willingness to risk letting others in. it is
incredible difficult to befriend her, and not
everyone will feel that the effort was at all
worth it; she is, after all, emotionally stunted
by her long travels away from home. she is willing
to demean herself in order to keep going, but
for anything else, she will not. this emotional
"deadness" may be attributed to events which
she has decided to forget - and it is unknown
whether these events ever happened, because
no matter the evidence, she will deny that she
was ever hurt. she's not the type to get easily
sucked into anything, and in fact always tries
to maintain control of herself, whether this means
a stoic appearance or shutting down her own
emotions. sometimes she can be unexpectedly
cruel, and that is often the most passion she'll
display for anyone.
her waters are still; it's hard to tell what she's
feeling at any given time, but it's also true to
the saying that unmoving waters are often the
deepest. simple things are capable of keeping
her up late into the night, things like - "if i
can't cry, am i inhuman" and "what color is this
flavor of juice". she feels things very keenly,
but often does not say a word about them,
perhaps believing that she shouldn't bring
things like personal appearances up to others.
occasionally, lukia is stricken by an odd urge
to travel; she deals with this by going for "walks"
which may last anywhere from a few days to
an entire half a year. when this geas ends, she
will stop where she was standing. if she is
found and returned home before she is ready,
she will simply leave again.
all in all, she can be said to be traveling a
twisted path, of which an end has yet to be seen.

The Black Baccara hybrid rose is the darkest full-size rose available on the market today. Their color can vary from a very deep bloodred to an extremely dark, almost blackish-purple color depending upon the area where they're grown. The watering, feeding, and lighting of the Black Baccara is the main affectant of the color of the petals. Their blooms are of medium size and their season is late summer to early autumn. The thorns of the black baccara can be anywhere from half an inch to two inches long, and a black baccara can grow almost anywhere, provided it is well-watered.
Roses are ancient symbols of love and beauty, being sacred to many pagan goddesses and the Virgin Mary. It is the national flower of England and America, as well as the symbol of English rugby. Yorkshire and Lancashire in England share the rose as a symbol of their area, as well as Alberta in Canada and the Islamabad Capital Territory in Pakistan.
Gothic churches often boast "rose windows", comprised of five or ten segments. Most rose windows are very elaborate.
Socialism uses the red rose, held in the hand, as a symbol. The Portuguese, British, Spanish, French, Norwegian, Danish, Swedish, Finnish, Brazilian, Dutch, and American socialist parties are especially well known for this.
In the nineteenth century, the practice of using flowers to pass messages became popular, and a black - which is to say, very dark red, as truly black roses are impossible in nature - rose developed varied meanings. It could mean anything from hatred and death to pure devotion to goodbye. One black rose was often sent to close friends and loved ones who were leaving to fight or on a journey from which they were not expected to return.
A bouquet of red roses is used to show love. The Virolai, a hymn to the Virgin of Montserrat, one of the Black Madonnas of Europe, begins with the words: "April rose, dusky lady of the mountain chain".
