Personality: Somewhat of a shady personality, she comes off as abrasive and not-at-all tactile. She will not waste her time on those she does not think will benefit her somehow. She often tries to be manipulative, but most usually ends up failing at it.

Abilities Gained: None.

Karma - whom the bottle was originally meant to be left with. Karma, as it stands, is very overloaded with her present obligations and so passed the bottle along to Zhane for guardianship and safekeeping when he and his family moved out.

Talonfaust - Zhane's father. He is generally disagreeable, short-tempered and grouchy. He works nights on an evening talk show as a co-host on which he does what he does best -- complains about everytihng on god's green earth. He doesn't much mind Zhane caring for a Hayeta just as long as he doesn't end up getting dragged into it somehow.

Yeande - Zhane's mother. Of his parents, she's the much more level-headed of the two, though she likewise has a hot-headed temper when provoked. She has a penchant for gardening and, when she's not spending time with Zhane and Phaerna, is usually found in the back yard tending to her plants. She finds the whole Hayeta concept interesting and makes sure Zhane doesn't shirk on his responsibilities.

Phaerna - Zhane's little sister. She was adopted into the family at an early age and is a very shy sort . She generally sticks close to her big brother when she can, looking to him for guidance and solace. She doesn't understand the pretty bottle on Zhane's dresser or why she's not allowed to touch it.

Valtentin - An oculai who, like Zhane, has a penchant for learning all about new subjects. He's kept a third eye on the boy since he was an infant and has become a sort of portable conscience for him when he needs a little help. He finds the Hayeta bottle remarkably fascinating and wishes to study it more closely. He is muchly chagrined by the fact that he cannot remove the cork to take a sample of the ashes, however.

Codiene - A Jivvin that was given to Talon as a birthday gift. As such she takes up the role of the "family pet", despite the fact that she deems herself much better than most of the household residents. She is of the Daewl clan and they are generally withdrawn and cold, so needless to say she and Talon get along very well. She has no opinion of the Hayeta bottle.
