This was taking far too long for Hari's liking. If she wasn't so sure it wasn't going to be worth it in the end she'd have given up her pursuit long again. Even then, it was hard to keep forcing herself to dedicate so much time and effort to but one aspect of the overall plan. It was made slightly easier when that aspect was part of the foundation for said plan. That didn't keep the long days and nights of walking any less annoying.

By time the sun rose that morning it was starting to feel like she'd never find her. Hari stood on the large stone near a pride she didn't know, and had no plans to bother. Favoring the night, sunrise was her sunset. She considered turning in for the following six hours, give or take, then trying again when she awoke.

Truly, this was becoming tiresome...

Things weren't going any better on Ohahira's life story, but she was about to unknowingly improve things for a certain entity offspring. Ever since leaving the Mtaishi, she'd done little more than slaughter anything that got in her way and walk. Pace, maybe, was a better word. Pace left, pace right.

She didn't know what to do, and couldn't calm her mind enough to think clearly. Her daily routine consisted of attempting to until something came along for her to maul. Perhaps if given enough time, she'd have calmed. But things to attack were never in short supply.

Today would be no different.

Ohahira stepped in Hari's line of sight.

Praise to be whatever b*****d of a God controlled this type of thing.

Now that Ohahira was before her, she was convinced she'd have thrown herself off a cliff if she'd been forced to look another day. Maybe she wouldn't have to bother. Just then, a finish struck her like they always did.

Ohahira attacking her. A battle. Running. Being hit. Falling. Falling... off a cliff.

Wonderful.

More wary and cautious, Hari approached her, knowing full well what was about to happen the second she said it...

"Ohahira!"

If what Hari had predicted was being instantly attacked, she was right. Ohahira had known her for a while. Not very well, never very well. In the past she had just been some lioness within the pride. Ohahira took after Nyumbani in that she kept mostly to her family, so she never knew anyone outside them that well.

But it wouldn't have mattered. Had she known Hari, she'd still have done what she did. If her prediction was being mauled on sight, then it was correct. Ohahira turned, then turned on her, lashing out as soon as she was within reach.

My, she was fast. Hari just barely made it out of her reach in time; barely in distance. The attempt at her life had been expected, predicted even, yet was still somewhat unnerving. Hari didn't have as many attacks as she should have. Too good at weaseling out of them.

There was going to be few challenges in her life more dangerous than this one. As she took off, Ohahira nearly caught her several times. Staying out of reach had required the head start granted after the other female had fell on her face after the miss.

Almost there...

Almost there...

Suddenly, she stopped, dropping to the ground.

Damn that Uzulu. She was too young to be having back problems like these. Somewhere in the chase it registered who was in front of her. Hari; Mwokoti's daughter. That bitches daughter right in front of her!

Needless to say, that did nothing but speed her up, encouraged to take her down out of purpose and not simply pure rage and a pinch of insanity. It took her time to capture the Goddess spawn, or so she thought.

When Hari stopped, Ohahira didn't reason it. When did she ever? Instead, she took action right away, springing forward to try and latch onto her yet again. But, just in time, Hari had dunked like she knew it was coming.

Instead of her victory, Ohahira rolled...

Right over a cliff.

Oh, fate. So twisted. In the end it was not Ohahira who latched onto her, but the other way around. Hari span as the rogue plunged over the edge, her paws reaching out to grasp the falling lady by her own. Claws digging into her flesh like that probably wasn't the most comforting way to be rescued, but it beat falling to your death and all.

"Ohahira, knock this off or I will drop you. I'm Hari. You remember, right? So angry at my mother, I understand. I hate her too. Do you remember all those things I was accused of in the Mtaishi? I did all of those, and I'm going to do more."

Was she still listening? Good. "I want you to help me. Get back at Mwokoti. I can promise you Uzulu's head, too."

Actually, Ohahira was doing nothing but listening. Sometimes even those in the up most control couldn't stop themselves. Control and Ohahira didn't seem like a destined pair, and in most cases they weren't, but she had long ago mastered the art of not making a sound. Uzulu would never get to hear her cry out in pain. The b*****d.

Rolling over a cliff was something different all together. For the falling she had been silent, but the sudden grab for her paws and jerk upward had even her emitting a breathless gasp.

Son of a...

Uzulu? That b*****d...

Hari carefully watched for any change in expression best she could given their current position. Why in the world was this thing so heavy? She didn't look all that big. Black eyes cast over her, and then she realized. Ah, very toned build. Impressive.

"You can either die or agree to get what you want in life. If you trick me and attack me again, there's a good chance I'll win. Either way, I'm offering you want you want, so why not save your rage for those you want to spend it on?"

For the first time in a while, Ohahira thought something over. Hari's words had hit the mark; the only target in her mind that could get her to bother thinking of an alternate of option to just attacking her again when she got pulled back up.

Was she lying? It didn't matter. If she was, they could fight later. On the off chance she wasn't... They could still fight later, but she'd taken down Uzulu and maybe that Goddess first.

"Fine," she agreed bitterly, pulled up a second later. "Lead the way, Hari."
