 Ali stumbled through the last of the undergrowth near where she knew her family would be. The rain had subsided a bit, and there were fewer tree roots. Tiredly, she stumbled into the place where she lived with her family and stood for a few moments, shivering, before she called out softly to the two present. "Mommy...Lava...." She held still, since it took all her energy to stay standing and not topple over from the pain, the cold, and the exhaustion. She was home, and she was safe. At last.

Adelle was playing quietly with Lavanya while waiting for her other young daughter to make her way home. She didn't mind much if the little ones wandered from home, just so long as they stayed safe. And so there she played under the willow tree that they called their home. It was a simple imagination game they were playing, at least until she heard Alienore call out softly. "Alienore, welcome..." she paused in mid sentence as she saw her daughter bleeding. "What happened to you?" she rushed over and started inspecting the wing. The little filly enjoyed spending time with her mother when no one else was around. It wasn't that often she had alone time with mama. There were her two siblings, and then all her older siblings, and then father, and then her older siblings kids were always around bugging her mama. So she was quite enjoying this time together with her mama. When she heard her sister come home she gave a small sigh of annoyance. But after turning around she took it back as she saw her sister wounded. "Ali! What happened to you? You're bleeding!" she cried out, scared.

Ali smiled woozily. "Lavender mare...with wings...talked with me...." She took some deep breaths before continuing. She was glad the mare had left her alone after that tug on the wing, rather than continue, and glad to see the familiar willow tree. "Wasn't a nice mare...I ran, and she flew after me...grabbed my wing...." Ali was wobbling now, as much from exhaustion, pain, and the cold and damp as from relief that she was home alive with only a torn wing, and the notion of sleep somehow appealed to her, even though it was only afternoon and she wasn't yet under the willow's protective branches.

Adelle looked sharply at Ali when she mentioned the lavender mare. "Lavender? Did she look at all like me or your father?" She questioned her voice sounding harsh as she tried to hold back the anger that was swelling up inside of her. If this lavender mare was who she thought it was, the mother of these young ones was going to have to do something about it. "Come lay down next to the tree Ali. And let me look at your own." She gently nudged the young foal over to the tree. "Oh what a time for your father to not be here. Lavanya back away from you sister for now please."
Lavanya stared as bright red liquid dripped from her sister's wing. "Yes mama." she stepped away from her sister quietly. "Mama! She isn't going to die is she?" she asked worriedly. She didn't want to see anything wrong with her sister! The little filly vowed to herself that she would hunt down this attacker and show the same sort of 'kindness' back.

Ali nodded quietly and stumbled over to lay down under the protective branches of the willow. "Yeah, she did. I think she had gold stars like Daddy and a mane and tail like you." She stretched out her wing, which was finally starting to go numb, which was a mercy to the little filly right now. She managed a smile for Lava. "It's OK, Lava, it's just my wing." The smile still had traces of pain, but she had to smile. She didn't want to upset her mother and sister.

Neva, how could you do this to your family? You're breaking my heart. Shredding it into a thousand pieces. What did I do wrong? These thoughts flowed through Adelle's mind as she tended to her youngest's wing. "Ali, whenever you see her, run. Do not talk to her. Just come straight home. Or find your father, myself, or your older siblings." Her voice wavered slightly as she tried to not think of what one of her older daughter's did. She tried to keep herself together so as not to worry the girls but it was hard.
"Mama...you look worried. Do you know who did this?" Lava asked quietly as she watched her tend to Ali. She then turned her attention back on her sister. "You're not ok. Your wing is bleeding and there's blood! That doesn't mean you are ok. It means you're hurt, but mama can fix it!" She gave a firm nod of her head as she continued looking on. The poor filly was worried not only for her sister but now for her mother, who seemed to get so sad all of a sudden.

Ali nodded. She'd intended to stay away from that mean mare from now on, anyways, and she wasn't really surprised to hear instructions to get help if she should ever meet her again, but...but it still very deeply frightened the poor filly. A few pale tears slowly coursed down her cheeks as she began to cry from the fear and the pain fading into oblivion.
If Ali'd been older, she'd have realized she was losing blood fast and was going to probably lose consciousness soon. However, not knowing that, she still attempted to communicate. "I was so scared, Mommy." Her golden eyes rose to meet her mother's silvery blue ones. "At least my wing doesn't hurt anymore. I can't really feel my wing at all right now," she added, head wobbling from the energy it took to keep her head up and keep conscicous.

Adelle shook her head to rid her mind of these thoughts. She had to remain strong for her girls. Oh how she wished she had the hands of a two-legger! She'd be better able to care for her hurt daughter. Turning to lavanya she made a decision. "Go and find one of your older siblings or father. They may know of a unicorn or two-legger that could help." She wished that Shihab's two-legger was home but last she knew the two-legger was gone away gathering supplies and things.
Lavanya nodded in response to her mothers request. Mama normally didn't like her going off by herself but this was an emergency! "I will go quickly mama! Ali don't die on me while I'm gone! I won't forgive you if you do!" tears were forming at her eyes as she turned away to run off and get help. She vowed that she would grow up big and protect her family from ever being hurt.

Ali nodded as her consciousness drifted. "I won't die, Lava..." was all she said before she lost all consciousness for the foreseeable future from blood loss. Ali was now in the danger zone and in desperate need of a unicorn to heal her. If she was conscious and aware of the danger her life was in, she'd develop faith in some higher power, so she could pray that Lava would find help soon. As it was, she was unaware and not capable of anything, which was a mercy next to being awake and frightened and stressed out.
