My name is Kairi Hikari Takahashi

I was born a Female
My birthday is April 1, 1991
Which makes me Eighteen years old
I act like I'm lazy, most of the time. I enjoy lounging around outside and watching the clouds go by. On good days, I can keep my cool around others, and even get along. However, I can turn around at the drop of a hat and be completely catty. I don't like being teased much, unless it's by people that I respect, which isn't many. In fact, I'm a bit of a loner at times. I also have a very active side to myself, and I enjoy the occasional adventure, or even a short jog.
Relationship wise, I hate the rat for tricking my family so long ago, and haven't been able to forgive for it. Every time I see the rat, I challenge him, whether it be fighting or running, I want to beat him at something. With everyone else, I can be a good friend, but I'm cautious with who I choose to befriend. At times I am detached, which hurts people, but I'm a bit scared of trusting anyone at all. At school, I avoid contact with boys, though I still integrate alright, and even laugh sometimes.
Because of my past The curse was passed down to me from my grandfather. He died when I was five. I watched him degrade behind a closed door, for he was not allowed out of the house. A the time, I didn't sympathize with him, for everyone told me to stay away, or I would be cursed to. However, at his passing, the curse was passed to me, which was realized when I was hugged by one of my boy cousins. I instantly turned into a hideous monster, the true cat form, and he screamed, as did my mother, from whom I ran away. She found me later, and passed on the bead bracelet that would keep my true form from showing.
My mother died soon after when I turned ten. Although she would always tell me that she loved me no matter what, I knew that she couldn't stand the fact that she gave birth to a monster. She was always checking to make sure that I had my beads on, and I watched her obsession with it slowly eat away at her until she faded away. I was left alone, and for a few months, I went to live with the Rabbit family. They had a daughter who also had the curse, and we got along fine. However, I soon moved out when a family friend came and adopted me. He was a fine man who took me everywhere, traveling many places, learning. He taught me how to fight also, and has looked after me since.
I found things I hate The curse, the rat, rain, being tied down, onions, leeks, clinginess, being told what to do, idiots, bullies, and know-it-alls.
&& things I love Warm blankets, cuddling, umbrellas, sunny days, music, comfortable couches, yarn, colors, scented candles/incense, and candy.
My true love will always be No one.

I was raised around the Nasumi and Vertias families, and was called Monkeyboy quickly because of my habit on climbing on everything, even people. I grew up with Hideaki and Korsu, and, being the middle child amongst them, caused the most havoc. As time went on, my jokes became more refined and elaborate, but it just made more people angry. Because of an unfortunate 'accident' involving my school's banchou, I had to learn martial arts to protect myself. I'm now considered to be the school's banchou. ]]

Because of my past I am one of the members of the thirteen that were cursed.MY family had always been a good group. It was because of the Rat, that I am Like This. But that doesn't stop me from being good friends with him. My mother Had the curse herself. How she found a husband, and had me is still a mystery. But maybe It's one I will find out. She forged ahead in life, working for her family and even going to college after graduating high school. No one outside the family knows it, but when she was 18, she fell for an english boy on a trip abroad. He found out what she was and freaked out so completely he ran from her, screaming about demons. In his fit of fear he ran into a busy street and was struck dead instantly by a taxi cab. Ari still dreams about it sometimes, and often wonders if she even cares to be cured of her curse, if someone can't love her for what she is, regardless of what that is. Still, Ari pushed it from the forefront of her mind and continues her life as best she can. ]]

I act like [[ I am a very blunt person. I rarely beat around the bush. I must have organization. I absolutely detest disorganization. It seems that I have natural talent for things and people seem to look to me as a leader, not that I want to be. I'm a very hardworking person and like to get things done. At times I can be selfish and critical. And its been pointed out that I'm sometimes over-ambitious. I also have a very low tolerance level. ]]
Because of my past [[ I'm one of the thirteen families to be cursed. Well, actually, it was my ancestors who made the rest of us have this curse so technically it can be led through the generations and said that it's my fault for causing this curse. Not that I really care. No really, it doesn't really bother me. I've only turned into a rat once during school. And that was because a girl surprised me with a confession and before I could do anything she hugged me. Well thanks to Hideaki, that situtation was covered up and I avoided her since then. The curse was last held by my uncle, who died when I was young. My parents were very surprised when they found that I had the curse now and not one of my uncles children.
I grew up being told that the cat was our families enemy, so I grew to hate (or severely dislike) the cat. When I was told the story of our ancestors, at first I didn't believe it. But a little later I grew sick with a cold and when I grew weak, I turned into the rat. I fully believed it after and adapted to it, trying to keep females at a distance.]]

I act like Well, most of the time I am cheerful. I get along with others well. I do love to talk, alot. I am intellegent, of course. At times I can be arrogant and stubborn. I am also very picky. I am also very votaile, I change my mind alot.
Because of my past [[ Well, I was born with the curse. Can you imagine my father's shock when he went to hold his baby girl for the first time, and have her turn into a foal in his arms? Needless to say, he blamed my mother for my curse, and they had problems for awhile. My father is American, and I was born in the states. It was hard for him to decide that we should move all the way over here to be with my mother's family. He thought it would be best for me. Suprisingly enough, I grew up to be very dependent of my parents. When I was younger, I took gymnastics, upon finding out I was very agile, and In high school, I participated in track, for I can run very fast. I have recently graduated from high school, and my parents moved back to the U.S recently, taking my younger siblings with them. I live with my grandparents at the moment. They adore me and are helping me the best I can to get into some decent colleges.]]

I act like I'm a very cheerful person. I like to welcome anybody, whether they show friendliness or whether they show hostility. I know that whenever I'm down, the people I've helped or been nice to will give me a boost. That's why I'm always loyal to my friends and family and never spread rumors or gossip about other people. I am easy-going and I take a lot of pride in my studies.
Because of my past I remember the first words my mother said when I was born. " Aww...isn't that a cute puppy?...But where's my daughter? " The doctor replied " Sadly...that is your daughter. " and I turned back into human. My mother was scared, yes but she loved me because I was born from her. I then grew up a life with my mother and father watching over me. They didn't appreciate the curse I had but they knew they still had to take care of me. I lived a life that was fairly good. With many ups and downs but that's okay.

I'm pretty creative and have definite ideas about the world and the way it should be, but usually I don't have the drive to see them through. I can easily get caught up in several grand projects and not stay interested in any of them long enough to complete them. I often dabble in drawing, painting, poetry, and photography as a way to feel like I'm creating something, but I've never put in the effort to refining my raw talent. People tell me that my stuff is good, but I know that it could be so much better if I just buckled down.
As much as I take refuge in my various hobbies, I really love people. I especially enjoy helping them, listening to their problems, and stuff like that. I like to see people happy, so I really hate conflict. I also enjoy hugs and other human contact, so the curse is really pretty torturous for me. I can't stand it when one of my female friends is feeling down and I can't just hug her. Yeah, I'm not the most masculine guy ever. I don't really give a damn. ]]Because of my past [[ I have four older sisters. That adds up to a lot of catfights, a lot of waiting for the bathroom, and a lot of advice that I don't need. My Dad and I both try to take it in stride, though, even when all the women in the house make us want to scream. Since I'm the youngest, things do tend to go my way and my sisters are always willing to lend me a hand. I figure it'll come in handy if I ever have a messy break-up.
We were all pretty surprised when I turned out to be the cursed one. My bachelor uncle was the last sheep and when he died (sudden heart attack) it bypassed all my sisters and went straight to me. My siblings then had a field day hugging me so that I would turn into "the cutest little sheep ever!" Ugh. I try to live a normal life, despite difficulties. I am a [very strong-willed person with an unshakable resolve and very ambitious. I strive to be the best at anything and everything to which I commit myself and it shows. However, I am not boastful or arrogant; I let the results speak for themselves. I always make the best of every situation, good or bad. I approach everything in life with great diligence and patience, and it takes an unnatural amount of irritation to rile my spirits. I am quick to devise a plan of action and I am very slow to change my mind about anything, as my convictions are strong.]
Because of my past [I am a blooming entrepreneur. I was home-schooled until the ninth grade and then placed in the public school system to develop a broader base of friends and connections. Just two years before I entered high school, my mother passed away, succumbing to breast cancer. At eighteen, rather than continuing school, I was given ownership 10% of the family businesses. I am the creative and administrative executive for companies that do everything from industrial fabrication to freshly baked goods. While my father still retains a seat on the board of directors for his corporation, he is otherwise retired at the ripe age of 69. He remains a strong influence in my life and I am perhaps as close to him as my closest friends.]
I found things I hate... [For instance, I can't stand slovenliness, laziness, arrogance, or narcissism. I have little respect for people who won't defend their beliefs, stand up for themselves, or will give up. And I have a particular disdain for those who lack self-control and/or abuse potentially harmful substances.]
The things I love are far greater [I love science fiction and fantasy books and short stories, comedy of almost any variety, an intelligent/philosophical conversation, and linguistics. Oh, and a plan/mission/idea successfully executed.]
