Chapel

This room's door is marked only with a number of rosaries hanging from a wooden cross nailed to it. Once the door is opened, the small chapel is instantly visible, illuminated by a multitude of candles. There is a cross on the wall just beyond it, with the figure of christ hanging from it, all made out of wood. On the shrine itself is a small bust of The Holy Mother. Despite it's very catholic appearence, there are a number of holy books under the shrine for those not that way inclined. There are also small cussions to kneel on as one prays.

Cady wanders into the chapel. How long had this place lay dormant? So few Vampires avidely followed the religions which they doom was so often explained in. They used the words, damned, cursed, but they did not know the true meaning. Cady knew the meaning, he alsways had, and after centuries his piety had not dwindled, merely broadened. For a while he hed wanted nothing but death for the followers of christ, for what they did to his clans, corrupted their ancient ways and he did, indeed, still watch the stars and listened for the spirits that never called anymore more often than he gazed upon the bust of the mother of christ, or the morbid image of his last hours of suffering upon the cross, but he respected the religion as much as any. He lights the candles, one by one, but all of them are eventually lit, and he kneels, and he prays. Etched into his memory is the lords prayer, which he recites, which is then followed by a melodic one in his own native tongue, the tongue of wales, and something that was probably not christian.

Cady walks into the place, and finds the holy book digarded like a piece of trash. He picks it up, and pages are bent and the spine is damaged. He reverantly places it on the pile of books. He is angred by the disrespect some people had. There was no reason to destroy something like this simply because you do not believe in it.

Raphael walked into the chapel - he was still new to the Vampire clan and he felt sure that he could meet some new faces in here. He wasn't much of a believer in Heaven, but after all he had seen, he definately believed in Hell. He was shocked to see so many people - looming figures appearing as his eyes accustommed to the candle-lit gloom. The were books - so many books - strewn across the floor...

Her hair was coming uncurled from the dampness outside. Elena grabbed a candle, a quill and a long scroll of off-white paper. Moving past all the people in the chaple she sat down in the first row. The rain was starting to come down again and left streaks of dark water on the windows. Putting the candle by the side Elena started a sketch. This was the one place where she was inspired, maybe it was the usual emptiness of the chapel, or maybe it was the craving to be closer to heaven, Elena wasn't sure. When she was finished she folded the paper and tucked it away into her cote coat pocket. Picking up the candle she walked to the window watching the reflection of the bright red flame in the dark surface.

The noise of the usually quiet chaple was getting on her nervs. Elena turned around and just as quietly as she had come in she left. She would be back, later, closer to morning when most of the other would be sleeping. She needed to find a quiet place so she headed for the library. {exits to library}

Upon seeing the woman storm out, Raphael realised that he too had not found the reflective silence he had seeked in the chapel - He followed her into the library.

Cady once again steps into the place, not looking for a place of solitude, and not looking for answers about his damnation, but simply to pray. He kneels, and closes his eyes, and he prays. He mumbles the lords prayer, again, and once again that lilting song-prayer in his native tongue. The only difference is, today a little mortal girl is by his side. She's about 13. And he makes her pray even as she protests that she's not a christian. Not forcefulkly, he just tells her she must and she complies. Despite her argument she knew most of the lord's prayer. From her school, she says.

"Why father you must treat me like this....what have I done to fall from your grace???" she said softly

Cady looks at the woman in an obvious state of distress, "You sold your soul to satan for eternal life, and every day you pay the price with your lust for blood, and every day you deepen your sin by quenching it. That is what it is to be a vampire, and the strong accept that, while the weak deny it..." Cady says, coldly.

Athena looks at the men next to her "You know nothing about my past so don't sound like you know me or what had happen that night" She said trying not to rise for voice and trying to keep her emotions down

As she walked into the much less crowded chapel she saw a woman on her knees and a man talking. It seems that they were both vampires and arguing about the downsides of being one of the night walkers. "This is going to be interesting." She said to herself softly and took a seat in the back watching the two. Taking a piece of paper out she sketched the figures of the two and their shadows, Elena found the whole scene inspiring.
