[11:08] [c=#1CCCFF]|[/c][c=#9C01EF]DarkHeartedSorrows[/c][c=#1CCCFF]|[/c]: Sadiki's jaws weree firmly clamped together in her anxious state. She was so nervous to be around the cubs, especially without Nazih there to calm her. She knew they didn't, couldn't, trust her her yet, but that just made her anxiety worse. As she neared the den her heart began to beat faster. Which cubs would be home today? She sort of hoped only one or two would be there. It was easier to connect with a few cubs at a time than five all at the same time, right? God she hoped so. She wanted them to like her. She wanted them to call out to her as their mother. But, she wasn't sure how long it was going to take to get there. As she finally got to the den she peeked in, looking around. "Hello?" Maybe no one was home. Then she could just... breathe. Relax.

[11:34] [/Yin-Bug]: Miw-Sher was normally a trouble maker. She was easily very rough and tumble sort of girl. However when it comes to her being alone, she wasn't that bad... She had no one to get into trouble with. Also when it came to it she could be the sweetest lioness... To her adult family members however. She sighed through her nose and rolled over where she was sleeping. Some of her siblings went with her brother and the others went with Rana. She was sleeping... So she was left alone.
She didn't mind...
But she wanted some one to cause trouble with. Or atleast she wanted some one to spend time with. She stretched out her paws some and then her ears perked up at the sound of some one. "Mama?" She sqeaked as she narrowed her eyes trying to see who was approching her

[11:39] [c=#1CCCFF]|[/c][c=#9C01EF]DarkHeartedSorrows[/c][c=#1CCCFF]|[/c]: Sadiki's ears fell back, hoping that the term Mama truly was directed at her. She smiled at the cub. Miw-Sher had such an interesting personality as far as Sadiki had seen. She could be devious and she could be sweet, and Saiki thought that made her a fun little female. Hopefully they could get along in the long run. "Hello Miw." She moved toward the cub, licking the top of her head. "Did Rana take the others out?" Oh Gods was Rana a saint.

[12:02] [/Yin-Bug]: Miw-Sher grinned at Sadiki moved toward her. She knew that Sadiki wasn't her mother. But she didn't care for her real mother. There had to be a reason that she was here with her father and not her mother. She had heard that Nazih wanted all of them. What ever the reason she liked this new mother more anyway.
She crawled forward a bit, smiling up at Sadiki, giggling a bit before smiling up at the older female. "Yes she did, Daddy took some of them too." She nodded with a growing smile before licking her 'mother's maw a few times.

With a happy purr she pulled the cub toward her and held her close. "Good. That leaves time for just you and me today, Hm?" She groomed Miw-Sher's ears, humming softly. If she could do this will all the cubs she'd be in heaven. "What do you want to do today?" that seemed like a good question to ask. It left it open for Miw to decide exactly what would make her happy on that particular day.

[12:23] [/Yin-Bug]: Miw-sher grinned at Sadiki before grinning with a large smile still on her face. "Yeah! Its only me today." She smiled at she was pulled closer to the older female. She closed her eyes before purring quietly. Enjoying the grooming that was being done to her. She kneaded the ground a few times , a smile still on her face as she did. She enjoyed the times that she got to spend time with just one person at a time. She had four other siblings! That she knew of anyway. She had hear about the other two that went with her mother.
"I duno." She shrugged before looking at Sadiki for a moment before closing her eyes and purring again. "What do you want to do?" She asked quietly as she looked at her Mother

A real mother would teach her daughter how to hunt, but that was not Sadiki's way. But... maybe she could teach her something of what the wise creature had once taught her as a young lioness. "Miw..." She began, opening her indigo eyes to look down at the cub sincerely. "I want to teach you something. It was taught to me by a creature I met in my travels when I was very young and had lost my family." She grinned, showing her teeth. "It's important for you to know, but we'll have to travel."

[12:38] [/Yin-Bug]: She laid her head down a little more, laying it carefully on her paws before looking back at Sadiki with curious eyes. She was going to be taught something she wanted to know what it was. Her eyes grew brighter as Sadiki talked, apparently this was in fact very important. She then got a little more excited. "Yea! I want to go." She grinned as she rubbed her face against Sadiki's chin playfully

[12:46] [c=#1CCCFF]|[/c][c=#9C01EF]DarkHeartedSorrows[/c][c=#1CCCFF]|[/c]: Sadiki purred and nipped at her 'daughter', happy to see her so excited. "Alright." She pawed at the cub's tail, thinking. She'd need to find a herd of... well, antelope was the obvious choice. She knew where to go. "Alright, follow me. And please understand that we won't be hunting on this trip." She ruffled the cubs short, feminine mane and stood. "You ready?" And she turned and began to head out of the den.

[12:50] [/Yin-Bug]: Miw giggled as she was nipped at she purred once more before closing her eyes for the moment pawing at her 'mothers' paws. She giggled before looking up slightly confused but nodded. "Alright no hunting." She grinned again before standing up stumbling a a bit as she followed the older lioness a smile on her face.
"Where are we going?" She asked curiously weaving between Sadiki's paws. Grinning softly.

Mothering, birthing, mates.... it was all a new world to Sadiki. It was amazing how easily one could revert back to cub-like wonder. "We're going to watch the prey and I'm going to teach about them. But, first, I'm going to tell you about my cubhood on the way there." She nodded. That seemed the best way to start. She continued to walk as she began. "You see, I had two mothers in my time of growing up."

Miw's ears perked up more as she looked at the lioness before flicking her hair out of her eyes then looked around at her mother talked. She was very interested on what the lioness was saying and also what she was going to be learning soon. She flicked her tail around behind her more before trotting just a little faster to keep up with her mom. Nudging against her mother's front paws. She nipped at it slightly a few times but just gently, she was doing it in a loving way.
Then she blinked a few times. "Alright..." Thens she blinked before looking up at Sadiki with a grin. "Really?! Like how I have two Mommies!" She giggled speeding up a little bit before slowing down to the normal speed once more. She didn't really care that much about her real mother, she didn't know her that much, but one thing that was for sure was that she really loved Sadiki as a mother she didn't like how the others felt about it but she loved where she was now.

Sadiki nodded at the young one and smiled. "My birth mother raised me for several months. I don't remember much about her, but I know I look a lot like her. She loved me and my siblings very much, and I enjoyed my time with her." Sadiki's fleeting memories of her birth mother, her predator mother, were fond and were what made it easier for her to embrace her nature.
"But..." She paused, looking toward Miw very seriously as she kept a slow pace, "the pride we lived with was attacked. It was a scary experience, and I was left very scared in the place where our pride once stood. Everyone else was either killed or chased off." She shook her head, not wanting to go into much more detail about it. "It's a terrible thing to lose your mother, Kitten." She nuzzled Miw's head softly, lovingly. "Even with as little time I spent with her, I miss her terribly."

Mi-shew looked at her again before grinning. "Like I look a lot like mommy." She giggled at the thought. She noticed that her and her mother had a lot in common now. She hoped that her and Sadiki could stay close for a very long time, she would always enjoy the closeness with this mother. "Did you have a lot of siblings?" She asked as she looked up at her before tripping for a moment then kept walking keeping her head held high. "Daddy said that he lost his family too..." Her voice trailed for a moment, she really hoped that they never joined a pride she would be scared to join one.
She realized that she was going faster than her mother, she slowed down keeping up again with her front paws. She then looked up smiling just very slightly at hearing her nickname but it was a bit of a sad smile. "I don't want to loose you Mommy." She said simply, and sweetly. She really wouldn't know what to do. "You can't leave daddy." She squeaked slightly.

Sadiki didn't doubt what Miw-sher said was true. Miw looked very little like Nazih. "I had three brothers." She nodded. "But I don't remember them. I can't even recall their names." Her voice was sad, quiet. She wished she knew their names. It would make her feel more connected with her past.
She smiled at the cubs concerns and shook her head. "You won't lose me. I'll always be here for you and for your siblings, and for Nazih. I could never leave him." Her smiled grew a little as she launched into the next part of her story.
"I didn't really move for a day or so, staying exactly where the attacking pride had left me. I was still very much helpless. I had no hunting experience, little worldly knowledge." She shook her head. "But there were a herd of antelope that leaved near by. Even though my pride hunted them for generations, one kind female finally approached me and took me in. She was the one who gave me my name." Though strange, Sadiki knew she'd never have survived had the herd not taken her in.

"Brothers are yucky some times." She stuck her tongue out for a moment at the idea but then giggled softly. She loved her siblings, in fact her and one of her brothers always went at it, however they got along very good, they always ended up falling asleep on each other and sharing their meals. She yawned softly before nipping at her mother's ankles again. "I'm sorry Mommy I wish that your brothers were still alive..." Her voice trailed for a moment before she trotted a little slower once more.
"Really?" She squeaked as her mother said that she was always going to be there, she smiled softly before licking his maw. "Thank you mama." She said quickly nuzzling her again.
She looked at her mother for a moment before looking down, thinking about how what would normally be prey helped her mother, to Miw that was pretty amazing. "Wow mama. Thats cool. I'm glad she found you and took you in." She grinned with a nod, proving that she was glad her mother was currently here.

"Yes." She laughed. "Brother's are yucky sometimes. But they can be good friends and good allies." She nodded. "Not to mention they're easy to pick on." She winked, knowing that that was exactly what Miw-Sher liked to do.
Sadiki knew they were reaching the herds current living areas. It was not her herd, but their scent was similar, as antelopes all seemed to be descended from one familiar god in most religions, and it was shown in their scent. It was comforting to her, as it often was. Antelopes were the one prey she still refused to hunt or eat.
"It was pretty cool. I lived like they did." She said, stopping and looking around. "I ate their foods, grasses and berries, and I lived in fear of predators... us." She looked down at Miw-Sher. "They live much different from us, but in some ways they are the same." She laid down then. "We'll wait here for the herd to come this way."

Miw giggled again as she looked at Sadiki, she had a feeling that her mother knew she liked to pick on others, despite her tries to behave herself around adults. But she shrugged off the idea. "They are." She giggled plainly before looking around a bit. She was still wondering exactly where they were going. She caught scent of what should be food, but she never had it before... Her mommy and daddy hunted down a lot of different things for her however she didn't know of what ever they were coming up to.
When her mother looked down at her she looked up at the same time nodding along with her. "Wow. I tasted grass, it tasted yucky." She made a face as if to prove her dislike for it. "But flowers taste worse." Yeah she went through that whole eat everything that she saw phase. She then looked at her mom and flopped down on her haunches. "Can we rest for a little bit mommy while we wait, My paws are crying..." She looked down at her and could feel them throb a bit.

Sadiki pulled Miw into her paws. "Yes." She smiled. "We'll rest until they come." She began grooming Miw's ears as she thought of how to continue the story. She knew that this was important, but her throat seemed constricted.
"Uhm." Yes, that was intellegent. "One day, just before my adolescence, my herd was attacked by lions. It had happened before, we were prey, afterall, but this time I couldn't keep up. The lions chased my herd away, and my mother couldn't find me in the stampede. They disappeared and didn't come back." Her ears fell back against her head and she frowned. It was painful and made her chest sting. She missed her herd so much.
"After that I wandered for a while, but I still kept my herd's beliefs. I didn't hunt, I didn't kill."

Miw smiled softly at the idea of her being able to rest. When her mother pulled her closer and started to clean her, Miw purred quietly, laying down in her paws enjoying the attention for the moment. She never really got to spend this time with any of her relatives other than her siblings when they snuck out for a while.
She blinked at her mother started to tell her story again. She couldn't believe that her mother went through all of that. She wouldn't be able to do that, not at all. She looked at her and then put at paw on her nose. "You lost your other mommy." Her own ears folded back as she looked at her mother with a sad face. She would be very sad if either of her parents died, or her grandmother or her other mother her real mother...
She nudged her mother before looking forward once more and down at her paws. She wished she could have met one of her mother's parents. That would be very awesome. She knew Nazih's mother but Rana adopted him... Her thoughts filled her head as her eyes started to open and close slowly, shed was slowly starting to fall asleep

Sadiki barely noticed her step-daughter nodding off, she was wrapped up in her story.
"I'd never want you or your siblings to be alone the way I was. It was terrible. I became very sick. I hadn't eaten meat for a little too long, and my body needed it. I got so sick that I couldn't move, and I stayed in the same area for days." She shook her head. The memory was fresh in her mind, she couldn't let it go. "But, I came across a very old and wise animal. He explained to me that as long as I respected the prey I ate, I could never disrespect the memory of either of my mothers. That is what keeps me going today. I can be the predator I am and still believe in a natural, caring lifestyle."
She nuzzled her step daughter's head, taking a deep breath. It wasn't the whole of what happened, but it was the part that mattered.

Miw did her best to stay awake while her mother talked. To a point she really, really wanted to know how it ended, well to a point she knew how it ended she ended up with ehr father. Now if only she knew his story. She only knew parts of it. The parts that she could figure out easily or the parts that she was told or overheard.
Her eyes tarted to flicker a few times before she twitched. "Mmm." she purred quietly before she started to drift further and further into sleep. Her head fell on her mother's side before she fell deeper into sleep. Only to dream of the story that her mother told her. She hoped that she would never lose either of her mothers.

Sadiki was about to continue her story when she felt the little head fall onto her. With a soft smile she looked down at the sleeping face of her little Kitten and purred to her. The end of the story would have to come another day. For now, it was nap time for her little one.
Gently Sadiki grabbed Miw in her jaws and lifted her off the ground enough to move her. It was amazing how light the cub was as Sadiki moved her to the shade of a near by tree and curled around her. For a moment she was curious if she'd ever be this close with all of Nazih's cubs. Somehow she doubted it.
With the sleeping one curled beside her, she felt her eyelids slowly slipping. Before too long she was asleep, dreaming of being a happy family.
