~Yami No Bakura~ Seven thirty in the bright early morning. Seven. Thirty. In the ********. Early. Morning. That was when he was woken this morning! It wasn’t too bright to be honest! Daylight savings, Bakura knew, yet, he never truly bothered to fully understand it. Sure, he knew the hikari had school on this ungodly cold day. But they were going all over the place, breakfast, changing, or whatever the kid was doing. The spirit of the Millennium Ring wanted sleep; wanted some peace and quiet. And that was pretty obvious, and shouldn’t be much to demand. At the very least, the spirit thought so. After vanishing into shadow realm because of the duel between Yami no Malik, and Bakura himself. He had returned. As usual. But his motives and plans were not to be set out yet. And..had to be put on a pause. He had..strangely gotten to know his hikari, reasons beyond his own mind, but he had yet to regret it. Though, not that well. He wouldn’t blame the hikari if they were still terrified or cautious of him. Said hikari of his was in class right now, leaving a tired and irritated yami alone in their soul-room, attempting to get more sleep, yet was failing miserably. So, with a hint of sulky-ness, the long silver haired yami sat in his soul room. To rewind slightly, Bakura had mentioned that his plans had been put to a pause. They have been, due to a strange disturbance in the Shadow Realm. There was something weird going on in there, though Bakura wasn’t sure if it was because of the banishment of Yami no Malik to the Shadow Realm that caused this, or something else. Whatever it was, it gave off a bad vibe. At least nobody had come to him demanding answers and what the hell he has done to Shadow Realm..and what he’s plotting now. CoughThePharaohCough. Bakura himself had taken a look around Shadow Realm, and it seems, apart from giving off a bad vibe, it hadn’t done anything. There wasn’t any strange reactions that his Millennium Ring had picked up either. So right now, he didn’t put too much thought into it. But, with it being somewhat unstable and strange, he didn’t feel like doing anything that would further tip the balance of that realm. It could mean disaster for all holders of the millennium items, and spirits. Lunch arrived sooner than Bakura expected. He had been musing to himself the entire morning. To some, like Bakura himself, would scowl and consider it a waste of time. As he noticed Ryou approach the midget pharaoh and their gang, he decided to tune them out again. Meaningless friendship chatter was boring to him. Always have been, and always will be. So right now, unless Ryou was to call for him, he wouldn’t be out at all. But why would Ryou ask for him anyways? Unless it was a favor or something..But whatever. Having already gone through half of the day successfully, and sitting down at a table with his friends for lunch, Yuugi had been taking out his homemade lunch when he spotted Ryou walking into the cafeteria. “Ryou!” He called over cheerfully, raising a hand into the air and waving to signal the friend of his over. They were a friend, though they don’t usually speak much, Yuugi was determined to change that. The more friends, the better right? And Ryou was a nice person, only their yami was slightly dangerous. Perhaps not more than Malik’s darkness, but none-the-less. A friend was a friend. “Come sit with us! There’s always room, and we don’t mind.” He seemed to have decided for the group, though did expect his friends to caution him, or even his way too protective yami to. Not that he didn’t like it, it was nice, but he could take care of himself too.

{ Y a m i • n o • Y u u g i } "Late at night, things I thought I put behind me haunt my mind. I just know there's no escape now, once it sets it's eyes on you.
But I won't run, have to stare it in the eye.
It's all around, getting stronger, coming closer into my world. I can feel that it's time for me to face it, can I take it?
Though this might just be the ending of the life I held so dear but I won't run, there's no turning back from here." xxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxx •xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx One would think that being around Yuugi for such a long period of time he would be used to getting up before the crack of dawn, but apparently that wasn’t true. Though he had to admit it was getting easier. He had to give his Aibou credit, school seemed to be a tough obstacle to get through. Not only was his Hikari up before Ra had risen the sun, but he endured hours of schooling, something he thought only Seth could sit through.
The ancient spirit growled to himself. There he went remembering things he didn’t know. It had been happening a lot lately. Ever since Battle City, things seemed to have shifted. He had been having off memories that didn’t seem quiet his own; like he should have known what was happening, yet the true meaning was just out of his reach.
And damn was it frustrating. His aggravation was apparently displayed quiet a bit lately, seeing as Yuugi kept asking if he was alright. The Ex-Pharaoh had felt bad about not telling his smaller counterpart the truth, but how does one explain something they themselves don't understand. Yuugi didn't need to worry over it either. It wasn't the small teen's issue, and he had already been troubling over discovering his lost memories. Bringing up his frustration on the memory gaps would only worry his Aibou more.
Then there was the Shadow Realm. It felt… different. And the spirit couldn’t quiet put his figure on it. Crimson eyes narrowed at the wall of his soul room. If he had to guess there was a certain Tomb Robber behind it. He would have to make sure that Yuugi kept his distance from the other spirit’s reincarnation.
While he himself didn’t hold a grudge against the Theif’s hikari, he didn’t want to put Yuugi in any risk. This unfortunately meant having to pay attention while his light was at school, something he usually tuned out. He didn’t need to know any of it, he was a spirit. What was he going to do with mathematics anyway?
Things seemed to be going smoothly though, even if it wasn’t lunch yet. Ryou usually didn’t sit with his Aibou and friends anyway, so he probably had little to worry about. But if the Theif tried something, he would be ready. The Tomb Robber was known for his tricks, and he wouldn’t be surprised if the other spirit tried something to get his Puzzle.
Too bad the ancient Pharaoh’s worst fears happened. Yuugi should have known better than to call that thing’s hikari over to eat. //Aibou! What are you doing?// It was moments like these he was grateful for their mind connection. He pulled himself out of his soul room, so that he could keep a closer eye on things. No one else could see him, which at times like this was another thing the spirit was thankful for.
Crimson eyes watched the albino stare at his light for a moment before walking over and taking a seat next to Yuugi tentatively. The spirit bit back a growl, eyeing the Millennium Ring cautiously. He’d be damned if he let that Ra be damned Tomb Robber touch his Puzzle, or his Aibou.•xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx Things had been awfully quiet lately. His darker self hadn't been around much at all since things with the dark being on the blimp. Though he wasn't complaining about the silence, it gave him a chance to do his homework. A part of him oddly enough missed the dark spirit. While he was mean, and at times cruel, he had his soft moments, but he wasn't about to voice that to his Yami.
School was going by slowly. Most of his classes he was doing well in, and some he even found easy. He wasn't one of the smart kids in the school, but he did well enough to make the honor roll... well at least he had until resent events. His darker half's night wanderings took a toll on him, and his school work suffered. Things were back to normal now and his grades were back to where they should be, so he wasn't too worried.
Lunch came much to the young albino's joy. He didn't do much during lunch -- usually eating alone -- but it meant the day was half over. Not that he did much out of school either.
Today seemed to just be full of surprises when Yuugi called him over. He enjoyed the groups company, but the tension between his darker part, and Yuugi's was obvious. So to make it easier he avoided the gang of friends. "Um... Hello, Yuugi." He smiled, and he approached the table and taking a seat. It was a bit odd, but things didn't seem to have exploded yet. "So... uh..." He fiddled with his bag for a moment, trying to be polite and make conversation. "How is your day going?" He smiled, mentally wondering when he had forgotten how to make conversation.

~Yami No Bakura~ /Mou hitori no boku..!/ Yuugi’s reply came in a slight scolding tone. /Don’t call somebody a ‘thing’!/ It wasn’t Yuugi’s fault that something his darkness would rant to themselves that much that he would be capable of hearing it at times. On the flip side, it would happen to him too, but he would rarely rant about one thing or another. /I’m just offering Ryou to eat with us, he’s always eating alone and it isn’t nice to be sitting alone to eat when everyone else has friends./ And doesn’t Yuugi know that best.
/It’ll be okay!/
Despite talking to the concerned spirit that seemed to be concerned enough to pull out from the puzzle, Yuugi still smiled as cheerfully as ever to Ryou. “My day? Eto..Classes with teachers droning on, but you still got to listen. I’m just glad it’s half way over, to be honest. And your day?” He laughed softly. Seeing Ryou yet to have lunch, Yuugi looked to Ryou’s bag, to the cafeteria line-up, then back to Ryou. “Do you make your own lunch too, Ryou-kun? Or do you buy from the cafeteria?” Yuugi gave a light grimace remembering when he ate cafeteria food. “There’s just some stuff that you can’t get from the caf. Ever.” He could tell Ryou was nervous, and truthfully, he was too. The tension between their yamis would always make it hard for them to be friends, but he could always try..! And..his hikari actually went to sit with the pharaoh’s midget. Oh ******** joy. Can this day get any better? Bakura ran a pale through his silver hair, tugging through the slightly tangled hair at the end. This way, he wasn’t going to get any rest until after lunch. Just because he had gotten slightly more considerate—without actually letting Ryou or anybody know he has, doesn’t mean he should get all buddy-buddy with the pharaoh. And neither should Ryou with the pharaoh’s midget!
Though unable to see Yami, it wasn’t really hard to feel the presence of the puzzle locked onto the ring for any obvious or non-obvious activity. So the ring does return to it’s owner, and after Battle City, despite Yuugi keeping it safe, which Ryou should thank Yuugi for—not that Bakura would say it, the Millennium Ring had moved itself from the chosen kid’s bag and back to Ryou. Surprise, surprise. How many times must they attempt to rid of him before they realize that the ring has the ability, and was it’s natural habit to return to it’s owner, called for or uncalled for? Guess never.
Seeing he was up, and was in no way about to let the pharaoh go and mind crush his host; which he still needs by the way, Bakura was going against his earlier decision to tune the cafeteria out. Though, out of amusement, and yes, through all that planning, amusement was needed at times, or he’d be bored; and a bored evil Yami on the rampage was not a pretty thing. But again, out of amusement, Bakura wondered if Ryou could feel the presence of the spirit of the puzzle. Then again, it wasn’t like that particular other spirit was glaring at Ryou..just Bakura. Troublesome, worrisome pharaoh. Then again, having helped Yuugi before with Duke Devlin(>< I’m referring to the manga), Bakura would call Yuugi helping him keeping the millennium Ring safe as a debt repaid. He could imagine the young boy not having told the pharaoh about it, as even Bakura could guess their horrified reaction. Not to mention, that would hold Yami back from going against him, and where was the fun in that?
//One wrong move, hikari..// Bakura drawled out, his slight amused tone present. //You'll have the pharaoh breathing down your neck..not that you don’t already, but you can guess what would happen.// Despite he was scaring them, it didn’t mean he wouldn’t stop it before it’s too late..or have himself use as a shield. Mind Crushes. Silly things, in Bakura’s thoughts. It wasn’t as strong as the ancient pharaoh was able to do it, and probably wouldn’t be able to penetrate Bakura’s mind completely. But how amusing would it be right now..to make the ring act just a little, to see how the pharaoh would react. Hmm..He just might do it.
//Stupid light..what were you thinking, sitting with that midget..// Bakura too, was thinking that there was a slight possibility that this was a ploy, but he didn't put into consideration of Yuugi being kind-hearted. What was the pharaoh getting at? To keep their friends close, and enemies even closer?
….No, that was usually only himself, not the pharaoh.
They're too dumb to think of that anyways.~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~

Though this might just be the ending of the life I held so dear but I won't run, there's no turning back from here." xxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxx •xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx The presence of the Ring was obvious. He could feel it’s power near by, even if he couldn’t see it. That feeling that made the hair on the back of his neck stand, and tugged at the back of his mind. He had grown so used to feeling that threat, and made sure to be on guard whenever it was close. It shouldn’t have surprised him that the Ring had some how gotten back to Ryou. After all the times they had separated the two, the Thief somehow always wormed his way back to the albino boy. Weather that was Bakura’s power or that of the Ring the Ancient spirit didn’t know, though he supposed it didn’t really matter. Either way, both meant danger. //That Tomb Robber is a thing. Ra knows he’s not an actual being.// He knew it was mean, and would do little against his Aibou’s innocent mind, yet it still felt nice to vent. The Ra be damned Thief didn’t deserve any recognition, praise for his latest robbery or as simple as being a human being. That was another thing that annoyed the ex-Pharaoh. He loathed Bakura, yet if someone asked him why he couldn’t say. Now he could shrug it off on the excuse that he had threatened his Aibou’s life and tried to steal his Puzzle on numerous occasions. But if he thought about it, he had felt bad vibes coming from the smaller albino before the Robber had made himself known. He should remember why there had been such a hatred when he first met the other spirit. There was something, he knew, the damn Thief had done, and it frustrated the spirit to no end that he didn’t know what it was. Things seemed to go smoothly enough, well until someone came to stand behind his Aibou. Crimson eyes watched as Kaiba Seto started talking to Yuugi. The spirit couldn’t help but roll his eyes, so the brunet wanted another match. He was still after his former title. Well he’d deal with the young CEO later. He had more important things to deal with other than kicking Kaiba’s a**. Pushing up a bit, the old Pharaoh thought it was time to give Yuugi a break. That and it was easier to make sure neither Bakura or Kaiba did something to his hikari. “ I wasn’t aware you were so eager to loose again, Kaiba.”The look on the brunets face was priceless, if he did say so himself. “ I wont.” He glared before leaving the lunch room. Crimson eyes rolled at the taller teens antics, so positive no one can touch him. Kaiba gave off such a proud and arrogant aura so much so it was obvious how vulnerable the other was. Lucky for the brunet no one else seemed to notice. The rest of lunch seemed to go by without a lot of issues. While he didn’t pay a lot of attention to the conversation going on with his hikari, he did keep his focus on the Ring. If it was some kind of ploy on the Thief’s side, he would be ready. Luckily school was almost over, and the ex-Pharaoh wouldn’t have to worry so much when Yuugi was back at the Game Shop. •xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx Ryou nodded as Yuugi explained the usual that was school. ”Practically the same, boring yet mandatory.” The albino pulled his lunch from his bag, setting it out within a small area of the now over crowded table. ”Oh I bring my own.” He smiled, ”I’m pretty sure the stuff they make is some kind of bio hazard.” At the sudden warning in his voice he jumped. He couldn’t help it that the spirit of the Ring kept him on edge. //I’m not the one who makes the wrong movies.// It was the truth. He didn’t steal and pillage, that was the spirit’s hobby. Ryou would much rather stay at home and read, or watch a movie. //Well… Yuugi was nice to ask…// He was sure his cheeks were heating up, and he was thankful for the tall brunet who was currently distracting everyone. Honestly, he wasn’t sure why he had accepted Yuugi’s invitation, yes it was a nice thing to do… but he could have politely declined. It was probably what he should have done. He could feel the tension rolling of his darkness and that of Yuugi’s. At least lunch was almost over, only a few more minutes and he wouldn’t have to worry about either spirit at the other’s neck.

~Yami No Bakura~ Unable to reply to his yami as a certain tall, very tall, CEO came looming over him, Yuugi would have this sweatdrop over his head if he was in an anime. And they had to come in from behind him too! They should try out for a horror film..the have the natural talent. Not that Yuugi would say something so mean outloud though. Can’t they just all be friends? Guess not. The day everyone will be friends is when his yami and Ryou’s yami end up as lovers! Psh..like that would ever happen. Though it was quite an amusing thought, Yuugi had to admit. Thankfully, Yuugi had been thinking this while the former pharaoh had taken over for him to speak to Kaiba, who knows what the darkness would have said if they heard it! Hopefully, they didn’t and had been too busy..
As soon as that was dealt with, Yuugi turned his attention back to Ryou. Mostly Ryou. He had to mumble a ‘/If Ryou’s yami isn’t an actual being, then aren’t you the same? I mean, you’re both spirits, right?/’ to Yami. The other was being too mean. Then again, it wasn’t without reason, he understood that Bakura, as it seems to be what they call him, or ‘Tomb Robber’ as Yami puts it, had done quite a few things that would be condemning towards them. Everyone deserves a chance or two?
Yuugi had to laugh at Ryou’s comment. “Yeah, wonder if they put radioactive things in it, and how many of us would turn into Spiderman or something similar within the next year.” He grinned. The conversation went on as they ate, and it seems Yuugi was perfectly content with it. “I guess doing this isn’t that bad, maybe you can sit with me again tomorrow?” Yuugi asked as the bell rang. /How is it that you can be somewhat civil to Kaiba, but not Ryou’s yami?/ He then mused to the pharaoh, suddenly in the middle of his chat with Ryou, seeing it just came to mind. Able to recognize that boring yet ridiculous voice, Bakura didn’t really need to have Ryou look over to make sure it was who he thought it was. /Wrong moves depends on how you look at it. And who's judging./ Bakura commented back, rolling his eyes to himself. Of course, for someone who never explains their actions, he was easy to be misunderstood and branded a villain. But, Bakura welcomed the title easily, along with the many that he has. And the other jumping at his voice! Pathetic. Bakura believed that he wasn’t that scary, but, wasn’t about to complain. At least, as long as the other was still scared of them, he didn’t have to fear they were going to fight back and prove as an obstacle in his later plans.
At the next thing that Ryou said in reply, all Bakura did was scoff. Of course Yuugi was nice to ask, who else? The pharaoh? Oh please. But seeing after the most annoying CEO had left, Bakura let Ryou continue their little conversation with Yuugi, while he tried to think to himself. Only, it didn’t turn out too well when all he could feel was the puzzle’s unrelenting grasp on the ring. Cursing under his breath in annoyance, Bakura’s frown remained as the bell rung. Then a smirk crossed his face all of a sudden. But, he did let Ryou answer Yuugi’s question on whether they wanted to come sit with them tomorrow.
Pushing Ryou back into the young boy’s soulroom without a word, the thief stood up, putting Ryou’s packed up empty lunch box away. Oh yes, he could act very civil mind you, and perfectly like Ryou too. But, that was not his point in coming out. It was..merely to let the pharaoh know their actions did not got unnoticed. Dark brown eyes, now with a hint of sinister running through them smirked to Yuugi. “By the way. Let your ‘mou hitori no boku’ know..If he’s going to keep staring, he’s going to make me blush.” Oh yes, he said it. And it was obvious he didn’t mean it literally, it was a tone that said Bakura knew what he was doing, and well, that probably indicated what he was going to say and what he meant..whether he actually meant that or not, he’d leave that to the former pharaoh. As obvious as it was, his mission was only to disturb him.
The ex-thief king took Ryou’s bag and headed from the cafeteria without waiting for a response from Yuugi or Yami. Yes, he had to be immature, so what? And yes, Bakura hated, no, loathed. Hated was too close of a word. Bakura loathed the pharaoh. He knew that the pharaoh had no idea why, and that their memories had not been fully returned. But this tomb robber’s memory was perfectly intact. And because of that, he hated them. If he didn’t, he might have offered assistance for their memory, and Yami would come to him for help. But, that seemed too impossible at this moment, and Bakura would very much watch the pharaoh have to grit their teeth with thundering headaches over their memories. Poor thing didn’t even remember their name. But Bakura did know their name, and he had always wondered when would be a good time to rub it in their face. Perhaps when the pharaoh does have one of those headaches he could imagine them having, seeing as Bakura awoke without his memories too, but they had all came back to him through one night and one intensive headache. Therefore, he could say the same would happen to Yami, and that..That would be the best time to rub it in.
As soon as he was gone from the cafeteria, he let Ryou back the control of the body. /All done. Now I can actually sleep./ Bakura smirked widely to himself leaning upon a staircase in his soulroom. He was..obviously happy with what he did.~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~

When he got the chance he was going to strangle the little b*****d. It took all he had not to take over and storm after the psycho albino and put him in his place. If it weren’t for all the witnesses, the people that would undoubtedly get hurt in the chaos, and Yuugi he would have. Sure, the ancient Pharaoh knew the other was joking. Bakura blush? For one that was bullshit, and two the Thief didn’t have blood. And he certainly wasn’t looking at that pathetic waist. Correction he was looking at the Ring to make sure the two handed little freak didn’t try to pull anything. After what just happened, the Pharaoh was more than sure the Robber had something up his sleeve. The spirit of the Puzzle didn’t voice his concern. Yuugi would just point out it was him being paranoid again, and give him a talk about being more open and friendly towards people. Though he had to admit, he’d take a hundred of Yuugi’s speeches as long as he could never hear one form that annoying brunette girl Yuugi insisted on hanging out with. Anzu, now there was a person he would just love to Mind Crush. It wasn’t until Yuugi was safely in his next class that the spirit answered Yuugi’s questions. //For one, Aibou. I am nothing like that idiotic Rob Raider. He had no morals and no respect.// The crimson eyes spirit couldn’t help but cross his arms, leaning against the wall of his soul room as he glared at the adjacent one. //And Kaiba is easy to read. He puts up a front but his intentions are obvious.//The teacher started yakking, and wanting silence he blocked his connection with his Aibou. It wasn’t that he wanted to ignore the short teen, he just couldn’t take the constant monotone drowning. Sighing, he rubbed his temples, a flash of memories coming to him. It was happening again. The short flash of a face, or a place. Something he felt he should know, but didn’t. He could never quiet see it or hear it, but it was there…. just out of his reach. And no matter how deep he went into his soul room, or how hard he tried to think nothing ever came of it. A frustrated growl left him, fist slamming against the wall he was leaning against. It had been happening for a little over a week now and each time it was more aggravating than the next. Did the damn Robber have something to do with it? Was it some kind of plot of his to take his Puzzle? If so, the ex-Pharaoh would be getting to the bottom of it. He wasn’t afraid of the pathetic spirit or his Ring. He had his Puzzle, and his powers if he needed them. One way or another he was getting to the bottom of things, and soon! •xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx Ryou blinked at Yuugi’s question, pondering it for a moment before nodding ”Sure. I’ll see you tomorrow.” He could feel himself being pulled backward as the words left his mouth. And things had been going so well. His dark half hadn’t tried anything with Yuugi or his spirit. And now, just as he was about to leave, Bakura felt the need to come out. //No, don‘t!// It was too late now. All he could do was cross his fingers and hope his darker counterpart didn’t do anything rash. The albino couldn’t help the slight tinge of color coming to his cheeks. Did he want to know what Bakura meant? No, no he really didn’t. Though he was curious. Could the spirits see each other? He could always feel the presence of the Puzzle, but the only time he could see the spirit was when he took control of Yuugi. He had never asked if Yuugi could see Bakura, but he didn’t think he could based on the other’s lack of attention when the spirit came out. But perhaps the spirits could see each other. It made sense. He could see Yuugi, and everyone else that was alive. Why couldn’t the dead see one another… Were the spirits dead, or just lost souls? Come to think of it, there was a lot about things that the albino hikari didn’t know which he probably should. Though he wouldn’t be asking Bakura. His spirit would probably just laugh at him. He didn’t say anything when he gained control of his body again. The class was easy, and he was too busy thinking over things and acting like he was paying attention. Before he knew it though, school was over. Heaving a sigh, Ryou gathered his books and bag and ready to go home. It would be nice to just sit and read for awhile. He had gotten a new book the other day which he had yet to start. •xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx xxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxx "Those who are dead are not dead, they're just living in my head. { Y U U G I M O T O U } Yuugi’s jaw had dropped at the sudden change in Ryou, but to realize it was Bakura. Wait, was it Bakura all along or just that sentence? He watched in shock as Bakura, or Ryou, or..one of them left the cafeteria. What..was that? His yami was staring..so..to..it would make Bakura blush? What? The poor boy was utterly confused with the issue. It didn’t make sense to him at all! But still, he quickly packed his stuff and went for his class, noticing that his yami was now silent. That..probably wasn’t a good thing.
But as it seemed after Yami had their say, they closed off the link to make it final. Sighing to himself, Yuugi paid as much attention in class as possible, though his mind couldn't help but wander to what his darkness had said. If Yami didn't even know the tomb raider that much, then how would Yami know if that's really how they were like? Kaiba was easy to read because the two actually became somewhat acquainted. So if their intentions were obvious, then Bakura's wasn't? /He can't be that bad..I mean, the dark Bakura did help me once..He said we were friends../ Though Yuugi could guess the spirit didn't hear him.
As Yuugi managed to pay attention, the rest of the day seemed to slip by fast. At the end of the day, he got his bag, looked slightly disappointed as it seemed Jou had to rush off somewhere, but still waved his friend away easily, before starting to head from the school grounds, it was also where he saw Ryou. If they were way ahead of him, he wouldn’t chase after them, but..they were really close, so he decided it would be mean to ignore them. Not to mention, he wanted to know if Ryou really meant it, or if it was Bakura all along.
“Ryou-kun!” Yuugi walked a few steps faster to meet the boy. “Hi, again.” He said with a small smile. “Um, I was just wondering if you really were going to sit with us again tomorrow at lunch, cause..I..” This..was really awkward. “Cause I’m not sure if it was you…or…Sorry..!!” Yugi clamped his hands together with an apologetic look. “Cause I can’t really tell if it was you or your yami pretending to be you during lunch earlier..” * * * * * * * * * * * *{ Y A M I B A K U R A } And sleep was what Bakura managed to obtain. Unlike Yami who was fussing over a headache, the thief managed peaceful and…smug rest. Annoying the pharaoh once a day keep boredom away. Damn, people should totally live by that..! If only they knew and understood how fun that was, and to watch the irritated look on their face grow, but there was absolutely nothing they could do about it. Yes, it seems watching the former pharaoh suffer was one of Bakura’s favourite past-time. And if he could, he would record it, and re-watch it to fall asleep. But then, he’d be too busy watching and laughing to sleep.
If Ryou really had brought the courage up to ask, Bakura would probably actually considered telling him before laughing, and calling them stupid for asking. Bakura had no way to be sure that the other spirit was staring, as it was true that he couldn’t see them, only Ryou could see Bakura in spirit form, Yuugi for Yami all the same. But, as Bakura had been stuck in the ring, apart from learning the item had a personality of it’s own, he was a part of it, and whatever it could detect, there was a smaller alarm in him that would go off. If the ring could detect strongly that the puzzle’s power was narrowed at it, so could Bakura. And he had taken a guess, a pretty good guess otherwise he wouldn’t have risked getting it wrong.
When the final bell rung, signaling the end of the school day, it woke Bakura from their rest. It seemed as if no time had passed at all. He stretched in the chair that was larger than he, the one he was sitting in at the moment; his own soul room was much different than Yami’s maze-like structure. The thief’s whole room was bare, except for the large blood red chair in the middle, the doors lined at the walls all around them, no matter where you looked, there would be door littered around. On the ground, on the ceiling, on the sides. Apart from that, there was a strange purple mist, fog that covered the area, making it harder to see the further you walked in, and unable to see where it ended at.
Bakura knew he didn’t have anything to do until later tonight. But he pushed himself out in spirit form as Bakura followed as Ryou left the school building heading out from campus. Or well, they were nearly out as an all too familiar voice rang out. /Oh for ******** sake, can that midget not give it a break? Go home, play some games with himself and shut up?/ Bakura wasn't expecting Ryou to understand what he said, but he was just mumbling to himself right now.~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~

Though this might just be the ending of the life I held so dear but I won't run, there's no turning back from here." xxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxx •xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx The spirit of the Puzzle let out a sign, allowing himself to come out of his soul room and open the connection he had with Yuugi again. The fresh air was more than appreciated, though he couldn’t fully enjoy it without taking over. He wouldn’t do that though, there was no reason to take control of Yuugi’s body, and he didn’t feel like being sociable with his Aibou’s friends either. No, he enjoyed the friends his hikari had, he knew from his younger look-a-like that he needed friends. Yuugi had picked good ones too, they were all supportive and there when his light needed someone. He could feel his light’s disappointment that Jounouchi, the blond haired teen that seemed to be the most dedicated friend Yuugi had, had to leave in such a hurry. It would be alright, Yuugi would get home and spend time with his Grandpa, and probably ask the spirit to play a game or watch a movie with him. The ex-Pharaoh had to give the short teen credit, he had good taste in entertainment. He did enjoy the time he had spent with Yuugi, he was so innocent yet he was starting to stand up for himself more, gain some independence. But why he had to go and talk to Ryou again was beside him. The spirit let out a groan, //Yuugi, wasn’t it enough to sit with him during lunch?// He didn’t want to be angry at Yuugi, and he wasn’t, though his tone of voice may have given that impression off. Crossing his arms, he stood protectively behind his Aibou, maroon eyes watching every movie the albino made. It was Ryou, he knew. The albino in front of his hikari was an innocent aura, nothing like that of the damn Robber. It was how he could answer Yuugi’s question. //It was him. Now let’s go!// He could another flash pressing into his mind, something he couldn’t allow while the stupid Thief was close. He allowed the two hikari’s to talk, making sure Yuugi knew Ryou had agreed to sit with them, before he took control. He felt bad to interrupt his light’s conversation, yet he wouldn’t allow the Thief to have any upper hands. He nodded at Ryou ”I’m afraid we need to be going now. Thank you, Ryou” He stressed the name, glared at the Ring for a moment, before he turned and headed towards the Game Shop. •xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx It was good to be outside, and the thought of being home was more pleasant than usual. And that’s exactly where he was headed when someone started calling him. Turning, brown eyes spotted Yuugi coming towards him. ”Yuugi…”He ignored the spirit, putting his attention on the other teen with a smile. ”No it’s alright no need to apologize.” He himself had a hard time telling Yuugi and his darkness apart as well. ”I did agree to sit with you tomorrow.” The albino nodded, smile still in place. ”If I am still welcome of course.” The shift in speech didn’t go unnoticed by Ryou. And while he couldn’t be sure, he thought Yuugi’s other self had taken over. So perhaps it was easier to tell them apart than he and his darker self. But that didn’t mean he was positive it wasn’t Yuugi. The short tri-colored haired teen was welcoming and open, where as his dark was more closed off. It was similar to the differences between him and the spirit of the Ring. He couldn’t think of anything similar between them other than their looks. Yet being his opposite, Ryou depended on him. The spirit completed him in a way, something that the young albino wasn’t sure was a good thing or not. Coming out of his musing, Ryou nodded ”Tomorrow then. Goodbye.” •xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx xxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxx "Those who are dead are not dead, they're just living in my head. And since I fell for that spell, I am living there as well. Time is short and I'm sure there must be something more. You thought you might be a ghost. { Y U U G I M U T O U } Yuugi’s face lit up considerably at Ryou’s kind words. Seriously, his yami was sure irritated today. So the spirit of the ring was a mischief maker, but there were ways of dealing with people like that, without getting pissed off, seeing that was exactly what they wanted, right? Having been one to look from the sidelines while his yami and Ryou’s yami were at it, made Yuugi realize a lot of things, but he also knew that putting them into action was a whole different thing that just thinking it.
“Of course you’re welcome to sit with me! I would love it.” Yuugi beamed with joy, until the ancient pharaoh seemed to decide it was enough interaction between him and Ryou. It seemed to make the slightly shorter boy a bit upset. He wanted to be friends with Ryou, but it seems because of whatever that was between the two yamis, it would never really happen. Maybe he should tell the pharaoh about that time, then maybe he’d give both of them a chance! But..just not right now, when they were so aggravated.
Which is why, Yuugi was silent, even through the mindlink as Yami proceeded to walk away. He had a feeling they were trying to not be mad at him too, for approaching Ryou again.* * * * * * * * * * * *{ Y A M I B A K U R A } “How rude. You’re going to hurt your little aibou’s feelings that way.” Bakura said in a slight mocking tone, mostly on the word that Yami uses to address their light. Return on the tomb raider, better and more annoying than ever. He had taken control of Ryou’s body again, only this time, he hadn’t need to shove the other out that forcefully.
Silently and swiftly, the thief had made it’s way to follow Yami. They had to head the same way for a short while before separating ways to head home anyways. And leaving the body to Ryou, the boy would probably read and walk home, then get run over by a car. He could see it happening, and Bakura can’t really help stupidity like that. Just in case the pharaoh was going to ignore him, try to just grit their teeth and let it pass, Bakura tapped onto their shoulder, hand raising, so the moment they turned back, it was one of the oldest tricks in the book. Cheek poke. Bakura was just having a bit of fun. Hating someone is really stressful, mind you. Bakura still loathes Yami, but messing with them was a good and fun way to relieve stress.
He then sighed nonchalantly, shrugging his shoulders in a way that would say ‘Oh well’. “And they say it’s scary when women PMS. A pharaoh with memory problems, what would that be? PMP(Pharaoh Memory Problem)?”Though whether Bakura found Yami scary was pretty obvious. Proceeding to let a smirk draw onto his pale features, dark brown eyes shone slightly, amusedly. “Pity you haven’t gotten used to the headaches. Or the lack of memories..and that somebody else knows all about...but you don't...sad.” He shook his head in fake pity, the smirk ever there, as if daring them to go and Mind Crush him on the streets. With that, Bakura put a hand in his pocket and continued on the same way, just a few steps ahead of the pharaoh.
Funny, he was in a good mood after the nap, and his mood was the exact opposite as the pharaoh's. And this time, he wasn't in the middle of a plan, since if he was, it would be easy to understand the opposites of feelings. ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~

That damn Thief always had to make things difficult. That was alright, he could ignore it. Yuugi may not understand his actions when it came to the damned Robber, but his light wasn’t insulted by his actions. The other spirit could try and pester him all he wanted, Yami would ignore him no matter what he did. Damnit! Stupid instinct to turn around and face someone when they tapped you. And what was with the poking? The ex-Pharaoh let out a growl, turning and making his way towards Yuugi’s home again. The Thief could spout as much nonsense as he wanted, he didn’t care and he wouldn’t care. Though the fact the other spirit was now walking with him only pushed his buttons more. It wasn’t until the other was a few steps ahead of him that he finally let it get to him. ”What do you want, Thief?” He snarled, his hand clenching around the strap of Yuugi’s backpack. At least it was only a few blocks, then they could go their separate ways and the spirit of the Puzzle could finally get some peace for the first time that day. ”And don’t talk to me about hurting my Aibou’s feelings, Thief. At least I don’t abuse mine.” He didn’t know if the Robber actually laid a hand on the other albino, but he remembered the tactic the spirit of the Ring had used during their duel on the blimp. Counting the blocks wasn’t helping. Time always seemed to go by slower when he was on guard. Stupid Tomb Raider. The old spirit did his best to ignore things while still keeping his eye on the other. He wasn’t going to let whatever the other was planning happen. Whatever scheme the Ring barrier had in mind could be allowed, only bad came from whatever the Thief did. •xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx Ryou flet the spirit pull him back into his soul room. So the other Yuugi had come out. It shouldn't have surprised him really. The tension between the two ancient spirits was well known to both him, and probably Yuugi. He did wish he could do something about it though. Yuugi was a nice person, someone he wished to be friends with. The hatred between their other haves would prevent that. Why couldn't the two get along anyway? It was a good question. He realized it had something to do with the past. But the ex-Pharaoh couldn't remember the past, and while his darkness did, that didn't explain the anger between the two from the get-go. The hikari's head was hurting from trying to sort out the two spirit's relationship. How could they keep hating each other when one of them obviously didn't know why they didn't get alone, and the other could easily ignore the past. Anyway, the Thief probably did something to the Pharaoh, so why not pretend it didn't happen? He was never going to understand it was he? •xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx xxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxx "Those who are dead are not dead, they're just living in my head. { Y A M I B A K U R A } The growl heard from the ancient pharaoh was ultimately satisfying. Perhaps that was an exaggeration, but, who cares? It was satisfying, that’s all that counts. Living for the moment, he could only do that, a spirit after all, trapped so long in an object. Who knows, one day, a freak accident might happen and Ryou might die, and he’d be trapped in there for Ra knows how long again. Until another worth host arrives for the Ring. Not a very fun wait.
“What do I want? Is a chat with a long time friend of mine prohibited? Last time I check, you don’t make the rules around here anymore, pharaoh.” Friend? Does he mean…Yami? Or does he mean Yuugi? Or was he just plain out messing with him? Bakura was leaving that for Yami to muse about, after all, the other didn’t have their memories..and not to mention, it was a possibility. Bakura hadn’t told him anything, and wouldn’t. Maybe a little bit if Yami got on his knees and begged.
Maybe.
But just the thought of that happening..!!
Bakura wasn’t walking fast, not at all. This was amusing, and he was bored. Tormenting the pharaoh was a good pass time, and to see how many sentences it took from him to get him mad. “What, pharaoh. That the best you got? Avoiding the rest of my accusations cause you got nothing?” He smirked. Yep, he was counting that as a win. He was now walking backwards, facing Yami. Surprisingly, his skills as a thief hadn’t waned, and he seemed to either have memorized the roads or something, though he side-stepped a street lamp just a step before he would hit. Even though his back was facing it, he managed perfectly, grace of a cat..or a sly fox?
“Abuse? That cut?” Most of the time, it had been him supporting that cut. Ryou just had to deal with it for that short little moment with Malik and grandpa. “You have no proof to accuse me of abusing Ryou. Even if I do, what can you do about it? The abuse would get worse if you try to help him." Lies..and more lies. "You’re still worse, mental torture is so much worse than physical.” He shook his head, faking a pitying sigh. “Poor lil midget. Goes through so much emotional torture each day because of a horrible, stupid pharaoh that doesn’t even allow him to make friends.” ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~

In fact the ex-Pharaoh found it rather pointless and annoying. Whatever the Thief wanted he'd better get to it fast because the spirit's nerves were running thin. "Friends?" The Pharaoh smirked, shaking his head "I think you're mistaken, Thief. You have no friends." Crimson eyes narrowed at the albino. The Robber was gaining nothing from... whatever this was, and he was growing more and more annoyed with it. It annoyed him to know end that the Raider knew his past while the Pharaoh's history still remained in the dark. There was no point in asking the other spirit. He knew how the conversation would go over. He'd ask, give the spirit a few laughs and gain nothing from it. He would have to regain his memories on his own; no one could give him help. The comments about his aibou pushed him closer to the edge. "I allow Yuugi to make friends. Ones that don't have psychopathic spirits that would try to kill him in his sleep." The pharaoh suppressed a sigh of relief when they finally got the splitting point of their little journey. "Well it certainly hasn't been fun. We shouldn't do this again." Crimson eyes rolled, before he turned his separate way, glad to finally be ride of the damn Thief. Home would be more welcome than he had originally thought. Not only had the day been horribly long, boring, pointless, and aggravating, but he had to actually talk to that stupid no good Robber. Once he got Yuugi safely home, he was going back to his soul room and resting. He wasn't putting up with any more s**t for the day. If Yuugi needed him, that was one thing, but he wasn't going to be sociable to anyone else. He didn't need to. The Game Shop came into view before too long, and with a sigh allowed Yuugi to take back control. The rest of the night was uneventful. Yuugi eat dinner with his Grandfather, Yami paid it little mind. The peace and quiet was needed after the day he had. Yuugi was probably mad at him, having interrupted his time with Ryou. But he didn't trust the spirit of the Ring. Not one bit. The other had nothing but bad news spewing from him. No good ever game from interacting with that albino. Before the spirit of the Puzzle knew what was happening Yuugi had changed into his pajamas and crawling into bed. //Goodnight, Aibou.// He didn't expect Yuugi to answer, the boy was probably already asleep, but it made him feel a bit better none the less. Settling down against one of the walls, the old Pharaoh allowed his mind to wander, glad to have avoided at least one headache that day. •xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx•xxxxx

{ Y U U G I M U T O U } As they were home, Yuugi stretched and called out that he was home, taking off his shoes and going in, looking for his grandfather before returning to his room. Setting down his bag and sitting down onto the chair he heaved a sigh. That was a long day, somewhat eventful, somewhat fun and somewhat annoying. But hey, that was life. You learn to deal with it sooner or later.
The small boy wasn’t angry with his yami though, there wasn’t really that possibility. Even if it was true, Yuugi wouldn’t say mad too long for real. He could understand perfectly that they were only trying to make sure he wouldn’t get hurt. But it seems as long as Yami wasn’t out, Bakura wouldn’t come out..so does that make Bakura protective over Ryou too? That..was a nice thought.
Reverting to a normal high school kid, not king of card games, not teen carrying an ancient pharaoh’s spirit, Yuugi managed through the rest of the day. Climbing into bed and yawning widely, cutely, Yuugi laid down on his back, pulling the blankets over him, smiling at the only sound he got from the spirit all night, the small boy replied with a soft /Goodnight, yami./ He turned their head to the side, nuzzling into the pillow. * * * * * * * * * * * *{ Y A M I   B A K U R A }
”Sure. I’ll see you tomorrow.” Bakura smirked, that being his reply as Yami turned and walked away, towards their home without another word. Then again, the other said more than him this one time. Just this once.
It seems no matter what Yami had said, or usually say would get too much on his nerves unless it was about his plans, or something else like an insult, then Bakura would definitely have a good comeback. Though, he seemed perfectly with it this time. On the way back, he had let Ryou take control again, and had fell silent for the rest of the night.
There wasn’t a need for him anyways, Ryou would read, do howework, whatever. Their daily routines had gotten already more than boring to the thief so he didn’t really pay attention. He only realized when it was dead in the night, and Ryou was asleep. Getting up with his host’s body, he sat on the side of the bed quietly, then went to Ryou’s drawer, pulling out his deck of cards. Ryou had kept it..funny that they didn’t just dissemble his deck. But shuffling it quietly, he laid out a few cards, setting the rest by the side. Slowly, he flipped each over, as if it had a special order. And to Bakura they did.
A frown crossed his face to what ever the cards told him, though all they did was silently lay there. Putting them back into the deck and shuffling, he set it back inside the drawer, closing it. He looked to the door, then shook his head, along with the frown off and got back into bed, letting Ryou be the one that was sleeping on the comfy bed again, as he too, tried to rest for the night. ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~

{ T H I E F//K I N G } // // // ~From who I was..~ * * * * * * * * * Sadly, he got much littler rest than he had wanted. Wasn’t it a good thing Bakura took a nap earlier?
Yes, yes it was.
Bakura found himself waking to the feeling of a stone cold hard floor. Dirty too, he noted as his hands grasped against it, against nothing, except a bit of dirt. With a groan, tanned, strong arms pushed the body up, and he stared down to what he had been sleeping. The Millennium..stone..Tablet? Where it had spots for all the millennium items. Bakura ran his hand over it, before he realized his hands were not pale. He brought them up, turning them over. But this could not be..! Lifting his head, crimson brownish eyes dashed around the place. <********, no.” He muttered, pushing himself onto his feet, short white hair touching his neck, and a majorly red, but with white cloak flowed after him as he rushed out of the place, up the stairs and took a breath of fresh..morning..Egypt..air.
The King of Thieves’ body made a slow but deep intake of air. And the mind, the former King of Thieves was in shock. Ra had barely risen, was in the process of that, really. Was this a dream? It felt..very real. Slowly breathing out at the sight of the ruined village around him, a name was uttered.
“Kul Elna..”
He stood, tanned and well built, for a whole five seconds, before he looked down to himself, tugged at the red cloak he had on, before finally, a hand went over his face, his right eye to be exact. It traced the scar that ran down his face slowly, and after he did it once, he did it again. <********> He said in astonishment, before turning and heading towards the very back of the village, and looked down at his water supply. And in the reflection that the water gave, was himself. Thief King Bakura. Standing there, staring at himself. Sure, it would be a weird sight for someone to see, but the fact was, there was nobody else other than him here.
Bakura figured this had to be a dream, or the work of shadow magic. s**t, did the pharaoh do something to Ryou? Or him? But right now, Bakura pressed a hand to his chest, feeling the millennium ring. So he had it already. Good. A tanned hand slowly clenched into a shaking fist. He could feel it, the power that had been gone from him, taken from him so long ago, it ran through him, through his blood. Shaking his head very slightly to rid of the power-hungry feelings, he gripped onto the millennium ring. Of course, the modernized thief has all his memories, of the past, and now of the future, at least, up to the point he had been, so he was checking shadow realm right now, to see if it had anything to do with this. The power source was faint..but it did seem like the shadows had caused something huge not long ago. Could it be this? Was he back? Did time reverse?
With only questions in his mind, he decided that it wasn’t any good to just stand around. Walking to the entrance of the village, he brought his fingers to his lips. Oh, how long he hadn’t done this and seen his horse..the one that never abandoned him. He blew out a whistle, and waited quietly, the sound of hooves could be heard until it stopped in front of him. Letting a smirk draw onto his face, the King of Thieves walked over, a hand gently petting it, before getting on.
To the city. The palace. The markets. Everything. He wanted to know what was going on. What time of his life he was thrown in, and really, what did he have to do today? What if this screwed up history? If this was back in time, that is.
There was still this slight bubble of excitement inside the thief though. To have his old, capable body back, to be living his old life, without being dependant on a host, without being a captive of the cursed item that still hangs around his neck. But, he had to say he missed Egypt, here. Missed the life of being on the run, being most wanted and most infamous of them all, being a King.
Shaking his head again, Bakura only then remembered how power-hungry he used to be, and the feelings was still hitting him now. If he didn’t have his experiences and memories of the modern world, he probably wouldn’t have been able to shake it off. Setting onto his feet after a short ride, Bakura patted his horse on the side twice, and it ran off, and he, with a cloak that had a hood, brown and tattered, something that his horse carried for him walked into the market. Of course, with the said cloak on, and the hood. He did not want to be recognized, not when he had things to do. To check. But the first thing he found out was, the people setting up heir stalls for the day, they could see him. * * * * * * * * * ~You can't stop me.~ ~I'm..~ { B A K U R A }
