great i'm all of the sudden suicidial again....
*sits beside you and wraps my arm around your shoulder* Don't let those negative thoughts get the better of you honey...you have to make a firm decision and fight against the sadness...you have to say "No...I will NOT let my sadness get the best of me, I WILL NOT start thinking about hurting myself because it won't help me get rid of the sadness". It's SO easy to just feed into our sadness and let it overpower us, but you have to be stubborn, dig your feet firmly in the ground and say "I'm NOT going to let this bring me down!!"
It's a good mantra...I say it silently to myself when I'm feeling depressed.
Now as for your topic...
I had two guys who wanted to date me in highschool. I had liked these guys at different times *we were all friends*, but one in particular I had liked for a longer time, since the other guy was fairly new to the school. When I had liked them *at different times*, they had liked another girl that we're all friends with, so I figured they didn't like me because I was the COMPLETE OPPOSITE of her. But then they both started acting very strangly around me and on March 31st *I forget what year, it's been a LONG time, heh* the guy who I knew longer called me up and asked me out...I had no idea that the other guy, our mutual friend, was trying to get through to me *we had just cut call waiting off of our phone program that day...bad timing, heh*.
Well the next day was April Fool's Day so we had a heck of a time trying to convince people that we were dating but thankfully we had called up our friends the night before after he asked me out so that they would know we were dating. The other dude was very pissed off but I had no idea why...but after having to deal with him ignoring me and storming off, I followed him and demanded to speak to him and that's when I found out that he was trying to call me to ask me out as well. I told him that I had liked both of them at different times but due to them liking that other girl, I figured they didn't like me.
We became closer friends than we were before and I used to love talking to him because he was very wise and intelligent, but soon he wanted to be more than friends and when he thought that my new boyfriend and I were going to break up, he tried his best to get me to date him and he was hurt when he found out that I had no intention of breaking up with my boyfriend just to date him. Well that's when s**t hit the fan...he started going around school saying that I was a 'black widow spider', that I had wanted to cheat on my bf with HIM, and that I was just using my bf...and my bf bought his story. Soon they were the best of friends and I was alone...and that snake in the grass who had spread all of those lies wrote me a letter apologizing for his behaviour and wanted to be friends...hah, as if.
So I know what it's like to be in a love triangle...my advice? Pick who you like more and let the other one know that you've made your choice and you will not be swayed otherwise and make sure the guy you picked trusts you over any kind of bs that the other dude may dish out because he was dismissed.
