Women can love God and be perfectly content romantically. They have a man. Men can love God and then feel like something is missing: a woman. Of course, not all men. Like Paul. And I suppose not all women either. But from what I've observed, which isn't all that much of the population obviously, that it may be easier for women to accept a celibate lifestyle than men. Men were designed to want a woman. Of course, there are exceptions, but naturally, a man desires a woman. Women also desire men, but that desire can be met in Jesus Christ alone.

For me, it is difficult to referred to as being part of the "bride of Christ". I'm not a woman. Getting married to Jesus also seems a little off...especially since I do have a desire to be married to a woman some day. The verses where Jesus apparently declares marriage void at the age to come are particularly hard for me. I want to get married someday. Not just to Jesus. To a woman.

I understand where you're coming from bro, because for me, I think of Jesus as my big brother and Father God as my Father, so I too feel the loss of having a spouse in my life.

I'll be leaving here soon for school, so I'll keep this brief.

Why do you think God created marriage when it will only disappear in the future?

This is a WONDERFUL subject on SO MANY levels. I am at work, and I an tiring of looking at this computer screen. So I will continue in this conversation tomorrow. Lots of good stuff in here. Marriage, Relationships, man. I have a lot to say about that.

God is a master teach by example guy. Which really works for me. Always showing me how to understand spiritual things by using everyday situations that we understand. Husbands love your wives as Christ loved the Church and gave his life for it. (I dunno where that is right now. I will look it up later.)

"What God put together, let no man put asunder" (or take apart) that's God talking about marriage.

"Nothing can separate us from the love of Jesus Christ (and goes on to list famine, danger, sword, authorities, etc.)

It's to show us how much God loves us. Being INTIMATE (has unfortunately been profaned, however was ordained by God for a reason. Well, for many.) Intimacy does NOT mean sex. They have never been synonymous. it DOES mean to know the very inter parts, every working, of someone. Now sex, (also profaned) is the highly spiritual and physical (notice the order I put that in) representation of intimacy. The intelligent design of the master created us to physically fit better than puzzle pieces in secret areas as an outward sign of an inward work (like baptism!)

Ha. That's the first time I have ever used that analogy. Baptism is like sex! Hahahaha. Okay. Not really that funny. But now that I mention it. It really is. Think about intimacy in a spiritual, emotional, personality, relational way (not sex, just the knowing a person deeply) and then think about what sex is. If you ever wondered about why the bible used the term "knew" for had sex with, that's it!

"And the two shall become one" --God talking about marriage (I'll find it later)
"That they maybe one as we are one" Jesus talking about God and Himself in John 17.

Marriage is a protection for us. A covenant. A way for us to focus intense love onto one being in a fraction of the intensity that God loves us.

I WAY TOTALLY understand your points here, Hayabashi. You make some stirring and true ones. I really want to go off on another rant here, but I wrote way more than I intended to write in the first place. Yow.

I really do have tons more to say. I feel you on the gender difference, and ease. I find in interesting that I am still typing, when I had no intention to. Ah, well, all of you are used to that. Ding.

I am also going to talk about the heaven part. ...not gonna lie though, I just have speculation there. Okay, but really. Tomorrow. It's 11:47pm I'm out!
