In the Internet world, bumping has been used for various reasons. Users can enlighten others' day by relentlessly annoying other posters, meanwhile drowning out the main conversation. The "bump-up-my-post" technique is a famous one that may kill other threads. Bumping may also be useful in gaining gold through constantly posting random emoticons and words. Just looking at the word BUMP could provoke readers.
But in our case, we're just [innocently] bumping for pure fun, gold and in hopes of killing boredom. And nobody likes boredom.
