Name: Ryan Feldric

Age: Appears 17, but his "true" age based on his date of birth is 80 years old (he was born in 1931).

Date of birth: June 11, 1931 (ironically, the month of June holds extra significance - Ryan's mother died on June 20th, 1931; D-Day was June 6th, 1944; Ryan was notified of his father's and uncle's deaths nine days later on June 15th)

Physical Description: Ryan is about six feet tall, with green eyes, and what would seemingly be an average build. He doesn't show much muscle in his arms; more of his muscle seems to be focused into his legs. His hair is just down to the bottom of his neck in back, but he keeps it out of his eyes and pushes the sides so that most, but not all of his ears are covered. He is also slightly tanned, due to his upbringing.

Zanpakuto:
Ryan's zanpakuto is really a standard katana, however, the hand guard is red with golden trim, and the handle has red interwoven with black. There is also a ruby cut in the shape of a maple leaf set into the end of the handle.

Shikai:
Maikokorozashi (My will)
Ryan's zanpakuto grows longer, forming more of a ribbon than a blade, however, it can in theory be infinitely long, and gains this shape by gathering spirit particles around the actual blade. It is extremely flexible, to the point where it can be used not only to cut like a sword, but to bind and hold like a rope or whip, but if it is bent too much, it will separate and the seperate part will disperse. There is no real other way to break it though, as it functions as a solid, strong ribbon and not like a bakudo.

Bankai: First stage -- Maikokorozashi shoutenranmyaku (my will -- focused chaos)
Ryan's clothing changes from whatever he is wearing into black armor with silver trim over a black bodysuit, giving him the appearance of a black knight, though he lacks a helmet. Instead of a sword and shield, though, Ryan has a cannon mounted over his left arm, which also can convert into a minigun that can fire at a rate of 200 rounds per minute; the rounds are more like shells, though, meaning that they will explode on impact. Ryan's cannon fires a charged shell of reishi that will explode with the force of "Little Boy", the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima in 1945, at full power on impact, though without any of the ambient radiation. Ryan can also form walls and simple weapons or objects out of ambient reishi, but nothing more than that.

Another effect that the bankai stage has is on Ryan's personality. He will partially unite with his zanpakuto spirit while in bankai and become almost a different person, completely focused and with almost no emotion whatsoever. His hair will lengthen slightly as well, and his voice will become a cold blend of his own and his spirit's lighter, almost ethereal voice as a result of this.

Second stage -- Ryan hasn't quite achieved this yet, however, he has been preparing for it, which has made him stronger even without his bankai.

Special Accessories: Ryan will usually carry his old Colt Single Action Army revolver and an ammunition belt with 45 bullets, giving him 50 (Ryan will always leave an empty chamber under the hammer to protect the firing pin) total rounds. He also will carry his Lee-Enfield Mk III rifle on missions and in tournaments, though most of the time he is content to leave that one in his office.

Skills: Ryan was a good marksman in life, able to use a bow and arrow as well as a rifle, shotgun and revolver with some expertise each. He has also discovered that he is quite adept at strategy and logic, skills he never really applied until he got to Soul Society.

As far as kido are concerned, Ryan knows the basics as well as Hado 31 and Bakudo 39, but that's really it - he is, however, experimenting with the effects of weaving Bakudo 8 and 39 together into one shield, and would like to learn stronger shield kido to experiment further.

Personality: Ryan tries to be social, but is usually quiet about himself. He is polite and respectful, but the best way to get on his nerves is to ask him about himself, as he doesn't like recounting his own story due to a dislike for being pitied by the masses. His one exception to this is if he comes to consider someone as a mentor or a very good friend, but even then he will only talk alone and ask that what he says be kept secret.
