i was going down to the gas station and this gut had a real deer with no head and it was skinned hanging from his grawge.i just think hunters are very evil people.... who has the heart to:1.shoot an animal
2.skin an animal
3.eat it or display heads when they are done
i hate all thise people! crying

Who are you to tell me meat isn't food? Thats just crazy. When some one says to me, "meat isn't food" thats just weird. Its just crazy. And thats why, for every animal you don't eat, I am going to eat three because they taste damn good.

Meat is food. We are animals and most animals eat other animals as part of their diets along with fruits and veggies. It is sad to see something like you did, but that doesnt mean it is wrong.
What is wrong is when soemone is hunting just for fun, especially using a gun, becasue the animals have no chance. People who choose to hunt for food and use most of the animal they kill are just surviving, though it may be in a way that is strange or unaccustomed to you. But you must realize, just as you should respect other cultures, you should respect those who do eat meat.

As I mentioned in another thread, if it weren't for hunters, ecology today would be so much worse. Yeah, it horrifying to see a skinned carcass laying out in the open sun, but for every animal they kill, it's more money pouring into the Department of Natural Resources or a wildlife fund. But I won't go into that again. Read my post in the hunters thread to get more.
Plus, some of us have to eat meat. Some of us can't help it. =)

My brother is a hunter, and although I don't enjoy the sight of seeing what he brings home (My dad makes him take it out into the garage, luckily) I do eat the meat. Now, please don't judge me on that, but I still love animals, its just, I'm a carnavore at heart. xp

Hunters are not horrible people. My next door neighbor is a hunter. He is actualy the most eco friendly guy I know. He has a HUGE portion of his property that he dosn't build on and actualy sits out (even on realy cold days) and feeds the squirls in the neighborhood. He dotes on his dogs and when hooker amd mona died (the earlyest ones I can remember) he became depressed and didn't do much of anything. Hooker was ripped up by a baer and he went in (knowing the danger from the baer) just to get him and give him a proper barial. Just because someone hunts does not make them bad people. They are human.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and I know mine. Personally I think that it is wrong to go out and kill an animal just for fun or just for the hell of it... but if you are going to eat the animal, use its skin, and not really waste anything I think it's okay. We do have to keep some of the animal population down... hell we need less human population too!!! If we let the deer get out of control in thier population, next thing you know they'll be over running us!!! Okay maybe I'm dramatizing it a little bit but you get the point.

Well, to the person who said they especially hate it when people hunt with a gun because they have no chance, think about it for a minute. Would you rather they, A. Get shot and go down relatively quickly or B. Get shot with an arrow and run around for hours and hours with an arrow sticking out of them, getting caught on branches and yanking at them and causing more agony?
So far as the "not having a chance" thing goes, they have a helluva lot more of a chance than a cow. A cow trusts the farmer. The farmer fed him every day, gave him medicine, kept him healthy, kept predators away. That cow thought the farmer loved him. He could do nothing while being slaughtered to make our hamburgers. Now, think about the deer. The deer is wild and free. Yes it has to deal with predators and disease, but it has a fighting chance against them. At least the deer knows what the hunter is there for! He knows to run if he hears something strange, or sees something that shouldn't be there. And after a while, deer stop coming to places where they know hunters will be.
So think about alternatives, okay biggrin ?
