It had been a long swim from her island home to the main land. She was thankful that her sire taught her to swim for her mother was a flyer and could simply fly over the water. As she reached the sandy beach she shook herself off and flicked her long furry tail the blue flame was still alight somehow. She smirked at that thought.
With a great stretch Shoshana trotted off into the woods in search of a adventure to occupy her mind for the afternoon. The birds where singing their little songs overhead as Sho stalked deeper into the woods. It didn't take long til she tripped over something on the ground and landed on her face.

Valdis had run as fast as she could from the beastly creature that had decided to come out of a hole in a tree and chase her with much enthusiasm. She panted heavily as she crawled under a bush and hid herself. But it was not meant to be for she froze as she felt another presence in the woods nearby and felt it trip over her still visible leg. With a cry of distress Valdis shot out of the bush and looked over at who it was. She saw herself looking at the rear end of another filly with a rather odd tail that was on...FIRE! Valdis ran around in panic and then began to try and blow out the other filly's tail til she was blue in the face.

Shoshana regained her awareness and realized that there was someone behind her and...blowing on her butt. What the heck... she stood up and looked over at what she saw as a winged filly about her own age. She tilted her head at the winged filly and then smiled. "No need to do that. It's not real fire....oh..my name is Shoshana, you can call me Sho for short. I'm out for an adventure....wanna join...oh...what's your name?" Shoshana was very delighted to have come across another filly to play with. It was better than playing with her baby brother..yet again.

Valdis stopped blowing on Sho's tail and gave her a rather shy smile having felt suddenly foolish for being so quick to assume the worst. Not to mention it was rather uncommon for her to involve herself with another kirin. "Umm" she said in a rather quiet voice which squeaked suddenly. "Ah..I'm Valdis......It would be nice....if I....could join you," she swallowed nervously. Her tail twitched and she held her little "useless" wings close to her sides.
