Okay,'ve been planning this for a while. Tis time to detailed-ly talk about my lizards:
Matrix Species: Leopard gecko Gender: Unsure, but mosts leopard geckos sold in stores are female, so I will refer to mine as females. Age: Not sure, but probably a little under six monthes Appearance: Orange-yellow, with two brown hourglass markings on her sides, which run the length of her body. I suspect she's a morph because of the small orange markings on her tail.
Matrix is the larger of the two, and arguably, the sweeter one. You can hold her, and she'll normally just sit on your hand. She might move around, but not very quickly. Matrix was a little slow to warm up to taking food from my hands, but now she won't hesitate
At first, Matrix would hog the food bowl, and make it hard for her tankmate, Pizza, to get anything to eat. A second food bowl, and a bit of hand-feeding solved that problem
Matrix is normally lazy during the day, lying in the hollow log. She comes out mostly at night, not surprisingly as leopard geckos are nocturnal.
Name origin: Contrary to popular opinion, Matrix was not named after the movies, or the fact that I was learning about matrices in math class at the time. She is named after the Matix of Transformers fame. This Matrix is, in the words of Anime-fangirl, "a glorified piece of bling-bling that signifies who's the Autobot leader." Matrix happens to have a marking on her back which is shaped like the Matrix, so that is her name.
Pizza Species: Leopard gecko Gender: Unsure, but mosts leopard geckos sold in stores are female, so I will refer to mine as females. Age: Probably younger than Matrix, considering she's a lot smaller. Appearance: Yellow, with purple-grey, black-spotted bands. I think she might be a morph too, but I'm not sure.
While she's technically my sister's lizard, you can't know Pizza and not have a soft spot for her. Even if she will randomly jump off your hand while being held. (So yeah, only hold her over the tank.)
Pizza started taking food from my hands before Matrix did, but unlike Matrix, she'll 'study' the food for a few minutes before taking it. I don't think she gets enough to eat, but I've been trying to feed her more.
Pizza's a bit more active than her tankmate. I've seen her moving around at all hours of the day, and she's the only one that will climb on top of the log. When she does sleep, it's normally in the little cave, while Matrix sleeps in the hollow log.
Name origin: My sister named her, so I'm not sure. Probably has something to do with the fact that leopard geckos have spots, hence, a pepperoni pizza. Even though Pizza had no spots when we got her. -fin

Hmm well I don't have any lizards right now. My friend has an albino/luestic house gecko that she caught outside. He is about 2 inches long. Maybe longer. I used to have a Savannah Monitor that was like 4ft long. I prefer my snakes. :3 I ahve one coming soon that is a 100% het pied, ball python.

They are fast and can get a fairly decent size. they are HIGHLY abundant around here. razz They are so common in fact, that we rarely even find them anything worth taking pictures of.
