This is the Math Class.
Students will attend this class to learn Math.

On the walls there are math posters, charts, and many different equations.

At the front of the room is a desk.

There are rows of desks, and upon each desk is a work book.
Rather than a teacher in this class, each student is required to complete a number of pages in the worksheet before allowed to leave.
There is a 'counselor' that guards the door.
This counselor is wearing a suit of protective armors, no student will gain passage out without proof of completion.

Sliding a few feet into the math class, Varney approached the closest desk to the door and began to examine the textbook with his tentacles. After a few seconds of fondling the books pages, he already knew he would dread this class. Placing the book back softly on the desk, he approached Ella, and extended a tentacle, implying a shake.

"Morning miss", Varney said to the elf, smiling sweetly, as much as a Illithid can.

Varney blushed. "Truly a pleasure to be sharing space with someone having a name as pretty as that, it suites you. I'm Varney by the way, and it's nice to see someone who inset slightly repulsed be me." Chuckling at his self demeaning remark.

Retracting his tentacle he sat down next to Ella, fixing his robe to conform to the desk, stroking his tentacles while sitting.

"Well, I must confess I was quite late today, what do you think of the school so far ?" he asked with slight eagerness.

Varney winced, looking slightly embarrassed after reflecting on his former remark. "Heh, I guess that's true, wouldent want to call things to soon I suppose" He then began to stroke his tentacles again, like a beard, thinking deeply.

"Now that recall, I believe I'm dorming with a Female as well, go figure co-ed rooming schemes at a boarding school. Have you met any of them ?"

"Intriguing..." Varney said as he examined the acorn in Ella's hand. "My next question would be if a full sized acorn tree would fit in a dorm room, but I guess that's not the point, I'm glad to see that one of them is nice."

Varney seemed to hesitate his next words however, with a large pause before his next statement.

"I too have a pet that I love dearly, though he is not as cute as a squirrel, he's kept me company in my travels and is quite loyal."

Varney then proceeded to open up his guitar case and began to remove the strings from the instrument.

Removing the strings from the neck of the guitar, he reached into the sound hole of the device and pulled out what seemed to be an abnormally large lavender worm. It seemed to be about as long as Varneys arm, and twice as thick with black beady eyes, much like a shark, on the tip of it's head. It mouth was completely circular, not unlike a lamprey, yet it did not seem to be craving for flesh. {{{ Best picture I could Find}}}

"This little bugger here is my animal cohort, Darwin" as he held the worm up with glee. "He's a baby purple worm, I found him outside of an abandoned cave, which in all likelihood was his mothers. "Much like some bird species, if a worm escapes it's mothers dwelling it is abandoned, so his only hope of survival was with me."

"I'm glad, he's quite friendly once he's been around you for a bit, but he's shy around new acquaintances" the worm seemed to scurry behind Varney, trying to stay out of Ellas line of sight.

"Common now Darwin, don't be a sourpuss." the worm still hiding on the other side of Varney. "Heh, I know what you want, think this will cheer you up?"

Varney reached into his other bag and pulled out a fairly large quartz crystal, which he placed into the mouth of the worm. Darwin then proceeded to crush the crystal into smaller fragments and consume them with delight. "Purple worms main diet tends to be crystalline solids, the rarer the better, sadly. I have little money, so he has to stick to quartz until every so often when I can find him a nice treat." The worm, looking quite content after the consumption of the crystal, slowly rapped itself around Varneys arm, much like a pet snake.

"See, now your all friendly, you goon you" the worm squeeking at it's masters comment.
