"You really really should get that paw looked at y'know!" a voice called out above him, for perhaps the hundredth time. Kibela growled and directed a glare upwards toward Raviv.
"There's no need to. I know very well that it's not infected and it will be just fine on its own!" he called back, a bit of a snarl under his tone. He'd sliced the bottom of said paw open on some kind of sharp rock an hour or so ago, and was now limping just a bit because of the cut. But he knew that it should be fine without seeing a Healer... just as he'd told Raviv about ten times. Whenever he got tired enough of the bird's nagging to say something.
"But boss... what if it gets all dirty and then it gets infected?!" Raviv called on another swoop down. The raptor had already abandoned trying to ride on Kibela's shoulder while he tried to convince his partner to go to the Healers. Kibela had snaked his head around to snap at him one too many times. Not that the grey lion would ever actually bite, Raviv knew that. But you couldn't be too careful!
Kibela rolled eyes. "Then at that point I will find a Healer," he said shortly.
"But what if it's so bad you can't walk and we're miles and miles and miles away from the pride and then I would have to fly off all by myself and bring a Healer to you and I would be so tired and you would be lying in the dirt all helpless and in pain and..."
"ALL RIGHT!" Kibela roared, startling the bird into shutting up. "If you're just going to keep on and on like that I'll go see a Healer." Grumbling to himself, he turned his paws back toward the central area, looking about for a Healer.
Satisfied, Raviv soared higher up into the sky, watching over his partner.

"You know you could be out doing something fun right now you know?" the little bird perched on his companion's head and watched as she sorted thought he herbs that she'd gone to pick up. "I mean just once ... maybe?" He fluffed himself up slightly before attacking a loose feather"But this has to be done. Work before play." She ignored her friend for the moment as she shuffled around things. She would have to get her companion to put them in her pouch once she was done. "We can go play after alright?"
She was perfectly happy doing her job and not playing but if he was going to insist. At least, maybe, she could get a little work done first and if she stalled long enough she would get to laugh at his complaining.

It wasn't too long at all before Kibela spotted an orange-colored female who appeared to be sorting herbs along with her feathered companion. Padding up to her, Kibela watched for a moment and then cleared his throat a bit.
He was trying not to be rude, but he'd never exactly had to go to a Healer for much anymore. Just exactly how was one supposed to act?

She was so absorbed in her sorting and arguing with her companion that she didn't take notice of the male near her until he made it known he was there. Jumping slightly she looked at him with wide eyes for a moment before smiling. "You startled me ... can i do something for you?" Usually they only reason others came to her was if they needed help in some way so it was a good bet that the male did in fact need something.
Fluffing slightly as Ashiki jumped he waggled a tiny wing at the male. "Shouldn't startle a lady like that"

Kibela glanced down at the Healer's companion for a moment and snorted softly. "Sorry," he muttered, not really sounding very much like he meant it.
Then he held that paw up and said, "I cut my paw on something, and someone," this word was rather loud and the large male glared up at the sky, "wouldn't leave me alone until I saw a Healer about it."
Thrusting that paw toward the orange female, he flexed the claws of his other front paw impatiently. "So here... see. Not infected or anything like that. Right?"

She blinked for a moment before tilting her head so she could see the cut better. "Well, no infection right now. But if you keep walking around on an open wound like that you'll probably get one eventually." She straightened back up so she could look at him. "I could put something on it for you that should help it heal and keep it from being infected."
She didn't know how some of the males could just walk around like that. Maybe she was too 'girly' in that respect. She hated it when something hurt and it seemed like walking around on a cut foot would hurt a lot.

Kibela blinked at that, having halfway expected her to react badly to his gruff attitude - as that was what usually tended to happen. Shamed now by her easy acceptance, he tried to pretend the past few moments had never happened. Sort of.
"I suppose," he murmured, still not saying much ... but at least now his tone wasn't confrontational or anything.

"Well if you'll just wait a moment then i can send Dizi off to get something." She smiled before looking at her avian companion. "It shouldn't take you too long right?"
"Oh. No ma'm." He chirpped before hopping along for a moment before taking to the air. He could head to her usual sleeping place and pick up the small leave pouch of salve that was around somewhere.
"It shouldn't take him long to get back. Then i can fix you up"

Kibela glanced at the bird, then back to the healer. "Thank you," he muttered softly. It wasn't often that anyone went out of their way to help him out. Well ... aside from Raviv. But somehow, he didn't count.
After all, Raviv was supposed to worry about him and all of that. No one else really had to.

"No need to thank me." She smiled as she settled down to wait for Dizi to get back. "ITs' what i am here for after all. Someone has to take care of the injured."

"I supposed so..." Kibela murmured, looking around a bit. He knew that he should probably come to the healers more often instead of toughing things out alone.
He just... didn't do so well with others a lot of the time.
