As Morph walked though the trees, he hummed happily to himself. He was on his way to meet Ara, and they were going to talk a walk through the woods. Apart from the nature, Morph was looking forward to being with Ara, and at the same time being away from everyone. Morph was looking for some peace and quiet and some time alone together. So on that note, he kept walking towards were he and Ara had planned to meet; a happy song in his heart.

Ara was sitting under the willow tree that she had been living under, her eyes closed and her tail swishing gently as she thought about how excited she was to see Morph again. She hummed softly to her self, the song that she had first danced to for Morph, as she waited for him to show up. She had a weird feeling that today was going to be important some how but she wasn't sure if it was good or bad. She took in a deep breath, smelling the flowers that were very near her den, happy to have such a pleasant smell neat by to make her happy when she didn't have her Morph with her.

Morph arrived at the willow tree to find Ara sitting with her eyes closed, smiling to her self. He grinned to no one in particular.
The most beautiful sight in the world... He walked quietly over to her to plant a kiss on her cheek and sat down next to her, snuggling her happily.
"Hey you. Ready to go?"

Ara smiled as she opened her green eyes slowly and nodded as she kissed him back. "Yes i am. I'm glad you were willing to go for a walk with me today. I wanted to check out this old part of the forest i found the other day, its got really big old trees and alot of old abandoned dens in it from various wild animals." She said with a smile as she nuzzled him and stood gracefully and walked towards the forest with him. "Did you miss me?" she asked wondering if he had missed her as much as she had missed him. She didn't like being away from him now. She felt so much happier with him.

Morph smiled. "Of course. I'd walk with you anywhere. And besides, where we are going kinda sounds like fun." Morph chuckled and stood up too. He took her hand as they started walking. "I missed you as the flower misses the sun. You are the light in my life and with out you everything seems just that much darker." He lifted her hand to his lips and kissed it lightly.

Ara smiled and nodded and tightened her hand on his when he kissed it. "I'm glad. I wouldn't want to take you from something more important." she said with a smile as she walked with him. "Its just up this way over the hill." she said as she walked. "You'll know it when the badger smell gets stronger, but its all old so don't worry." she said with a smile.

Morph smiled back. "This is important to me. You are important to me." he kissed her hand again.
When she mentioned the badger smell he inhaled and nodded. It wold be interesting to see what an old badger den looked like. Morph had never seen a badger before, but he had heard about them from Val.

She purred happily. "Good i'm glad, cause your important to me as well. I'm just glad that there haven't been any sightings of real badgers in here so far. I've poked about a few times near the trees for anything that looks dangerous but i haven't seen anything. Cause Badgers are scary...i've seen them on the TV too when master wasn't watching movies." she said with a smile as she walked with Morph towards the trees.

Morph walked along among the trees, eyes wandering from tree to tree. HE could definitely smell the badger here. But it was fairly old as Ara said, so Morph wasn't too worried. Even so, the odd musk was a little... unsettling. He tightened his grip on her hand slightly as the continued through the trees.

Ara looked about as they fully entered the old area of the forest. She looked at all the old trees and fallen logs surrounding them and noted the large old badger dens around the base's of them. Her nose was telling her that they were all old. She walked over to one, letting go of Morph's hand for a moment, and looked into the hole. It smelled really bad but she thought it was interesting looking. Huge, with hair all over and there were still claw marks on the walls from where they had dug it. She smiled and touched the side with her hand imagining the large creature that had done it.
A large old badger was heading back to its old dens. It was the time of year where he ventured back to the old dens and waited for the others to come they gathered here once a year for territory updates, family updates and information on the people that surrounded them, like how far in they had intruded this year. He was almost there and was in a very grouchy mood, he had tried to hunt several times on his way here but hadn't been fast enough for the rabbits he had been after. He was getting close to the dens now, hoping that there might be some rabbits hiding in the dens that he could snack on.

Morph peered in behind her, a little behind her shoulder. He ran a hand over the scratch marks, fingers following the jagged grooves in the bark.
Inhaling again he sneezed slightly. Yup... badger...
"So i take it you go exploring often?"

Ara smiled as she looked at it and nodded. "Yes i love being out here in the woods looking at things. I've started trying to see every plant in the forest and ever animal. I'm also trying to taste all the animals so i know what i like best. So far bluejays are very tasty." she said with a smile as she crawled into the tunnel and looked around the den.
The badger walked over a log and saw a cat near one of the holes. He smiled, his large teeth all showing as he drooled with hunger. He sniffed the air and knew a second one was some where. He would find it eventually. For now that male cat was all his. He charged down at the cat swiftly.

Morph turned at the sound and his eyes went wide. "Crud." His first impulse was to bolt, but he didn't want to leave Ara trapped in the den.
I gotta draw it away... Morph waited until it was dangerously close before darting up a tree trunk, expecting it to follow.

Ara heard something running across the ground towards them. She started coming up the tunnel and saw a badger dart past after Morph. She growled and tried to go faster but a hanging root snagged on her collar and she couldn't move. She hissed quietly and pulled against it tring to get free of the root but it wasn't budging and she didn't have the strength yet to break it free. She clawed at the ground hoping to pull free as she heard the badger hit a tree and begin clawing at it.
The badger saw the cat go up the tree and took off after it. He growled as he hit the tree and bashed against it trying to knock the tree over or the cat out, which ever happened first. He clawed at it trying to work away at the tree. "Come here food! I want to know if cat tastes better then rabbit!" He said as he banged against the tree again.

Well... that worked...sort of thought Morph, as he clung on for dear life.He hadn't gotten up the tree far enough to get to the branches and the badger's banging against the tree was making it impossible to climb any further. Digging his claws into the bark of the tree, he yelled back down at the badger. "Oh, yea, like that's going to work!"
