Mud , mud and more mud just seemed to be everywhere the young cub treaded today. Not that Tahki minded, the mud made fun noises when you hoped threw it. The splish, splish , splish sound always made her grin. The only thing that wasn't desirable was how much harder one had to work to get to where they wanted. It was tiring work hopping up and down through the knee deep mud. Tahki would just plow through it but that took even more work and was tiring.
The young cub sat upon a rock that peeked out over the sludgy mud just panting. She was worn out after hopping through the mud all day. The mud hung in lumps all around the lower portions of her body, some of it starting to harden and cake on. Tahki didn't mind though. After all she was way to worn out to clean her self.
Tahki was a cub of adventure and she wouldn't let a little mud get in her way of exploring the sludgy mud. As long as it didn't get in her mouth, the cub was fine.

Suzu had taken a log running over it trying to avoid much disaster with the mud as she moved, she liked the mud but parts of it she was currently moving over she knew was way too deep for her to even think about being able to move through much less live through.
She wrinkled her nose for a second, she had to sneeze and she was hoping she wouldn't because that might be bad until she gets to the end of the log. She however dug her claws into the log and laid down because she couldn't really not sneeze. Afterwords as she started moving again she saw in the distance something that looked blue and white.
"Oi" She called out wading through a mud puddle to another fallen tree, "What cha doing way out here?" She asked as she settled nearer the other cub so she could better see even though she was sitting on a log. After a second she stood and shook out her white fur to remove the mud.

Tahki's pink eyes shifted to see a strange white colorful cub coming closer and settling near her. The cub blinked, surprised to see another female cub out here so far in the swamp.
"I'm exploring," Tahki informed the other with a proud smile, "I want to see if there are any monsters or demons out here. Maybe even some treasure or a fun secret fort maybe..." Her eyes smiled at the other. She had not really expected to find anything she listed to the other out in the swamp but it was always fun to pretend. Finding another female cub way out in the swamp was even more unexpected.
"What about you? Are you on an adventure too?" Her pink eyes trained on the other. "My names Tahki by the way," Tahki gave a nod to the other.
Perhaps the two could explore the depths of the murky swamp together or maybe this strange white colorful cub was lost. What ever the circumstances of the other being out here, Tahki was glad to see another her age that wasn't related to her. From the looks of how the other traveled , Tahki figured she was on an adventure too.

Suzu chuckled listening to Tahki, "Hum... exploring huh?"
Her tail flickered as she sat there watching the cub, "Well I haven't seen anything you're looking for but I think I found one of the things I was looking for today." A soft grin came across Suzu's face.
She chuckled, "You could call it an adventure, more like a quest though I'd think. Momma said we that lived here had to do quests when we were older. So I figured I'd start practicing now."
She paused, "Yuki Suzu, but you can call me Suzu." She grinned giving a nod back, "Nice ta meet you Tahki."
Suzu of course had been looking for someone to play with and this very well seemed like the perfect cub to play with today.

Tahki paused wondering what the other ment about finding what she looked for. She didn't ask, but the look of puzzlement lay on her face for a brief moment.
"Yuki Suzu," Tahki chirped, "Thats a cute name. Its nice to meet you too Suzu," She was very glad to have run into a cub her age. For a while Tahki was wondering if there were any other her age and was glad to find that indeed there was.
"So, " Tahki tilted her head to the side, "Want to explore with me? It'll be fun! .... If you don't mind getting dirty that is..." Tahki motioned her already mud caked fur. She smiled at the other not sure if the other minded dirt or not.

Suzu hopped over to Tahki she waded through the mud and jumped up beside the other cub sitting down. "I like your name too" She said chuckling.
She grinned, "What dirt?" She asked laughing as she was muddy too. "It's nothing that'll shake off or come off later."
She looked around, "So which way."

Suzu chuckled and looked around, "There's some rocks and logs we can use to travel. Also normally around tree bases it seems to be slightly less deep." She stated matter of factually as she slid down to the rocks.
She inspected them, they seemed only big enough for little paws. She placed a paw on them to make sure they wouldn't move and after shaking them a bit she nodded and walked across the rocks when she reached the end she paused and looked around. Her tail flickered as she thought looking over to her friend she noticed a log near by. She hopped into the mud and bounced as far as it'd let her until it got too deep but the murk was still slightly thin.
She paused for a second before wading over to the other log and climbing on. "These are the best way I've found."
She said after her little journey she was sitting looking at Tahki. "Might take a bit longer but at least we'll have energy for the next task."
Her tail flickered as she got distracted by a butterfly and pawed at it. Leaning to far and falling into the murkyness splashing it a bit. "Uh-oh." She laughed surfacing and managing to claw her way back up on the log shaking off. "I think... I got mud in my ears though."

The log traveling made more sense and she was about to say something when splatter of mud hit her face and landed in her mouth all at the same time. Tahki spit and sputtered but laughed along side her new found companion.
"In your ears?" She chuckled ," I got it in my mouth, " She continued to spit as she waded through the murky mud. The mud wasn't so bad, it was just tiring to push out of your way. Her little rabbit like dance through the mud was even more tiring she had found.
She got to a log and unsheathed her claws before climbing upon it and steading her self. Thank god for fallen trees.
"Hey, you think a fallen tree makes a sound if no ones here to hear it fall?" She giggled and watched Suzu as she balanced her self better with her tail.

She chuckled and shook herself off sending mud flying. After she was finished she stretched and scratched her ears before being satisfied. There was still mud on her but not as much as before. "Ew, it tastes funny doesn't it?"
Suzu chuckled and watched the other cub climb up on the log.
She paused and thought, "I don't know. Maybe? We could ask Kona, he thinks he knows everything." She chuckled with a laugh as she started walking the logs until she was near Tahki.
"Which way do you think we should go?"

Takhi gave one more big spit before she settled a little more watching Suzu send lots of mud her way. Some of it speckled Tahki's face but she just smiled and laughed and wondered who Kona was.
"Well," She looked thoughtful for a moment looking out at the horizon left to right before making up her mind. "Lets go right," She pointed into a dark part of the swamp that seemed eerily silent. Something about that path screamed adventure and possibly treasure. Tahki wanted to find adventure but some treasure would be swell as well.
Slowly she made her way across the log towards the rock she had originally been perched on before turning back and giving the other a muddy smile. Tahki nodded in the direction of the path before hopping off the log and missing the rock causing a big splash of mud.
"Ooops," she laughed getting more mud in her mouth and spitting.

Suzu chuckled and nodded following Takhi. As they came closer to the darker part of the swamp she paused, brow lofted. "Why does something not feel right about that?"
She asked looking at Takhi not really sure if they should go that way. "Not that I'm scare of anything, it just doesn't look like anyone would find us if we got into trouble."
She said looking into the darkness.

The other cub had a point, if they for some reason got introuble the two would probably die before anyone found them. Tahki frowned but nodded. Perhaps when the two were older they could go on bolder adventures.
"Which way should we go?" The cub blinked looking at the other.
