So You Think You Can Roleplay?
Modeled after a thread in the forums, SYTYCRP is a contest where you post your best role play responses (you may preface it if you'd like, but the less is better) and a panel of 3-4 judges will decide the winners. You may either post a role play response, or a small--small--original short story of your own. The criteria is:
*Content-Did it make you think? Were you drawn along for the ride as the author weaved a picture for you? Was it interesting? Fun to read? Exotic? Thought-provoking?
*Originality-was it a plain-Jane post, or did it really seem unique?
*Organization-Did they set it up in a way that made sense? Were there paragraphs in the longs ones, and no run-on sentences?
*Grammar-Were there periods, commas, semicolons, and generally punctuation in the right places? Exceptions can be made.
*Vocabulary-Did the vocab really give you a better idea of what the person was talking about? Did it match the situation?
Rules:
(Now here's the catch)
Your post must be at least three lines long (unless cleared by me or one of the judges) and no more than five chunky paragraphs long. Again, if you feel that your post is exceptionally an exception, PM one of the judges to clear it. The contest winners will run weekly unless nobody replies to this, in which case I'll change it. The contest will begin every Sunday and end on Saturday, and then the person who was voted the winner will be awarded 2.5k.* If this contest is successful, there will be runner-ups who recieve prizes as well. For now, they will just recieve the recognition. 3nodding
