I decided to make a picture posting place, to post pictures of your children. I currently don't have a child to post pictures of ( gonk ) but I think it would be awesome for people who did to have a place to post their pictures. *Waits to be mauled by people who think it's a stupid idea.*

I think this is a really cute idea, but for me personally I don't like posting pictures of children on the internet. In a journal perhaps with the proper settings to block out strangers, but in plain view of the public - nah.
That's just me though.
You never know what kind of people will save those pictures, or what silly little girl may try claiming your child as her own in other threads to gain sympathy or respect, or something of the sort. Point being, you just don't know. I'm a bit too paranoid for it myself. Which really bums me out, because I'd love to share her with the world.

That's fine, to each their own. The GPG has a picture thread, and I think this one is loosely based off of that one. If you're not comfortable with posting pictures of yourself, or your children, then that's fine. smile

So it isn't completely public. It's actually private, meaning people can come and view the threads, but I think they have to be a member to post. Not sure.

I feel you I keep a close eye on it though. I would so press charges a women I was conversing with on livejournal claimed she had a little boy and sent pictures it was apparantly a girl she was babysitting and dressing in boys clothes. People are messed up but I dont let it stop me from sharing my boy.

 That's me and my kiddo at a beach in Florida before I moved to the COLD, COLD northwest. As far as sharing pictures goes, I had some 13 year old girl find my Photobucket account, and start a Xanga journal, claiming she was me, and that my kiddo was hers. She said she'd been raped, and then any pictures that have my husband in it, she claimed he was her new boyfriend. She even posted pictures of my car accident, saying she'd been in it. I considered suing, but she shut down her site. It didn't harm anyone, it was just purely annoying. I'll tell you this, though:
