The Invite Hello, Hello! I hope you are finding your orb to be quite a lovely companion. Sorry we haven't met yet, I'm rather understaffed at the moment. Oh, you want to know who this is from, right? Well, I'm Dr.Chai. Sort of a specialist in the field of underground pets. Need help with anything? Ask me! This invite has reached you because it must be weird looking after a glass orb that can move and sound on it's own, right? Well, this is here to show you that there are others out there with them. So come along to this little get together and meet some new people. - Doctor Chai and Maron Oubliette Clinic is in a sort of careful running, due to today's economy. Staff have been let off, funds have been chopped and changed and the clinic has spent a good few months simply shut as action plans were thought up and mulled over. It lies in Gambino, on the cliffs with only head staff operating there. They monitor every single pet that comes from the Underground, plus the owners to make sure things go smoothly. You might not know of them, but they know of you (Ooooh mafia).
Now, it's ready to open it's doors for a little to help the new owners settle in. The head doctor has left his assistant Maron in charge of the current event. Which is basically meeting at a local cafe to meet other owner's and get to know each other.
The cafe is quiant. Offering a range of drinks and sweet treats for nice prices. Maron has hired out the upstairs rooms for the guardians to meet up in. So just waltz on upstairs and say hello, bring your pet along so they can make friends.Rules - Be at least Semi-Literate. - Be nice to others. - Do not Godmod. - Follow ITL Shop rules, Gaia TOS and The Daisy Code. - Have fun.

Lips pursed, Maron wandered around the upper room he had hired out. It was fairly big in size, with a few square tables with quaint lace covers on them. It gave the impression of an old teashop, sort of a mishmash of different decorations. Paintings hung on the dulled flower-print wallpapered walls. Ranging from flowers to scenes of cottages amid fields of flowers. The location was a good place, he had decided when he had first surveyed it.
He brushed deep-red hair back behind an ear and sat down at one of the tables, wondering if this had been a good idea. His boss was rather....eccentric and liked to do silly things, he seemed to specialise in spur-of-the-moment too. It had lost him plenty of staff before and Maron had been close to quitting once or twice over his complete lack of common sense.
He had tried quitting today, when he'd found out he'd be heading this event by himself. He pursed his lips again and stared down at the sheet of names he held. The names of the guardians who currently held orbs and other lower-stage pets. Maron himself did not have a pet, but the man accompanying him did. He flicked his gaze over to him. Honestly, he had been skulking around a little. He'd ordered a coffee, set his orb down on the table and sat down, watching it roll around.
"Uhm....Himeno?" Maron asked quietly, watching him. Himeno looked up, electric blue eyes resting on Maron questioningly. Maron smiled tentatively, Himeno blinked. "What?" He asked rather rudely, sighing when Maron looked disheartened. "N-Nothing.."

Naya walked through the door slowly, taking a quick peek at the cafe before returning her gaze to the piece of paper clutched tightly in her hands. She wasn't actually reading it, it just gave her an excuse to keep her head down. She forced herself up the stairs, fighting the temptation to run into an unoccupied booth and hide until the gathering was over with. As she wondered what possessed her to come to this accursed thing, a small chirp from behind her reminded her. Chuckling quietly, she opened her virtually empty backpack and took out the only thing in it, something small wrapped in a blanket. With a quick glance around she stopped in the middle of the stairs and quickly began to unfold the blanket.
Stuffing the blanket back into her backpack- along with the invitation-Naya held the thing that started it all. The small orb, no more then two inches tall, warmed her hands pulsing slightly as she held it up to her face. It swirled colors like red and brown, creating new colors that hypnotized her. Shaking her head, she stared gravely at the small orb. "You better appreciate this, little buddy," Naya said quietly as the orb cooed in response. "I'll hold you to that." She responded before lowering the orb and starting up the stairs again.
At the top, Naya took a deep breathe and then slowly pushed the door open, revealing a very pleasant room that smelled faintly of coffee. Looking around, she noticed that she was one of the first to arrive and only saw one other orb.She started for it before seeing the man watching it. Blushing, she hung her head again and started for a seat in the far bak corner, not even noticing the red headed man in the room.
Quickly taking a seat, Naya pulled her orb out and started murmuring to it, letting her hair fall around her face, making a barrier. Trying to ignore the voice in the back of her head, calling her a wimp, she weakly gestured for the waitress and quietly ordered a coffee.

"Hey." Himeno motioned with a slight nod towards the stairs when he heard someone on them. The place was rather well used, the stairs slightly creaky in places. Maron looked around as well, watching the empty doorway curiously. The orb, Fuluydai was spinning his merry way around the sugar cube pot, trilling some sort of song to itself as it did so. Maron and Himeno were still staring at the doorway, waiting for the person to enter the upper room.
Maron blinked when Naya walked through the door. She started towards Himeno, before falling back to a back table. He looked at Himeno, who shrugged in reply, before getting up and wandering over, setting Fuluydai down on the table with a soft thud. "Hello." He greeted Naya, despite her trying to make a barrier between her and them, the whole point of this shindig was to make friends with other owners, right? He sat down across from her, smiling in a way that he hoped was warmish. "You don't need to be so shy. He's a wimp and I'm kinda nice..once you get past the pouting." He said in a light tone.
Fuluydai meanwhile, was rolling around in front of Naya, trying to get the other orb to play with him. He trilled happily, glowing faintly in happiness.

Oh god. Naya thought to herself, body tensing as she heard the man who was previously watching the orb walk over to her. She breathed deeply, trying to calm her nerves as she thought of having to actually converse with a human. Absentmindedly running her hand over the cool surface of her orb, Aibhne, she tried to come up with all of the tricks she knew to try and keep herself from hyperventilating. Counting to three, Naya slowly sat up, brushing her hair behind her ears. Looking up, she noticed he was already there and quickly put her head back down, blushing.
"Umm, h-hi." she mumbled. She knew she was being stupid because the point of this was to learn more about the point of these orbs and find out about others who have them and what they know. "Suck it up." She whispered to herself before finally looking up at him and responding. "He doesn't look that wimpy, and you don't look that nice." She said, voice shaking slightly. "But, don't take it personally, I'm like this around everyone." She looked down, seeing her hand trembling and grabbing the table for support. Using the returning waitress as a way to gather her thoughts and temporarily halt his reply, she grabbed her coffee and sipped, the coffee sloshing as her hands shook.
Aibhne, the complete opposite of Naya, rolled happily over to Fuluydai purring happily and letting off little chirps. He started to move in a circle around him, radiating warmth.

*Jayce yawned and sipped from her "to go" coffee. Chandra and Ulrich went ahead. Those two were nigh inseparable so it was up to her to carry Hyakurin's orb. She was fond of its green and rose colors, it reminded her of a fancy garden. Speaking of gardens, Jack was in some tree's unsure if he wanted to even go in. He felt strange outside of his precious forest but even the "green man" had to make an appearance sometime. It shouldn't matter if Eve was there or not.
Once inside, Jayce found the lighting a bit too bright for her taste but she did not complain. Instead she found her way to a table and watched Ulrich lead Chandra into a romantic dance. After another yawn she cursed her insomnia and let her eyes wonder around the room. She was never a social butterfly much less a butterfly at all. Usually she was busy running the Bar and Grill she owned and cooking for the customers that came in or getting them drinks from the bar.*

Kait stepped into the little tea-shop, unsure of why she was really here. Of course she had figured out weeks ago that the small orb she held tight against her under her coat was made of more than just glass. It had taken alot to get her to accept that Exile was in fact, a living being like herself. Although she wasn't so sure of herself after that little shock. After all, this was all like some strange story out of the old books on her shelf in the living room. Some sort of strange twist to Alice Through The Looking Glass. Yes, she could see it now. Kait Through The Smoky Orb. She giggled to herself, joined by the minute hum that was Exile's voice.
Remembering why she was in that particular spot, she checked the note once more and started up the stairs. She slipped through the door and sat at a small table by herself. The weather outside was warm, and the stuffy air of the upper tea-shop was to much for the young blonde. Comforted by the sight of a few other orbs, she set Exile on the table and proceed to pull off the light coat. The smokey black and red orb hummed in displeasure at being ignored, even for a few seconds. She smiled and pushed the orb in a lazy circle. "You hush..."

Oh. This girl was the wallflower type, or something. Himeno smiled patiently, chuckling at her view on him. "If I wasn't very nice, I'd be picking at your faults right now. I'm sure you're an easy target." He replied when she finally spoke. At least she had said hi, he supposed. That was a start. "Oh, I won't." Himeno smiled at her again, brushing a hand through short-black spiked hair. "I'm Himeno, and this is Fuluydai." He introduced himself, motioning down to the hyperactive white and blue orb currently zooming around after Aibhne, obviously pleased the other was playing with him.
Maron meanwhile, was watching others as they entered, certainly wishing that the doctor hadn't decided today was a good day to take a day off. His cheeks flushed pink in nerves as he looked over at Jayce, who seemed to have quite an array of pets. He looked measuringly around, before stepping closer, going to stand by her table. "H-hello..." He greeted. "Thank you for coming.."
So he really should have come along earlier, yes. But Cupid demanded his attention, and his fiance demanded his attention. He stepped into the cafe and cheerfully made his way upstairs, after a young girl and her orb. Thimble clung to his hand, looking measuringly at the orb, while Bracken drifted behind them, her nose buried in a book. He checked the note, waving rather enthusiastically at Maron.
"Hello, Hello!" He greeted happily, clinging to Thimble, who was eyeing up the potted plants on a way that a kid eyed up their favourite candy. Thimble was trying to tug free and go and devour the yummy looking plant. Bracken just floated over and sat across from Kait, still reading her book as she set it down on the table, leaning over it.

Kait glanced up at Bracken and smiled a little, before returning to spinning Exile in circles. He rolled away, moving back and forth in front of Bracken as if trying to preen. He wanted the attention of anyone withing reach. Kait frowned and tried to lure him back, to no avail. She shook her head and muttered a quiet apology as she watched the newest arrival come in.
It seemed everyone was a little shy, which comforted her even more. It would be a very uncomfortable situation if she were the only one who was unsure of why they had come.

Japi, afraid she was late again as always, ducked in the room and looked around. There are already so many people here, she thought to herself, a little disappointed in her tardiness.
The orb she held in her hands was a swirling sky blue and white. She usually kept the sphere in the sleeve pocket of the green kimono she was wearing, but today she found it appropriate to carry it in plain sight. After all, this was supposed to be a gathering for orb carriers, right?
Indeed, as she surveyed the little room, there were quite a few people carrying little orbs with them. "Keeeeee," the little orb squeaked. Japi guessed that it was excited to see others like it. She wondered if it could even actually see.
There were plenty of people in various groups already interacting. Japi picked the only one sitting by herself and sat across from her. "Hi, I'm Japi," she greeted cheerfully, bowing slightly and setting her orb down on the table. "And this is Squee." As if in response to hearing it's name, the orb let out another excited "Keeeeee," and began rolling about.
((That be you, Jayce. heart As far as I can discern at least.))

Maron was pleased, very pleased. So many people were turning out for this little meet! He took a step back and peered around the room at large. The group was fairly large, but small enough not to be overwhelming. He peered at his clipboard, at the name and picture of the orb scrawled next to the owner name.
"Uhm...the cakes here are good so...please order as you like, everyone..." He called, before moving to sit at a table with two people there, smiling warmly at them. "hello." He greeted happily.
Himeno peered up at Rufus, smiling a little in welcome. He placed his hand over Fuluydai, who trilled in both happiness and irritation at being stopped. "Hey, I'm Himeno and this is Fuluydai." He greeted, since Maron had moved away from them now and the girl wasn't replying. Ah well.

Japi's ears almost visibly perked at the mention of cake. She twisted around to see if there was a waitress nearby and waved her down. "I'll have a big piece of whatever your favorite cake is," she informed her. "And some hot tea, herbal if you've got it, but I'm not real picky."
The woman nodded and promised to be back with the tea and cake quickly, though Japi assured her there was no rush. The waitress left the room.
"Keeeeee," Squee did what he did best as he rolled about. Japi offhandedly wondered if he could taste cake.

"Nice to meet you."Rufus sighed on the inside, feeling glad he had come. He could feel his own shyness melt away as he looked around at all the other shy and confused faces. He wasn't alone. He silently thanked Wrath. When he noticed a waitress walk by, he beckoned her over. The mention of cake made him realize how very hungry he was; he had skipped breakfast in anxiety. "Can I get an order of Earl Grey tea and some coffee cake, please?" He thanked her as she walked off to fetch his order and turned to Wrath who was happily playing with the Fuluydai, rolling around in odd patterns and occasionally letting out a very happy sounding 'Quii'. "So... how did you come across Fuluydai?"
