...that I'm almost gay.
(yes almost because I still have a little attraction to the opp. sex XD)
Well, my friends call it homoflexable. but yeah, still, I think I'm gonna tell my parents tonight, before I go to my friends drama production. Any advice from people who've already come out to there parents? It'd be greatly appreciated heart ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Ok so I havent told them, but I told the teacher who's just like a second mom to me last night after our Speak meeting (we have too many activits groups, so we combined them all into one thing called Speak).
She just took me into her arms, hugged me REALLY tight, and was really suportive, we talked about it for like half an hour...and I just get warm fuzzies thinking about it.
Is it just me, or, does it feel like this huge weight is lifted when you come out to those who you repect and love?

Always try to keep in mind that parents were once young, but that does NOT prepare them for the conflicts we teenagers face today. They don't understand anything about our views on PDA (because that was just the way it was back then) or about drugs and piercings (because they didn't have thoughts like that for some reason) and they certainly didn't talk about being gay. Most didn't even know their best friends were gay, if that was the case. Everyone was afraid "coming out" and expected to be beaten the crap out of and ridiculed.
That's what parents are afraid of these days. They don't judge you, most of them, at least. The ones that love you. Most of them are worried about what other people will think, if you're too young to know what you're talking about, or that they've somehow messed up in their parenting to make you turn into a queer little folk. They'll start suspecting, even if they don't voice it, if they babied you too much, which is a main problem with a lot of mothers.
*shrug* You can tell them or you cannot, not if you will or will not. If it is in your soul, it will find the right time to come out.

Dairymaid Whenever I think of telling my parents, a little voice goes ? Danger, doom and destruction!!? I don?t know. Maybe I?m just weird. Of course, it depends on you?re parents. What are they like? (Actually, my parents are fine.) My parents are fine. I was talking about this with my friend yesterday. She figured it about herself, around the same I did (shes 3years older then me) she came out when she was seinor, but now I'm a JR and ready to tell my mom. Quote: "homoflexable"? Whatever you decide to do, best of luck. I wish I had advice or something, but... yes, [mongrel] homoflexable. We have another term, which was created before that we use: heteroflexible. means that your bassiclly straight but girls are an option...so one morning me and my friend wendy we talking and she said I was homoflexible and it kinda stuck XD lol *hugs Lady_Carley* thanks mrgreen I didnt think about that, and thats a good veiw point. *smiles* I REALLY thank you for giving me that veiw point. ...and no I havent told them yet...I'm telling my mom tomorrow when I get home from practice ^^;

I guess it depends on the parents. I won't tell my parents until I have moved far far far away.

I've thought about tellinng my parents, but I'm going to wait awhile. I think if I'd tell them now they 'd try to "fix" me. Then tellme how wrong it's supposed to be. I don't think I'm ready to hear all that. Though I think the wonder about it sense I'm in the GSA at my school.
