so listen up, this is pretty heavy.
about a year ago, you could say i had a sorta spiritual experience.
a person that i looked up to for guidance, someone who was pretty solid, showed me something crazy intense.
it's a boxed set called medicine cards: the discovery of power through the ways of animals. by jamie sams and david carson.
basically it comes with all these cards of animals. you lay them all out in front of you. and you choose the one that you're drawn to, influenced by, or one you can identify with.
it's best to do it with a few people, while being really silent and finding that vibe. listening to spiritual music helps too, especially native american tunes.
once you choose your card you look at the book that comes with them. find the animal that you have chosen. and read about it. it all has to do with native american legends and beliefs.
it's was so insane when we did it. the explanations were us, almost to a tee.
_____
so if you think this sounds like something you are interested in, you should really check it out. the thing is you can't do it online. it just won't work. you can find the book on amazon or whatever.
here's a link about it: click it
you may not be into that stuff, but i gotta say it was way neat. the hummingbird was mine. C:

Ohhh, that looks great. It sounds sort of like tarot? But then not... With the future and stuff, right?

kinda like tarot cards.
but most of it tells you about the legend of the animal, and then your personality. and really insightful stuff. there's maybe some advice or what the future may in tell. but it's not really like tarot reading.
it's more of a one time thing. something you can share with others, helping you feel closer to them.
plus some people believe that tarot cards are like evil or whatever. [i don't.] but i don't think they feel that way about animal spirit cards. it's very spiritual. :]

hmm, i don't think you have to. i mean i'm sure in the book it tells you what you need to do. but i would guess that it would be better with friends. C:
if not friends then like family. or even a pet around.. maybe?
