Physical Description:
Looks about 23 years of age. He has Bluish-black hair with a long ponytail coming from about the center of his scalp. Cut right at eye length in the bangs and long strands coming down beside the bangs. Kanda has sapphire blue eyes, yet a disgusted look on his face at most times and wears a necklace of a lightning bolt charm. He is not a very muscular fellow, for he was never one to work out. He normally relies mostly on his amazing counter attacks and intelligence rather than brute force
Personality: Kanda is a very quiet, dark, and harsh person. He is not one to fool around. Kanda means business and is always serious. He always has a disgusted look on his face and has been a very dark person ever since his father, a former shinigami, died after an unknown shinigami killed him in his sleep.
Accessories: A necklace with a charm of a lightning bolt given to Kanda by his father when they first met up in Soul Society that enhances his reiatsu.
Skills: Kanda is very keen towards his surroundings and can sense a bad presence if one is near. This enables him to fight on sound alone if he needs to.
Abilities: Keen and aware of his surroundings. If anything goes wrong he can make a backup plan for it.
Background/History: Kanda was born in the main land of Japan and was always made fun of because of his hair. He was called "chopped hair" by everyone at school, which was the beginning of his fall to depression. His father was very supportive of his dream to become a writer and they had a great relationship. Kanda always loved to hear stories of a place called Seretei and shinigami. One day they were driving home from Kanda’s soccer game and he told his father how much he loved the lightning. Then immediately after he said that, lightning struck the road and caused them to swerve and crash. When they were both lead to Seretei, Kanda’s father took the shinigami’s sword as he was trying to send him, thus giving him the powers of a shinigami. In Seretei his father trained to become a shinigami and achieved that goal. He came back to a distraught Kanda one day and gave him a necklace that had a charm of a lightning bolt. He told him stories of what it was like, but he also said that he was an outcast and the other shinigami did not respect him. That day in the middle of the night he was stabbed in his sleep. When news reached Kanda he wept for days but then decided to take action, he became a shinigami in memory of his father.
When Kanda first entered the Gotei 13, he joined Squad 13 immediately for he felt his skills would best be shaped there. He turned out to be correct and he made many friends along the way, but there was one that he felt was more than a friend, Kirahara Aine. She was a beautiful girl that was just a few years behind him in graduating from the Academy. He had always noticed her to be an excellent student and felt her to be a fair match for him even if he wouldn’t say it. When he 23 had been in the Squad 13 for four years, Aine had just graduated from the Academy at the age of 19 and entered Squad 13. After that, he seemed to enjoy the squad even more than before.
One day, both were pared up to go on a difficult mission to Earth. The mission was to exterminate a few hollow, but it turned out to be more than that. Once they made it to Earth, they had found the hollow to be easy picking and as they were about to head back through the senkaimon, a rip appeared in the sky above Karakura town. A Gillian appeared from it and began to destroy the city. Without thinking, Kanda went in and tried to attack it directly. As soon as the Gillian caught sight of him, it started to charge its Cero. Kanda froze up and it seemed as if it was the end from him, but little did he know, Aine was running right behind him and was able to tackle him out of Gillian’s target area. Right as it fired, their Captain appeared and was able to easily divert the Cero’s path back into the sky and then slash the Gillian in half. Kanda ended up not being hurt at all besides minor bruises from Aine’s tackle.
Kanda was forever grateful to Aine for saving his life and they became close friends who sparred together whenever they got the chance and went on missions together ever time. They had sworn to each other one day that they would rise through the ranks together and eventually become Captains to rid the world of evil. They trained together constantly so that they could one day achieve their goal of becoming a Captains

Zanpakuto Name: Mugenmaboroshi (Infinite Phantom)
Zanpakuto Spirit: Quetzalcoatl
Zanpakuto: The blade is a simple Wakizashi with a slight curve to it. The hilt guard is in the shape of a 4 point-Shuriken and the hilt wrapping’s main color is green but has linings of gold on the green fabric.
Shikai: [Not yet achieved] Storm upon thine enemy, Mugenmaboroshi! (Infinite Phantom). Kanda lifts both hands into the air (sword in his right hand) and lightning strikes them. When the lightning is gone, you see that he has two 4 point-Shurikens in his hands that both have handles in the middle. The Shurikens are augmented with lightning so they are even more lethal. They are lightweight so they allow Kanda to make lightning quick strikes while packing a serious punch.
Bankai:Raitontentei-Mugenmaboroshi (Lightning God-Mugenmaboroshi ) [Not yet achieved] In the pre-release stage of his bankai, Kanda begins to gather a mass amount of reiatsu that he later condenses and releases all at once. Storm clouds begin to appear overhead and then one large bolt of lightning strikes Kanda, causing him to vanish. After a few seconds of being gone, one more lightning bolt hits the ground in the same place and Kanda reappears from it, looking like Mugenmaboroshi himself. He is wearing a black cloak that is frayed and torn at the edges and the hood. In the center of the cloak you can see a large version of the lightning bolt charm that he normally wears. Instead of having the same 4-point Shurikens this time, they are 8-point shurikens with each blade shaped like lightning bolts.
Techniques:
Kyouran Raiton: [Not yet achieved] In Shikai or Bankai, Kanda screams Kyouran Raiton (Lightning Fury) as he throws both of the Shurikens into the air. Hundreds of lighting bolts then seem to be streaking from the sky, but upon looking at it closer they are hundreds of small lightning augmented Shurikens that come down to strike the enemy at once. After the barrage, the small Shurikens that are on the ground combine together to form Kanda's shurikens again. In actuality, even though it was obvious, the small shurikens were created when the large shurikens separated apart.
Quetzalcoatl no Gekido (Quetzalcoatl's Rage): [Not yet achieved] In Bankai, Kanda screams to the sky for Quetzalcoatl (Aztec Lighting God) and then he swoops down to carry Kanda up into the heavens. Then, using gravity to their advantage, they go into a kamikaze dive, heading straight for their target at about 160 k/h (nearly 100 mph). Just before they hit the ground, Kanda shunpos off of Quetzalcoatl in order to be safe just in case this attack did not finish the enemy off.
Raiton no Karuma (Wheel of Lightning): [Not yet achieved] Kanda twirls both of the Shurikens creating one large lightning barrier in front of him that can hold off most attacks.
Raikou Yofun Genkotsu: [Not yet achieved] In any form, Kanda lets an immense amount reiatsu flow around his body. He then concentrates it enough and manipulates it so that it turns into bands of reiatsu that begin to spin around his whole body at a high velocity. With every revolution of his body, the bands circulate faster and become tighter around his body until they finally form a shell of reiatsu around him. After forming the shell, a lightning bolt shocks the shell and causes it to disperse and explode like a balloon. When Kanda becomes visible, he has electricity circulating around the outside of his body. His strength increases which makes all of his attacks much more lethal, especially his hakudou style.

1. Thrust (衝, shō?)[19] — Pushes the target away from the caster.
4. White Lightning (白雷, byakurai?)[20] — Fires a concentrated bolt of white lightning from the caster's forefinger.
Bakudo:
1. Restrain (塞, sai?)-Locks a target's arms in place behind their back.
4. Crawling Rope (這縄, hainawa?)[7] — An energy rope entangles a target's arms.
8. Repulse (斥, seki) - Creates a round shield that seems to temporarily paralyze and repel whatever strikes it
9. Strike (撃, geki?)[8] — Engulfs a target in red light, completely paralyzing them.
