I've been playing the clarinet for nearly 4 years. What are some good ways to get over the bridge smoothly? I also play a few other instruments and I just haven't been able to because of time restraints.

What are some songs you like to play on the clarinet?

Any jazz clarinetists?

*A way to get over the bridge smoothly is too put your bottom hand down when you get to the G(the one with no fingers)
*I love to play fast songs on the clarinet and i also like to play some smooth elegant songs...but i especially love to play the fast runs that are in our marching band music.
*I didn't know clarinets could be a jazz instrument. Our schooljazz band has no clarinets in it. D=

Do you all enjoy playing the clarinet or is it just something you chose because you couldn't play any of the other instruments?
I know that i personally love playing the clarinet. It can be played soft and beautifull and it can also be played fast and furious. The brass instruments tend to have a hard time doing that, although i do like the sound of the french horns!

I know that trick. In Hey we move so fast you have to put your hand down or you will lose part of your clarinet. *This was learned from experience*

There isn't an official part most of the time but a lot of the time I'll just play the trumpet line and I"ll be louder.

I love just playing the clarinet. Last year as part of the pit band in the musical I got to play everything. It was awesome. Fast and slow. Loud and soft. <3<3<3
